We arrived at the site late on the Saturday afternoon after visiting the local waterfalls. The staff were very helpful and advised us on the pitches available. There are plenty of electric hook ups, toilets and showers and a small shop on site which is located about 3 miles from Bala. The camp site is large and I would expect it...

At first the place seemed great large areas to camp on so quite a distance away from everyone else on the campsite. There was 13 of us all paying customers no avoiding paying. We thought for the first day to spend it at the lake as it was a nice day. So we set up all our chairs by the...

I have never felt so insulted at a place I have visited in all of my life. It's funny that most of these reviews are about the 'lady' that runs the site, but our problems were with a man. A group of 12 friends and I (aged 20-24) had stayed at this site for 3 nights, although I had arrived...

I have never been to a worse campsite in my life. I arrived with a group of friends and was treated like a hooligan! I was even asked by the owner if I spoke English after he asked us to move to a dirty space of water so that we would not disturb other campers. Not only did he spend...

We spent 3 nights here by the lake, the site itself was really beautiful, having the view of the lake when you get out of your tent in the morning and with good facilities. Before arriving we had spoken with the site staff who confirmed that they were happy for our group of 13 to camp at their site. They...

We camped for 3 nights, the location is beautiful. We had so much fun playing on the lake/river which offered lots of shallow places for paddling and fun and games in the field playing badminton and flying kites. A fantastic opportunity to bond as a family with good old fashioned camping! No clubs, bright light or arcades to empty your...

We came here for the bank holiday weekend, 6 adults, 5 kids 2 dogs in two caravans and a camper van. The site is lovely and clean, toilets and showers are fine. It's great for water activities. The only thing is that it's packed in next to each other with not a great deal of space? We were really worried...

We had two weeks at this beautiful spot, with a huge variety of weather from scorching hot to terrific windy and wet days. The view across the lake is just awesome, and we were treated to regular air displays as RAF jets train using the valley once or twice a day! The owner, Meg, has been running the site for...

We camped for 4 nights - had choice of pitches and chose perimeter riverside. Would have been perfect but for noisy neighbours! Reported to reception on first night and no probs second night. Unfortunately for us the other side had very loud TV and decided to have a domestic on our last night which went on till 3am! That's not...

Midweek to midweek booking so had a choice of pitches. Got busy at weekend. Lots of canoes about, and a few windsurfers. Some tarmac roads and some hardcore roads so lots of kids on bikes and scooters. Very clean toilets and laundry room - a credit to owners & management. Will visit again and bring inflatable canoe next timer. Saw...
