We spent one night before and two nights after cycling the Archipelago Trail. We felt like coming home after the trip as we, four Swiss couples, occupied the the four spacious, clean and cosy rooms in a former barn. We could help ourselves with tea and coffee ( even George Clooney and Nespresso were present) in the kitchen area and...

We stayed in this B&B as part of our cycle tour of the Turku archipelago. It was a lovely place. Our host made us feel very welcome and left us to our own devices in the kitchen on the afternoon we arrived. We could help ourselves to whatever was available (there is an honesty system in place). The sauna was...

Attractive, clean and spacious room in the converted barn. Convenient central kitchen area, with fridge to store your food. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Barbecue outside which we used to cook dinner, then dined at the patio tables in the sunshine. Lovely! Tom was a very helpful host. We hired bikes to cycle out to Kirjais. Bikes were very well...

Hello, I am glad you enjoyed your stay by us and thankful for your review. Sorry to hear that you felt that the price for the bikes per day where too high for you. Best regards, Tom

The rooms in the converted barn are very large and comfortable. The common area is also very roomy, with a large kitchen and dinning area ... and a perfect loft for relaxing at the end of a long day. I fell asleep in that loft on more than one occasion. The property offers a very nice sauna along with wonderful...

One of the better places we've stayed at. Attractive and very comfortable room. Very clean. Use of washer/dryer (very helpful during 3-day bike trip in archipelago). Quiet, pastoral location. Friendly, caring and responsive service from Tom. Lovely breakfast. Use of common spaces (kitchen, lounge, seating areas) in beautiful shared facilities. Just perfect, really.

Dear Ira, Thank you for your review and kind words. To avoid misunderstandings, the washer/dryer is available only in room Bruntan. We enjoyed having you as our guests for a few days. Best regards Erna and Tom

Beautiful property setting, nicely decorated, quiet, clean rooms, amazing breakfast. We had a room that faced the wheat field, with a private outdoor deck/lounge area, which was awesome. I liked that Tom had bikes right there for rent. A rural gem. Rural being a key word. If you do not have a vehicle, you can expect an 8km bike ride...

What a wonderful place!!!! Huge comfortable room, big clean bathroom. Breakfast very good with plenty of choice! Part of our arrangement was also food in the evening cooked and served by Tom, the owner. Best salmon I have ever tasted! If you love the peace and quiet of a small Finnish island: this is the place to stay overnight. Thank...

The Turku archipelago is a beautiful place to bike. We have stayed at The Vastergard twice in the past few years and both times have found it hard to leave. It is in a beautiful rural spot, Tom and his wife are wonderful hosts and owners, and the rooms are a delight with special touches like a starlit bathroom ceiling....

Lovely B&B, excellent service, notalgic rooms and a very hospitable host Tom. We had our own boat with us and Tom helped us to pull it up from the sea. Also a quiet cycling route to the centre of Nauvo. The common sauna of the village was not in use so we could'nt swim in the sea - only minus...
