Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sarah was a fantastic host, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. As cyclists we were very well looked after - secure bike storage, bananas, lovely porridge and helping us wash our kit was going above and beyond. Bodiwan is a lovely place, handy for the town but just enough out of the centre to be peaceful with great views. Our room was light and spacious. The owners are very mindful of COVID and doing all the right things without it being overbearing. We'll definitely be back.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate his birthday. We booked the Mimosa cottage which is gorgeous, with its lovely log fire (very welcome after a hard day climbing Snowdon!), jacuzzi bath and, if you’re brave enough, a hot tub outside. Sarah and Mark were fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be visiting again - thank you Sarah and Mark for making our weekend special.

From the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome it felt like home ! After a hard afternoon of rafting being frezzing cold we were so glad to arrive there and we did feel truly welcome from Sarah truly amazing host.id asked if she could possibly put up a few banners and ballons in our room for my boyfriend and she had done absolutely lovely touch! We also had a very early start on the Sunday as we were visiting the slate mines an hour away so had to be up and out by half past 8 in the booklet it had said that breakfast only started at 8am but Sarah and her husband got up early and made our breakfasts for us which was absolutely amazing also ! Thank you for making our stay truly memorable for all the right reasons will definatley be returning.

Me and my husband had a lovely one night stay here while we were visiting Snowdonia. It was a lovely comfortable room and the owners where very friendly and helpful. They recommend restaurants and walks in the area which helped us out a lot. The breakfast which was included was also lovely and there was plenty of food to fill us up ready for a long walk. I would deffintly stay here again!

This beautiful little B&B is a 5 minute walk from the centre of Bala and the perfect place for a quiet weekend in the countryside. We were made very welcome here and stayed in an annex room out the back with a private bathroom, log fire and separate bedroom. The breakfast each morning was deliscuous and the perfect way to start the day before a long walk in Snowdonia National Park. The hosts were also excellent and were kind enough to donate large quantities of their homemade Welsh cakes to us before we left because we kept having to ask for more. This place should definitely be on your list of acomodation considerations if visiting the area, and would certainly make your trip one to remember.

The b&b was lovely and welcoming, the room itself had everything you needed with little extras like muscle soak and a beautiful bath, was spacious and felt very private. Mark the host was a fountain of knowledge about the surrounding area suggesting lots of places to visit and see. You ordered breakfast the evening before and got exactly what you asked for which is great for me as I am fussy. We both really enjoyed our visit and given the opportunity would go again.

We stayed here for 2 nights not sure what to expect as we haven’t been to this area before. What a gem...... a lovely welcome from the friendly owners, a lovely B&B in a lovely setting. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm. The breakfast was everything you would expect. All in all a very relaxing stay, just what was needed, we will definitely return here. Would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely place to stay, very nice owners would recommend to anybody and stay ourselves again. Located walking distance from a nice little town with plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from. We stayed in the Bodiwan room which was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful roll top bath. Breakfast was locally sourced and great selection.

A perfectly adequate B & B with welcoming hosts, comfortable beds and a well prepared breakfast. We'd happily stay here again if we were in the area. Recommend. A good sized bathroom. It's a listed building creating a calm, distinctive atmosphere.
