I rate Mi Vista Mountain Resort 5 stars, not so much for the casitas, as much as the gold treatment from owner Angel (Papo) and his wife. I traveled alone to Jarabacoa for the weekend so Angel's warmth and interest in playing tour guide was welcome and appreciated. In a weekend, he very much became like a dad, conversing over...

Oh how I love thee 😍 (let me count the ways). This lil piece of heaven is nestled on lush grounds, filled with palm trees 🌴 and tropical flowers everywhere. As soon as we drove onto the property we were treated like family. The individual villas are placed in a way that you feel completely private, while still feeling like...

I have had the pleasure of staying at Mi Vista twice. The first time was for a two week solo trip. Papo and Migualy were more than hospitable. Migualy is a gracious host and very talented in the kitchen. When I tell you I went home 8 lbs heavier, I mean it! I was fed 3 beautiful meals a day,...

We stayed for two nights and Mi Vista Mountain Resort and the experience was wonderful! Our organization booked the travel - I was traveling with 12 students on a service trip and this portion was dedicated to relaxing at the end of our time in the DR. Angel, the owner, speaks English and communicated everything clearly and friendly on the...

Tucked away in the mountains of jarabacoa you feel like you discovered a secret getaway, a welcome respite from touristy adventure hubs nearby. The owner Papo is an enthusiastic host and advisor. His wife cooks breakfast each morning and dinner upon request many of the ingredients grown on the property. The locals all know Papo and his porch can be...

Mi Vista is a great place to stay. The views are incredible. The rooms are quaint and comfortable. It is close to every where you need to go. We've stayed there many times and will continue to whenever we get the chance. A true tropical jewel. Joe and Misty, North Canton, Ohio

OK, so it's the only place I've stayed in Jarabacoa. However I had a wonderful experience!! Angel and Magally, the owners, are super nice and helpful with whatever you want. They'll make you anything you'd like to eat and take you anywhere you want to go, or organise anything you want to do for a very reasonable price! The place...

This place turned out to be the highlight of our trip to the DR. The location of this B&B is perfect. It’s at the top of a hill near town with some of the best views in all of Jarabacoa. Angel is incredibly friendly and helpful, and honestly seems to know everyone in town. Angel has some great stories about...

“This mountain retreat is hosted by Angel and his wonderful Dominican wife, Megales. It is a very inexpensive and simple retreat with little casitas that are quite large with bathrooms and hot and cold running water. It is very clean and I would recommend requesting the Villa or the casita that is closest to the main building. We were in a casita that was closer to the road so did hear some traffic noises in the night.”
