Fancy a camping-style holiday on Islay but want a little luxury? Islay Pods are now available to book online, for a true glamping experience, with prices starting at just £70 per night! These high quality, well equipped glamping pods offer a luxurious approach to the traditional camping experience without losing the freedom and tranquillity of that "back to nature" experience. Because the pods are heated, they offer warm and cosy accommodation - "camping all year round"! We have two pods, the Lagavulin Pod and the Ardbeg Pod sleeping up to 4 and 6 people. The Pods are set in Lagavulin Bay on the beautiful Isle of Islay, an area of outstanding natural beauty where golden eagles and otters are frequent visitors and situated right next door to the famous whiskey distilleries of Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.

As big whiskey fans we were excited to find a quirky and affordable accommodation option on the Lagavulin Distillery’s doorstep! The view from the Solum Pod was stunning and as soon as we arrived we saw a heron catching a fish for dinner! We found it difficult to get taxis on

The storm pods are tucked away just a couple of miles from Port Ellen. Beautiful location - a natural bay which should offer some protection from stormy weather however, the weather was absolutely superb during our visit in July. The pods are very comfortable/ cosy & clean. Only

Nice, relaxing views etc. Quiet spot. Walking distance to some interesting places. But price is very high for basic accommodation and for that reason I would not return. Owner is helpful and friendly, great business idea he’s had , good for him!

Staying one night in this unique accommodation that lets you be neighbors with Lagavulin was worth the experience. Exciting view with a cosy, "hobbity" feel to the place. However, uncomfortable with cold showers, a futon that collapsed with any real weight on it (I do mean it

Thank you for your review as always we take people’s feed back seriously Regarding the sofa bed we were not aware of any issues with this and we do leave a number on the folder if anybody has any problems to let us know we are more than willing to sort any problems. With regards to the shower I have tried it today and there are no issues with it it’s definatly not cold. And as I said above if you had contacted us we would have popped down and showed you how to use it. With regards to the towels the £5 is just to cover washing the towels as most people bring there own I would say about 5% of visitors request towels. I am sorry you felt maybe let down a bit, I hope you still enjoyed your visit to islay. Gus

The pod was clean and as advertised. The views are amazing! While the kitchen has kitchenware, there’s no cooking appliances other than a microwave so be aware of that when buying groceries! The BBQ worked well but bring charcoal, lighter fluid, etc. Very close to several

The Pod!
Our dog very much enjoyed the space and freedom these pods provided.
Hello, sorry for late reply but here goes: The showers are normal and more than adequate! I love a good shower and these ones didn't disappoint. BBQ: For context I have a Weber Smokey Joe which is a great piece of kit. The ones available are possibly 2/3 smaller than the Weber I used but do the job just fine and can also be used as a mini fire pit if it is a bit chilly in the evening. There is also a microwave in your pod! Hope this helps.

"All three pods are privately located"
"If there are 4 of you book Ardbeg. If you want to use the Barbeque then buy meat from the local butchers - sirloin was delicious!"
