Staying in a castle has always been on our bucket list. Chateau de Colombiers was a wonderful place to check that off our list. We were traveling with another couple and stayed in the Tower's Suite and the Watchman's Suite for two nights. Claire was a very gracious hostess and gave us a great tour of the castle and grounds....

Staying at the Castle while visiting the Normandy Beaches was priceless. From my teen aged son to my parents, all had a great time from playing a knight fighting with William the Conqueror to being American GIs after D-Day, all had a great time. The rooms are spacious and the views are beautiful from every direction. Worth it.

Old castle with some modern amenities, but not many....just enough to get by. But if you want to see what castles were meant to be like hundreds of years ago this is a very nice example. Beautiful grounds, quiet (except for the sound of nature's lovely birds), great hospitality, and convenient location to see the area's historical attractions. I would...

From the beautifully manicured grounds, to the ideal location near Normandy's many attractions, this was the perfect and unique spot for our family on our Eurotrip after visiting Paris. Charles and his wife could not be more lovely, going out of their way to...

Great location for driving to the nearby towns and beaches involved in the D-Day events. A beautiful 500+ year old castle that maintains it aged charm, so don't expect a modern Hilton. The grounds are scenic with colorful flowers and nonstop singing birds make it very peaceful. The host is eager to help with site seeing itineraries and opinions about...
