Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am very fortunate to be an owner at this wonderful holiday park and returned to the park for the new season on the 14/02/2020 and have to say Andrew the team have worked extremely hard to keep the park looking great especially after the horrible wet winter. I took advantage of the new leisure facilities and the renovations are first class the changing rooms, gym, steam room and sauna are really outstanding, with the gym being stocked with the latest equipment equally as good as any national gym in the UK. The reception has also been renovated and looks clean tidy and inviting. The bar and restaurant remain inviting with a well stocked bar and a great menu. Lots of events and acts being planned for 2020 and i would recommend this site to anyone whether to own, holiday, gym membership or just a night out.
Well done everyone

We just wanted to say what a fantastic holiday despite the weather. The lodge was exceptional, clean and absolutely beautiful. All the staff we met were so friendly. We felt very safe in the environment and all the measures put into place for covid were very well set out for us to understand. The lodge was spotless and just amazing. We felt very spoilt with the goodies left in the lodge on our arrival and very welcomed after a long journey. We felt like we were in heaven in the hot tub. My pictures of the park do not do it justice. Everything from booking the holiday until leaving was perfect. We just did not want to leave. The nature walk was really lovely and such a brilliant idea for all ages. Very interesting facts as you walked around. I have to say it is the best lodge we have ever stayed in. Thank you once again for the most perfect stay ever. We will definitely return again if we are in the area. We could not find any fault at all. Thank you everyone for giving us lovely memories. We were also given a list of helpful phone numbers of services we may need. Cindy - Manager also gave us ideas of things we may be interested in doing during our stay.

Room Tip: The lodges are in a quiet secluded spot for a quieter retreat. Luxury at a fabulous price.

Disappointed and shocked at the treatment we received. We loved this site and enjoyed the time we had until they decided to be an Owners Only site a couple of years ago and that’s when they became greedy.
Whatever you do if you buy a caravan from this site do not comment on their social media when they make mistakes with dates etc, they make many and still are, you will be kicked off the Facebook group and be called a keyboard warrior, we were only pointing out the errors so they could amend them, at no point were we rude and abusive. Don’t agree with anything anyone else says i.e how expensive the new menu is, you will be asked to attend a face to face meeting via a very intimidating letter from them demanding the meeting. If you have to communicate with them, be prepared to be lied to, or be ignored. We chased up a response to a letter we sent, we were told a reply letter had been sent and they would send it again first class, no letters arrived so asked for it by email which we got but by the date of the letter it was never done in the first place and 3 months later still no letters have arrived, other emails have been ignored too. Also be prepared to not have access the restaurant when there is a ticketed event which is very expensive, even though you have paid all that money on site fees you won’t be let in. Events purely for owners get cancelled because not enough people are attending, well if they are on a Friday, what do they expect when people are probably working, more would probably go if it was on a Saturday. Children’s entertainment at half term on the Saturday after half term, well most will be going home then. Not customer focused at all. Don’t get to know the staff too well as they will have left in the blink of an eye, staff turnover is very high. We felt bullied into making the decision to leave the site, if your face doesn’t fit with the General Manager there’s not much hope for you. They couldn’t even be bothered to confirm payment of the sale of our caravan to them or send us the final bill for the electric. Very unprofessional site. We actually believe that they wanted us off site as they wanted the plot for a brand new caravan as it has now been removed, probably so they can get more money out of someone else, pure greed.

Disappointing lunch very mean with the meat the joint got halved then two very thin slices which only was one really any thinner and you would have seen through it. Nice selection of veg. Food not that hot and table too close to where people were queueing for the food my husband said it was like someone sitting on his shoulder watching him eat. Holiday camp we know but not relaxing experience. Then the bill came we had two carvery meals one pint of ipa and half pint of aspells. Bill said £50.10 I said I don’t think so roast was £14.95 bit pricey had much better and cheaper in local hotel. Anyway I said bill was £36.90 with our drinks . I always check our bill where ever we go but I wonder how many people get ripped off here without noticing.

Just came back from a fab meal. All you can eat chicken wings and ribs were well worth the price, nice and flavoured and not dry at all. The food was wonderful and the staff were great. Will definitely be going back to try the other specials. Also great that it’s dog friendly

Just had a meal in the restaurant. Out of 10 they get a 10 today. Nut wellington, Fish and chips and goats cheese and onion parcel. All which will be ordered again!

Music was light and background perfect for a chat over a meal or relaxing.

Service was attentive and friendly.

Along with my Daughter, son-in law, grandchild we were looking to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The restaurant was spacious modern and …. Empty. Then it all went horribly wrong .
We were first surprised to see a very basic pub type menu. My wife was underwhelmed and went for scampi , I lasagna, daughter hunters chicken and son-in law burger. The food arrived - all except the burger was sent back . The scampi £18 arrived on child’s plate with frozen chips no salad or peas , my daughters chicken was so overcooked you could bounce off the ceiling, the lasagna was a burnt mush . Im not going to comment on the burger… as usual the bemused staff almost expected the food to be returned. No manager to be seen or chef . A quite awful experience .

Great location for cliff top / beach walks into Cromer or East Runton. Bus stop outside camp for the coastal bus either direction, one hour into Wells Next the Sea.
Good Covid safe facilities for all units and well stocked shop.
Helpful friendly staff.

My friend and I joined woodland gym and swim some months ago and it has been a very enjoyable experience
we have been treated exceptionally well from day one. Peter and staff on reception have made us feel very welcome and have taken a real interest in our fitness regime.
The cleanliness at woodland has been exceptional. The domestic staff headed by Julie and Linda have also been very helpful and have gone out of their way to support us to have a enjoyable visit.
We visit woodlands at least 3 times a week but on Sunday morning after a gruelling gym and swimming for a couple of hours we can’t get a drink or snack in the restaurant until 11.30.
They only serve a cooked lunch on Sundays but we would prefer a snack for lunch.
We enjoy every minute of our visits and would highly recommend woodlands.
Thank you to the wonderful staff.

How far/long is the walk to Cromer? Could young children do it or is it too far? Many thanks
Answer from Curiosity
21 contributions8 helpful votes
You can reach Cromer by a beach walk or road. There is also a very good bus service just outside the camp site. If I remember correctly the beach walk is accessed via a slip way at Runton, 10 minutes from the camp and then a further 25/30 minutes depending on how much beach fun is had on the way!
