From checking in to leaving i found every thing was pretty good. When booking i requested a mini fridge in the room, got one. My friend in another room did not have one. but he did not request it like me.
Room very large with the biggest bed I've ever seen., although it was 2 good sized singles pushed together. Not really a problem for me. Even opened the window when i asked.
2 days in i rang the hotel to asked something that would not really allowed but they said due to current circumstances they could do what i asked GREAT.
** i was also very impressed why i noticed the furniture etc being sanitised daily / Room door sealed as well when arrived **
Now the Downside -
Hotel i located at gateway motorway services, so you can really walk anywhere to explore as you will need a car. ( the hotel Bar was well stocked though and at reasonable prices)
PUBLIC not cleaning up after themselves even though there were bins either side of the table they eat at WHY!!!!
NO vending machines ;-( but they did sell chocolate etc and sanitizer

The service from staff is good and the hotel is clean but it could do will a re vamp. WiFi not very good could do with more plug sockets in the rooms. The rooms need irons and ironing boards which would make life more easier when spending a week at a time in the hotel.
Other than that I would like to thank the staff for the great service they are providing

Spent one night at the Ramada in general it was a good stay, nice sized room and lovely comfortable bed. Just a few gripes though, was disappointed to get to the restaurant after reviewing the menu in my room that tempted my palette to find the selection was an abridged version so wasn’t able to select what could have taken my fancy. The food was ok to taste and would eat there again just should put in the room visitor book that the menu is reduced depending on date.
The decor of the room needed a spruce up with a fresh lick of paint as there were scratch marks on a number of walls. The bathroom was also a little tired with obvious leak somewhere from under the bath and evidence of rusting too. Also my room overlooked the train line and some improved sound proofing wouldn’t have gone amiss
Other than that I would frequent the hotel again if needing to stay somewhere near to London

Issues with the hotel.

We arrived before 5pm on the 27th July, 2021, paid the full amount (137 gbp), and went to our room (230).

The door was sealed with a sticker saying the room was sanitised.

We then proceeded to unpack and looked around.

The room was very stuffy and unaired.

We called reception to send somebody to have the window open.

Reception said they would do so and a person came promptly.

After he left I tried to have a quick nap because the drive from Manchester (200 miles) had exhausted me.

Sadly, any nap was impossible due to the horrendous noise from the railway track and road outside our window.

The very frequent high speed commuter trains run from very early morning until mid-evening and the noise was seriously loud from the room.

Even with the window shut, we thought the noise from the trains in particular would have made it impossible for either my partner, Mr Levy and I to get any rest and therefore the room would not serve our purpose at all.

Mr Levy has health issues which means he requires peace and quiet, fresh air and to avoid stress.

The handle to the window was broken, rusted and the net curtains were dirty, had stains and marks on them.

The bathroom door was filthy with grease and marks and the bathroom was in a very poor state, overall.

The sink taps were very loose, wobbled to the touch and appeared to be broken.

The bath controls were in a similar state, also grubby, greasy and loose to the touch.

My attempts to run a bath were fruitless.

The water would not get hot and I had to ask the reception to bring somebody to repair this.

The same person arrived and struggled to get hot water from the controls.

I told him I was disgusted with the room and wanted another room as will did not wish to stay in 230, at all.

He said there was nothing available until the next day.

The final straws were the black mould in the bathroom, stained bathroom ceiling tiles and the shower/bath dispenser was broken and rusted.

We also noted that despite the hotel assuring us the rooms provide bathroom soaps and shower gels, the only soaps in our room for both sink and shower was a hand soap in identical dispensers.

We realised that this room was not suitable and unfit for service and therefore had to move to an accommodation fit for purpose.

Sadly, after many attempts, we could not find any accommodation for that evening and for the subsequent days in London.

My family are not in a position to give us lodging and we had to regrettably demand our money back and return home that evening.

We arrived back in Manchester many hours later, exhausted and extremely bitter we were sold a room that should not have been offered.

The family occasions are in ruins, my time off work cannot be redeemed and we blame The Ramada, Edgware for it.

This is the second time I have stayed here whilst visiting Bushey on business, and I have not been disappointed. I was wary of the noise being right next to the motorway, but it couldn't have been quieter - the only traffic sound was the occasional train going past! The choice of food in the restaurant is good, and reasonably priced, and the staff are friendly. The room was very clean and the free wifi appreciated - unlike the nearby Travelodge where you only get 30 mins free!

