Hostal El Anon had been recommended by friends. We arrived not quite knowing what to expect from a Hostal (one star hotel). From the exterior it does look "anonymous" but upon entering you find yourself in a cool, leafy courtyard. The hostal was really quirky, having expanded from its original property into adjoining houses resulting in a number of short...

The three of us (my wife and 12 year old daughter) stayed at their room '40 Doble'. It was actually three bedrooms and a large bathroom, with wooden beams throughout and lots of character. The whole building is really interesting, full of character and history. The restaurant was an added bonus. Excellent service - our waiter was particularly helpful with...

We all felt as if we had arrived in old Spain even though we had been traveling for 5 days when we arrived here and had stayed in a 5 star hotel in Sevilla. If you are looking for a Hampton Inn, this is not for you. But if you are looking to spend the night in a charming hotel...

We booked 2 rooms for one night, When we got to the hostel there had been a mix up with booking.com and only one room had been booked. There was no problem with the hostal they quickly prepared another room. We had an apartment spread over 2 floors it was lovely. The hostal is like a maze and is much...

This hotel was recommended by a friend. I asked for a quiet room for my short stay in Jimena, and I was pleased to have a clean, quiet room that looked onto a small courtyard. Pleasant and helpful staff, the hotel meets the level of quality reflected in the reviews I read before staying there and the recommendation from my...

The hostal is a mix of 4 or 5 properties, on different levels with rooms, bar, restaurant, rooftop swimming pool and shaded sitting areas. We stayed for two nights during our tour of Andalucia. Our room was Appartemento (#6) and was an ensuite bedroom with a lower living room with kitchen area and tables etc., which we did not use,...

Beautiful and amazing. Once you enter the place, you feel like in a fairy tale. Rooms, bar and restaurant are all separate but linked together. Beautiful patios, balconies and shared spaces full of plants and magic make you feel really special. Friendly staff and a pool are just another advantage of this place. It is also beautifully situated in a...
