Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visit the hotel for many years. Every time there is something new, something better. It's a very pleasant place to stay, and an ideal base for discovering the Beaujolais area. And Gilles is a fantastic host!

Our stay of 3 nights in such a pleasant location was lovely. The hotel is well located and the owners welcoming and charming. Breakfast was delicious, fresh bread served warm plus a varied choice on the buffet. Although no restaurant as such there was a good choice of items for dinner. Not forgetting the quality beaujolais wines. The only slight disappointment was our room which was very cramped with little provision for clothes. But the bathroom was fine. The swimming pool was welcome after a busy day buying wine.

This was a wonderful small hotel. Very clean. Comfortable beds. AC worked well. Very nice breakfast and lovely staff. Receptionist woman spoke English well and helped with reservations off property for dinner. Pool looked inviting although we did not use it. Great stay in Fleurie.

Hotel is wonderful, room is very good and it is all good value for money. However it is very difficult, even dangerous, for older people to get in and out of the shower as you have to climb a high tub wall. Although just one negative point it could make it impossible for us to stay there in the future

Very friendly staff met me and accommodated my every request - early check-in, printing, etc. The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from the town centre and I would stay again. Wifi was good and private parking provided. I stayed with my dog and there was no trouble at all. Overall a really nice experience.

Excellent for a stopover hotel. Staff friendly and helpful, there was no restaurant but the owner/manager booked us into a lovely restaurant for dinner. Room pretty and serviceable, though we could have done with some toiletries. Lovely area and location, we didn't use the pool but it was good to know we could if we wanted to.

Switched from our regular Beaujolais stopover in Julienas which has become rather pricey (although I’m sure still excellent), to HDGV in Fleurie. Good move. Charming, helpful people. Lovely room, excellent value. All that and the walk back from the village after dinner is all downhill. Merci pour votre excellente hospitalité, très agréable.

We stumbled into this hotel when the one we had booked turned out to be terrible. This was a great find. Room is not huge, but very well organised, clean, air conditioned (I don’t think they all are so best to double check if you are booking). Shower good, separate toilet which I like. They even have a swimming pool, which I like. Plenty of parking. Good breakfast, with home made jams, but no fruit offered, which is a mark down from us. The reception is warm and friendly. All in all a great place and highly recommend.
