Nice location by the canal with plenty of free parking. Staff are friendly and excellent customer service.
We was provided with a fan due to the hot weather for both rooms due to hotel having no air conditioning in the bedrooms.

We had to stay in the area to visit a vulnerable relative and initially the booking would only except a single booking rather than a booking for my wife and myself.
A quick phone all to the hotel and as we are from the same family the issue was quickly sorted. On arrival there is form that needs to be filled out but this is not a major issue.
The room itself was fairly basic but very clean and were plenty of towels etc. There is free parking on site so the hotel ticks all the boxes for a short stay.
We cannot comment on the bar area as it was closed off to the public due to Covid. This means the breakfast ìs a grab and go - however it is excellent. Today (3/5/21 although the booking only had one breakfast listed the receptionist sorted out an extra bacon roll and croissant. With the rest of the pack containing coral, yogurt, fruit and a hot drink as well as orange juice it is excellent compared to the usual grab & go at other hotels.
First class.

Convenient location a short 5min walk from the train and bus stations (traffic lights permitting). On the canal so no exterior noise disturbance.
Hot and cold buffet breakfast offered but I didn't try it. Bar menu in the evening very limited although seemed reasonable value.
Staff very friendly and welcoming and happy to store luggage after check out. Check in was smooth.
Rooms not flashy but good value; wardrobe and hangers, area to put suitcase, drawers, desk, separate chair and small table.
Bathroom was a good size with decent shower, toiletries (in large refillable containers) and hairdryer in main room.
My door seemed a bit stiff so took a bit of effort to fully close & perhaps others were the same as when in the room you could clearly hear the doors when others were coming & going and sound carried easily into rooms when people were speaking in the corridors.
Also surprised there was no waste bin in the main room, only a small one in the bathroom but this was minor.
Overall a decent convenient option but not recommended for lighter sleepers.

This is an older style Ibis Hotel located close to Shipley Town Centre. Parking is free, but you will have to register your car on check in using the touchpad.
Rooms are basic and a little bit dated, the new Ibis rooms have yet to arrive at this hotel but they are large and the bed is comfortable. Windows open too which is very important in these current times there is plenty of ventilation within the rooms themselves.
Staff are friendly and adhere to Covid protocols wearing face coverings although they could ventilate communal areas like the staircase a little better as they do in say a Travelodge by opening some of the windows.
The biggest bug bear here are a number of guests who appear to have no respect for others by choosing not to wear a face covering whilst walking through corridors and on staircases. Vaccinated or not this virus hasn't disappeared and people really should take care because it will hang and spread in poorly ventilated areas.
I would wager those choosing not to wear a face covering out of respect for others also don't respect their fellow guests too by slamming their bedroom doors upon entry and arrival too.

Rang the hotel to let them know we were arriving late which was fine but it was a cold December night and the room was not heated on our arrival. It was at the bottom end of the ground floor corridor and cold. There was a wall heater which was not a straightforward switch for on/off so took some working out how it actually worked. We had to sit in our coats until the room warmed up.
The room and ensuite were very tired looking. The curtains had no extra material in them, they just stretched to cover the window. The duvet was lacking weight and the extra pillows we had asked for when we booked online were not provided.
Also at the end of the corridor is the door to the fire escape and this kept waking us as it does not have a soft close so banged every time it was used which was quite regularly through the night.
We have stayed at this hotel in the past but this was probably our last. It may be cheap to stay there but you get what you pay for and it seems to cater more for workmen now.
We chose not to take the breakfast so cannot comment on that.
On checking out we were asked if everything was ok so we mentioned the door and got a ‘sorry’ response. We also completed the follow up questionnaire mentioning the points raised above and their response was in short ‘ thanks for your comments and hope you enjoy your next stay more’ .

Having stayed and reviewed the Ibis Shipley early this year I was astonished to find that on this trip the decline to a now below standard Ibis Hotel with tired rooms and customer service that was lacking the friendly and efficiency that I have come to expect at Accor Hotels.

The location is good, the hotel has a great car park, Shipley railway station is a short walk away as are the shops, restaurants, and pubs in the town centre (including an excellent Wetherspoons Pub).

The rooms are dated in terms of décor and amenities, the television was poor and the Wi-Fi intermittent in terms of speed. No bedside power was an issue for me and the duvet plus pillows were appalling needing urgent replacement in my view. The bathroom had shower lacking power and the towels were not fluffy more like sandpaper.

Internal noise was an issue for me with loud slamming doors and thin internal walls waking me throughout the night of my stay.

Could be so much better with little effort and better management.

I have just returned from staying here, for three nights, at the end of November into December with friends, to visit Saltaire, Salts Mill and to visit Leeds. The Ibis is in a very good position allowing a delightful short walk along the canal, from straight outside the hotel, to Saltaire. About 15 minutes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room basic, comfortable and warm. I shared with a friend with twin beds and it worked well. The beds very comfortable and the shower room/ toilet good to use. Nothing fancy but absolutely fine. The shower efficient and easy to use. They just supplied a bath towel each and I would have liked a hand towel. They happily supplied another bath towel but I appreciate they are trying to be environmentally thoughtful. Only one chair in the room. Tea and coffee supplied and biscuits.
A great break made even better by staying at the Ibis. You will have to research local restaurants although you can eat at the hotel. A good local Costa is near by for coffee. The Hungry Horse next door is cheap but the food just about adequate if you are desperate and hungry in our view.
Thank you to the staff who made it a very pleasant stay.

The place is totally filthy no covid safety at all. I appreciate it was cheap and we stayed before a flight may be put your prices up and do a refurb on the rooms. Environmental health need to take look in room 119. Who ever the cleaners are they need some major training on what clean is.

I booked this hotel for 2 nights through the Accor members site. It said I would get a refund if I needed to cancel. Unfortunately I had to cancel but gave loads of notice well within their offer and terms and conditions. No refund was forthcoming so I had to ring the hotel. I was told by the person who answered as I'd booked online I was not entitled to a refund. I explained the offer. The lady went and spoke with her manager. I was then told they did not receive my cancellation because I cancelled online, but I had booked online so why on earth would I not cancel online. I had proof of cancellation via email from 5 days pervious. She then said the manager would refund. I really felt like they were trying to con me. It is totally unacceptable to have to fight for your refund innthis way. If there is internal processes that are not working properly then sort them don't just tell customers they are not entitled to a refund without investigation when clearly they are.

Firstly I must say Ibis you have had months of lockdown to sort your smelly, grubby, worn out and unsightly rooms out.

You should be ashamed of yourselves.

This hotel is in a fantastic location it is a shame that there rooms on not up to standard. I have stayed in many Ibis hotels and this has got to be our worst.

The carpet was so filthy you wouldn’t dare walk on it barefooted. Oh my god seriously the carpet was proper vile.

We had a family room with a sofa bed, which was full of stains and god knows what they were. It was all out of shape too, I would not let a dog sleep on it.

The bathroom stunk of stale urine to borking point actually, the mirror in the room had stains all over it. Even after we disinfected ourselves because the whole place felt like a germ pit, it still stunk of urine.

The door chain was missing on the room door.

This place in my opinion is a sheer Covid hot spot.

I wouldn’t stay here again. !

Hi there, Their website states that cribs are provided upon request. However, I would advise you to ring the hotel directly to confirm this. The reception team has always been so helpful both on the telephone and in person. Best wishes

To be honest I can not remember seeing one, as the set up is very similar to a premier inn which also do not have irons.
