We spent three memorable August nights at the Chateau D'Aubriere and it was one of the highlights of our European vacation. This chateau/hotel is beautifully set in a private hilltop woodland and is lovingly furnished in period furniture and decorations. The owner Violaine is a marvelous hostess who treats you like a personal guest. She is also a superb cook... More

Me and my girlfriend had the opportunity to stay at Chateau de l'Aubriere in the beginning of August 2016. We've got a great, personal welcoming which directly made us book one additional night. Besides great service, the rooms and surroundings are beautiful. The surprise dinner was amazing, with a chef with great knowledge about both the food and the wine.... More

Me and my husband spent 3 nights with my husband at the Chateu D'Aubriere and we had the most wonderful and relaxing time. The castle is so extremely well maintained, it is elegant and charming. Our hostess, the Countess has a bright sparkling personality and knows perfectly how to welcome you and make you feel at home. She even helped... More

Set in extensive grounds, the chateau is a reminder of an earlier era. The faded grandeur of the furnishings and the warmth of the welcome from the Comptess were delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is a beautiful châteaux situated in the Loire Valley set in beautiful countryside. The interior is a looking tired but that's part of its charm. The lady that runs the Chateau is a little eccentric but great fun. I did wonder whether she'd watched too many episodes of Fawlty Towers! There is a restaurant but as we were so... More

My wife discovered this lovely Chateau whilst we were looking for somewhere to stay during my daughter's wedding celebrations, which were taking place at nearby Neuille Pont Pierre. What a fabulous place! It is an elegant, but relaxed Chateau, with lots of original features, and a beautiful tame peacock! The heated outdoor pool sits in a pretty rose garden and... More

Had a nice stay here in the big family room. Beautiful building and grounds, nice pool and breakfast. The go carts were a great success with my boys. I suggest skipping the surprise dinner and taxi into town to explore Tours a little.

A lovely old chateau in extensive grounds. A very warm welcome from Madame de Lussac, the owner, Steep climb to the top floor with baggage as there is no lift but the room and bed were fine. Breakfast excellent. Evening meal OK but not outstanding. The fabric of the building needs an upgrade but this would risk losing its "shabby-chic" charm.... More

We had sent my parents to the Château de l'Aubrière for a couple of days, in celebration of my father's 80th birthday. The owner's graceful attentions, testament to her dedication to her patrons' comfort and pleasure, were matched by the beauty of the place - a splendid traditional castle set in a vast, lush domain. My father's smile said it... More
