Nice and big room, a bit noisy perhaps, but very central. Big terrasse with a beautiful view over the roofs of Santa Clara. Mister Luis is always around to help. Very friendly staff, special mention for Yoandi, the cocktail specialist...! Excellent homely food served for dinner on the rooftop. A very good address altogether.

The location was great, the service amazing, the staff was the best ever, very polite and fluid in several languages. Highly recommend it. Luis the owner is available to help you in whatever your needs may be.

Very friendly and helpful staff, particularly when in need… perfectly placed for the centre of town, and easy to navigate to and from all the important sightseeing locations. Rooftop restaurant is large and relaxing if you don't want to roam too far. Rooms are well furnished and very clean/dry. Highly recommended.

This is a fine hostal in the centre of Santa Clara with a nice roof terrace for breakfast/ dinner but spolit by the hassle over parking. It is in a narrow street and the Hostal is clearly in collusion with the guys over the round who look after (??!!) your car for an exhorbitant rate. The guy even chased us...

Nice big very clean room, great position just a two minute walk from the centre of Santa Clara, and one minute from the “boulevard” walking street. Note this place is like a small hotel, with several rooms available. Very clean and very well presented. The owner, Luis, is a true gentleman we even got a proper cup of tea bless...

I visit Santa Clara a lot for family visits and always reserve at Hostal Amalia. I've seen the Hostal go from a couple rooms to now 8 beautifully appointed rooms with air con and an ensuite bathroom with great water pressure and hot water. More importantly, throughout my stays, excellent service has remained consistent. The Hostal is on a quiet...

Hostal Amalia was such a nice place to stay in Santa Clara. The staff was so helpful and friendly and made our stay as comfortable as possible. Rooms were clean and comfortable and a great value for the price. Breakfast, for a few CUCs more was one of the better meals we had in Cuba too. Looking at the hotels...

Really friendly staff. The manager knows quiet some Dutch. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast and dinner were wonderful 😃 Which you can enjoy from the beautiful rooftop terrace 😍 We stayed here just one day. For Santa Clara you don't need much more time though.

It is amazing that some Casa Particulares can offer a service level that is comparable with the best hotels. Amalia is the living proof. Great moder rooms with all comfort including minibar and airco. It had great service. You will feel very welcome. Dinner at the roof terrace with great view on Santa Clare was excellent.

I'm flabbergasted to see photos of these pretty bedrooms at Hostal Amalia - we were put in a room that felt like a prison cell (and so were another couple we met). There was nothing on the walls (pictures, curtains etc) just a horrid green coloured paint. The room was dark and dingy and the furniture was less than basic...
