My partner and I stayed at this hotel in October 2020 using a voucher. We can not fault our stay in the hotel at all. The room was clean and tidy, as was the rest of the hotel. They gave us clear instructions about their COVID 19 procedures. The staff were fantastic, probably the best I have ever had in a stay in the UK. A stand out point was when a member of staff offered to ask the chef to 'whip' us something up for breakfast, even though breakfast serving time had finished over an hour beforehand. The village/town it is in, Rothbury, again is beautiful. Lovely riverside walk and friendly public in the town. Honestly couldn't recommend this hotel anymore! Thank you to all the staff!

Didn’t stay at the hotel, but visited Rothbury and went for a Sunday lunch at the restaurant and it was absolutely divine! The man serving us was so lovely and welcoming and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back

My partner and I stayed here on a trip to Northumberland whilst visiting two nearby National Trust properties. A gem of a find. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and fantastic food. (Sad For them that we were the only people in the restaurant). Perfect location for a visit to Cragside.

What a warm welcome we had from Alison. A beautiful building, lovely and warm, with nice big bedrooms, great size TV, and such tasty food. We had an evening meal on Thursday (the lamb meal was especially delicious) and on the Friday we had an afternoon tea, one sweet and one savoury. So many tasty treats. Cheese scones - mmmmm. Couldn't manage it all, so we brought the rest home and finished it last night. Our little dog was made so welcome too. Thanks very much to Alison, Steve, Levi and the chef.
