Nice big very clean room, great position just a two minute walk from the centre of Santa Clara, and one minute from the “boulevard” walking street. Note this place is like a small hotel, with several rooms available. Very clean and very well presented. The owner, Luis, is a true gentleman we even got a proper cup of tea bless...

I visit Santa Clara a lot for family visits and always reserve at Hostal Amalia. I've seen the Hostal go from a couple rooms to now 8 beautifully appointed rooms with air con and an ensuite bathroom with great water pressure and hot water. More importantly, throughout my stays, excellent service has remained consistent. The Hostal is on a quiet...

Hostal Amalia was such a nice place to stay in Santa Clara. The staff was so helpful and friendly and made our stay as comfortable as possible. Rooms were clean and comfortable and a great value for the price. Breakfast, for a few CUCs more was one of the better meals we had in Cuba too. Looking at the hotels...

Really friendly staff. The manager knows quiet some Dutch. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast and dinner were wonderful 😃 Which you can enjoy from the beautiful rooftop terrace 😍 We stayed here just one day. For Santa Clara you don't need much more time though.

It is amazing that some Casa Particulares can offer a service level that is comparable with the best hotels. Amalia is the living proof. Great moder rooms with all comfort including minibar and airco. It had great service. You will feel very welcome. Dinner at the roof terrace with great view on Santa Clare was excellent.

I'm flabbergasted to see photos of these pretty bedrooms at Hostal Amalia - we were put in a room that felt like a prison cell (and so were another couple we met). There was nothing on the walls (pictures, curtains etc) just a horrid green coloured paint. The room was dark and dingy and the furniture was less than basic...

We are a family of 6 and we stayed in 5 different Casa's while we were in Cuba and Hostal Amalia was the best accommodation both in terms of quality and value. Very central, really good rooms with en suite bathrooms and air conditioning, a lovely terrace and friendly and welcoming staff. We had a great dinner which was the...

We booked this place for March 2016. The house is really in the citycenter. Clean and perfect rooms, nice roof terrace and a great breakfast have been the standard for our stay in the city. I recommend for a step in Santa Clara. The only negative point is that before leaving we asked to the owner a suggestion for a...

We stayed in February 2016. The guys at the casa were very friendly and helpful. There are 7 rooms in total with 3 being on the top floor next to the roof terrace. Our room was on the reception floor. We love the spacious walk-in storage room and bathroom. It was excellent hot water from the shower. The room was...

This is not really a hotel, but a "Casa Particular", although it is beginning to turn into one. It is situated in a narrow no through road in is a fairly old building with a roof terrace where one can sit, relax and have dinner and with views over the rooftops. This is a charming place to stay with pleasant...
