As experienced by others, this is an old and fairly dated hotel with some upgrades needed. You need to be careful that things do not fall off the wall! The plumbing is also interesting as the shower we had varied between Baltic and boiling all in the same few minutes. Having said that, the place was clean, warm and comfortable...

Booked 2 nights in a superior room, room 1. We were both very pleased with the room and the dinner was superb. What let the hotel down was the noise transmission from the upstairs room. We were woken at 11.00pm by the TV, talking, music and them going to the toilet, all normal activities but should not be heard! Eventually...

Stayed at this hotel with my wife for a couple of nights for a short break to relax. We booked a Thursday and Friday night and only paid £55 a night B&B so we were not expecting too much. There are a few good points but unfortunately, too many not so good points. Check in was fine and first impressions...

As a disabled person access was very difficult to & from my room. As I had 2-3 flights of stairs to climb. There was no ramp for my wheelchair. The bed was comfortable, towels fresh every day. No handrails in bathroom. Bath was lovely, but water jets came away from bottom of bath. Glass door in hotel was heavy to...

The staff were very helpful - nothing too much trouble. Rooms comfortable and warm, nice towels, lots of hot water at good pressure and dog friendly. The best bit is the restaurant - the food is exceptional. We ate in all 3 nights we stayed - the menu is imaginative but not fussy, the food was beautifully presented, delicious and...

Myself and my husband have just spent a weekend in this hotel and definitely left with a view to returning. We stayed in one of the loft rooms which although didn't have much of a view was still a lovely spacious room complete with TV, mini fridge, tea, coffee and biscuits, desk and 2 comfy chairs. The en suite was...

I emailed the hotel before I wrote this review, they didn't reply. This Hotel looks very nice, scratch under the surface though and its mediocre at best. No toiletries in the room. No spare pillows. No biscuits, yes you read that NO BISCUITS. Bed uncomfortable. Staff not friendly. Pizza was burnt, pasta was uncooked. Breakfast was okish, not a buffet...
