Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A comfortable stay and the restarant food was excellent for dinner and breakfast and reasonably priced for the quality. Highly recommended to guests who want to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery and walks and come back to a great little hotel with a chef who cares about the food being produced to guests. Nice staff as well

Stayed for a week and used the hotel as a base for hiking holiday in the Picos. The hotel is a good 2 star standard hotel with the exception of the evening meals which were of an exceptionally high standard. Night after night we were treated to wonderful choice on the menu. All locally sourced produce. All served to a professional standard by the friendly hotel staff.

Just returned from our annual holiday at this amazing small family run hotel. This was the tenth time we've stayed here and find everything about it wonderful. Sami, the chef and proprietor along with his parents and staff made every minute a joy. The food that comes out of their kitchen is superb and the atmosphere so relaxing. The rooms are very comfortable and meticulously cleaned every day. If you visit The Picos de Europa either for hiking or just sightseeing this, in our opinion is the place to stay!

Just stayed at La Casa De Juansabeli in the beautiful Picos d'Europa National Park. What a wonderful place to use as a base for exploring. The comfortable rooms are kept immaculately clean by the housekeeping staff, the bar and restaurant staff are all cheerful and polite and the food made with love and exceptional skill in our opinion is second to none. The owner and chef Sami produces amazing dishes using local produce that is both innovative and delicious. It all deserves more than 5 stars

Finding an excellent hotel like this on your journey is one the things that makes traveling so rewarding. Considering the very reasonable prices, my expectations weren't too high. But this was probably the most comfortable and welcoming hotel we experienced on our trip around northern Spain. Sitting on the front terrace with a beer after a long day of hiking was one of the highlights of our trip. And dinner in the charming restaurant was also excellent and great value. Very highly recommended!

We stayed there for 2 nights. The room was spacious enough and the bathroom was excellent. The mattress is very good for a good night of sleep. Dinner at the hotel are a most have. We had 2 very good experience with some very good dishes that are tradicional and modern at the same time. The breakfast is a typical Spanish breakfast (so expect some embutidos) with orange juice, good coffee fruits and some croissant cake. Very good and will come back next time.

We have stayed at this hotel six times and absolutely adore it. The hotel itself is run by Sami who has the unique ability to smile 24 hours a day, his staff are fantastic and always extremely helpful and courteous and his food is unbelievably good but that really is an understatement, superb wouldn't do it justice. Every meal we have had there and that is a lot because in the evening we always eat there, has been stunning and memorable. If you enjoy the best food and wine at incredibly reasonable prices in a very comfortable hotel then look no further but don't just stay for an overnight stop because you will regret having to leave!

We were a walking group of 9 and couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay, with the extremely courteous, helpful and knowledgeable Tyrone and his team. We were suitably plied with craft beers (and gin and brandy, and orange jam), given great insider tips on walks and enjoyed a delicious cuisine (the mild critique being the size of the starters!). The only gripe, and it's a sign of ourtimes, is that the WiFi was a bit archaic, individual logins per room (??) and the range was a bit iffy. Anyway, overall it was a great spot and we'd go back again in a flash.