Lets talk about the hotel first:
Dirty and smely Bedding reported 8 times to change the Bedding between 8:30am till 11pm at night, irresponsible Staff, extremely careless staff. Also Staff allocated same room to another customer whom then walked into our room while my daughter and wife were changing. What did Staff do nothing. Both problem left unsolved until I got really upset and decided to report it to manager on duty but unfortunately there were no one available. They told me they are busy but I reported the problem 8:30am which did not get resolved till 11pm. One of the staff went into the room with someone and did not return for over an hour I don't have to tell you what it means when the men carried the Bedding while staff person called Martha was walking down towards reception looking untidy. Room was cleaned even when I personally requested to clean and at reception. No towels replaced, bin left full throughout the stay.

Places to eat: Avoid eating at Hotel

Visit Wembly and or Harrow which is under 30m in journey for great eat out and lively evening out. So much to see and explore. Both location includes Primark to those love shopping at Primark.

Love Outdoor Exercises: Well, the only thing I loved about Hotel is the quite location. There is over a mile long traffic free stretch of road via the hotel where you could run freely which leads to a nice park next to M1 which includes slide and a swing for the kids.

Visiting london is easy: There is a bus stop near via about 15min walk. nice and easy walk once again traffic free safe for kids to walk through the quite path then through the park. Catch Bus 113 to awards Hendon Central 14th Stop and Train station is about 4min walk then Take Northern Line straight to London Bridge ( Please don't get confused between London bridge and Tower Bridge The famous and worlds most photographed place is actually called Tower bridge and not London bridge which a very boring bridge to walk over.

Place to VISIT: You can walk, Take Bus and or Train:
London Eye, Harrods, Big Ben, Buckingham palace, Cruse ship, Millennium Bridge (Wobbly Bridge), Natural History Museum (Must book free Entry ticket online to avoid disappointment), Beautiful Thames Beach.

Buy: One day Travelcard Zone 1-6 for a family its cheap around £34 which you can use it on Bus, Train, Tram, and of-course on all Trains.

Stuffy and hot rooms with traffic noise, noise of the lift operating and lots of sound from other guests and their rooms. Poor ventilation and cooling system meant the room was stuffy. Dated and unfinished/damaged furnishings. Breakfast was an additional £10 per head for a fry up - shocking value. Location is shocking, wasn’t clear that it was in a service station when booking. Had to get a taxi to even get anywhere worth going.

Have just returned from a week stay at the Ramada Hotel.

Kate at the reception was so friendly and showed genuine interest regarding the situation as my airline had lost my luggage on arrival
Beatrice at the reception was great and phoned me once the luggage arrived

A good way to start your day is breakfast , if not included is £8 per person and is a buffet
Cereals , pastries toast and juices
Hot items , tea and coffee

I went for dinner twice during my stay , Avani at the restaurant was helpful and always interacted , it shows she really loves her job .
On the both occasions unfortunately not all of the items on the menu were available ,food was good tasty and nice filling portions
There is a bar in the hotel where you can stop for a pre dinner drink

In a 5 min walking distance there is a Burger king , waitrose supermarket and Starbucks outlet

Travelling around London is only 20 mins walking distance by bus from the fairway stage H which will take you to edgeware Station and from there to all the underground stations with your oyster card , the hotel provides taxi service

I stayed in an executive double room , the rooms are in need of some renovation especially the fitted carpets and the bathrooms
Ample toiletries ,and tea coffee are provided
Housekeeping service is provided upon request and you have to book with reception before 11.00am
The beds are very comfortable and cosy , central heating in the room worked perfectly

Finally I would like to do a suggestion to the management to allocate staff in the restaurant and bar better , having a barman in the bar and helping out at the restaurant at the same time doesn't work in the evening as people wait to order as sometimes un attended

And in the restaurant if your staff are given allocation of the tasks it would work better as every one doing everything they were struggling

Since public transport is 20 mins away , if you introduce a happy hour at the bar in the evening , this would attract more guests to stay and dine in the hotel rather than going outside .

Overall a pleasant stay
Thank you Ramada Hotel 🏨
