What a great place to stay on the island of Panarea! Close to tons of restaurants but located a bit further away from the crowds so you feel like you're in your own private paradise. The property is beautiful and the breakfast included was delicious! Luca and his mother made our stay in Panarea so great! We would definitely return!
This is a great place: clean, well-run, with a family touch. Luca and his Mom are great hosts, really care about your comfort, and provide great food and pastries (made by Luca's wife). Overall, great value for money and a place to come back! Grazie mille, Luca!
The room we had was fine, nothing exceptional, but having a lovely outdoor seating area with our own citrus trees really boosted the experience. This is a great option on a wonderful island. The owners are totally accommodating and we felt like house guests. We were there off season but when it was still warm enough to swim, snorkel, sit outside for dinner, etc. Highly recommended, but you have to be prepared to do some walking! If you are as lucky as we were, you may even see Stromboli erupt.
For me it is very rare that I didn't want to leave! The b&b is a magical place with a beautiful atmosphere. The breakfast is delicious and very Italian! I would highly recommend this destination if you want a relaxing holiday in Panarea!
My first stay in a B&B since I was a kid and it was a great choice. Lina, Antonella and Luca pulled out all the stops to make us feel welcome and looked after, without being in any way on top of us (which was my recollection of some land-ladies in B&Bs from my childhood!). Lina even to took to asking us "what do you want for breakfast tomorrow?" which made the kids very happy. One evening, we invited Lina to sit with us after dinner and she went and got a bottle of desert wine and we asked her about her fascinating life in Panarea and Sicily. The highlights: - nicely maintained with pretty gardens, whitewashed walls, plenty of comfy outside furniture (with shade). Flowers everywhere. - far enough from the port area to ensure that place is pretty much silent: sometimes the noisiest thing was the sound of boats chugging by, a hundred yards or so down the hill, which says a lot. My siestas were entirely undisturbed.... - good air-conditioning, which is essential if you are there in July/August - the outdoor shower is great for cooling off and getting rid of sand/salt after a day at the beach - breakfast was pastries, bread, yoghurt and fruit....plus coffee/juice - incredible views across the sea & other islands...but I guess this goes for the whole of Panarea Things to note: - it's about a 10 minute stroll up from the port. Luca picked us up with our luggage, but it's a bit of a walk with shopping (if you intend to cook) in the heat. A golf-buggy taxi is about €10, which we sometimes took, sometimes not - it's a taxi ride to Zimmari, the best beach, also €10. I would guess it's a 45 minute walk, but we never tried! - Calcara beach is a 25 minute walk (roughly) up the road and then down a steep-ish path, but it was safe enough for my kids, who are not overly outdoorsy and all in flip-flops. The fumaroles are no longer active though, but it's still a nice spot for a dip, with lots of little fish - Boat tours can be pricey but if you are lucky, Lina's brother will take you out for a more reasonable price Basically, this is a pretty awesome place to stay, particularly if you are looking for a quiet spot away from the port.…
