The B&B is in a stunning location and in the heart of Connemara so it's perfect for day excursions or for visiting Kylemore abbey and surroundings, which is one of the main attractions. Unfortunately the lady I dealt with was very unpleasant and put me off ever going back, real pity...

I loved this B&B! The house is old with classic and beautiful furnishing out of Jane Austen novel. Guests have free access to 2 big living rooms of what used to be a residence of a family at the turn of the century. I actually think this house used to belong to a famous Irish poet. You can check out... More

After the perfect day at Kylemore Abbey we settled into our lake front, second floor room. Immaculate with huge bath & shower which we also spotless. Wifi sketchy in room but accessible in common rooms. Commons rooms are huge and quaint. Feels a bit like time stood still. We were here on anniversary. Loved Ms. Nancy and her staff, and... More

The ads for this B&B state that is 1 minute from Kylemore Abbey. It's more like 10 to 15 minutes away. The room was fair but old and there was no Wi-Fi in the room. Sometimes you could connect in the sitting room, but not always. We found Nancy to be short with us and with her help. Breakfast was... More

What an amazing position overlooking the lough. We were greeted with enthusiasm by Rocky the boxer first then Nancy the owner of this charming Georgian property that has been her home for 58years. Yes it's a little tired but we really enjoyed our evening here. Nancy was happy to give us her time and suggestions on where to eat &... More

The location of the B&B is more than good - between Killary Harbour and Connemara N.P.. Although the rooms look Charming ancient and are clean - the atmosphere is pretty cold, not as common for a B&B. No TV in room, no WiFi working although existing, shower with less water. We had to pay more than agreed by mail.

My wife and I traveled extensively in Ireland this summer (she being a Dub - me being a Virginian) and stayed at the Kylemore House for a nightover and visited Kylemore Abbey the next day. Kylemore House, Nancy and Janet were a fantastic find and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house creaked with character and had a... More

The house was originally built in 1720 and has had several updates along the way. It is filled with beautiful antique furniture and is very well kept. The only thing that might be considered a downside, is that it has an 'old house' smell to it. Not bad, but reminded me of being at my grandmother's house. I'm not complaining,... More

Well worth the stay, just to have the privlage to meet Nancy, our hostess. It felt like you were coming home everytime you came back from a day of sightseeing. Nancy and Rocky would be eagerly awaiting in the foyer to hear about your days excursions. We only stayed 2 days there and out of our 2 week vacation the... More
