We were walking the Via Francigena - the whole way from England to Rome so we didn't have a vehicle. Our room was large with a good sized, private balcony overlooking the courtyard. It was in a quiet residential area and a couple of kilometres from the main part of the town. We had to walk into the town for... More

Third hotel on the Via Francigena walk. Hotel room was basic, WiFi was available but the TV was old and didn't work. Our walking holiday package included the option to pay 10 euros to the hotel for a transfer to make the next part of the hike 10km shorter, however the receptionist was unaware of this and tried to arrange... Walked the Via Francigena for 3 weeks in June/July 2016...this was the dirtiest place we stayed by far. The floors were black with filth and the fleas had a field day on us. The meal (which was included in our half board, which did not get served until 8.30, though we had explained we needed to start by 5 in... More

The room, bathroom, shower was fine. Currently the reception and cafe area ate undergoing renovation. Close to town centre. Wifi, breakfeast, easy to find and probably quite a pleasent place to stay after a long days walk.

Stayed here in April 2015. Would actually give it 3.5 stars if the system would allow it, primarily because of the manager, Lucca. His welcome was genuine and appreciated. We were pilgrims on the Via Francigena, tired after a day of walking, so we sat in the very nice courtyard after making ourselves a cocktail. While we sat there relaxing,... More

This was stay two of six hotels and the owner was really friendly and helpfull. My room was huge and even had a veranda. Breakfast was not brillant but was the average continental fare. They owned a restaurant a little distance away and the food and atmosphere were faboulous

The Albergo da Benedetta is in a quiet location at the Viterbo end of the town, and it is really well signposted from the Via Francigena. When we arrived there was nobody at home, but the doorbell rings through to the owners and within minutes Luca arrived on his motorbike to let us in and give us a nice cold... More

Vetralla is a town on the Via Francigena, one of the three great pilgrimage routes in the world. I was weary as I emerged into the town from my walk from Viterbo....and to my delight there was the sign to say B & B Benedetta was just around the corner. I arrived without any problem as the signage is good...probably... More

This is a lovely friendly small hotel. It is spotlessly clean and the staff could not be more helpful. They serve a great breakfast, one of the best we had in Italy. The owners also own a very good bistro in the center of town and they will direct you to you accommodation if you have any difficulties in finding... More
