My boyfriend and me stayed for 5 days in this family hotel , the hotel is very clean , the buffet is rich , food in general is good quality ( the chef also took care of my allergy ).
The location is just outside of the city centre of Campitello , there is a bus stop for ski bus at 50 m , but is not possible to go walking to the cable car, as it is too far ..
The wellness area is quite small , sauna box has quite a few seats , but steam bath is really tiny and it’s not working well as it alternate no steam with a burning steam jet on your feet .
The personnel is polite and it has been a cozy stay .

Having chosen this hotel in a bit of a hurry and almost last-minute, we were thrilled to be welcomed to a clean, friendly, well-run family place. Everything is geared towards a fabulous skiing experience: breakfast starts early and includes a fairly good selection of proteins and carbs; a reasonably priced and well-run ski rental place was recommended to us at the reception; maps of the slopes and area guides are available in multiple languages; the rooms are warm and the common areas are spacious and pleasant; the apres-ski hour can be thoroughly enjoyed in the hotel's cafe/bar area (delicious hot chocolate!); dinners are plentiful and delicious, with a fantastic emphasis on local specialties (there was even a special local foods evening).

We chose the half-board option and are likely never going to choose differently -- it is the best way to maximize one's skiing experience while minimizing the stress of having to look for diverse meal options while tired and hungry (and you do get hungry on those excellent slopes!).

A final word about service -- it does make a difference, and is a major reason why we are already planning to go back next year. Everyone was friendly and professional, and on top of that, there was a wholesome warmth that we found precious.

Simply wonderful.

A nice, quiet and comfortable hotel for a family vacation. Well located, near the center of Campitello, but still a bit 'outside', so it means less noise. A great view of the amazing mountains. Nice atmosphere and service

AlpenHotel Panorama is a wonderful structure in a quiet and beautiful place, run by a very nice family. They are the real heart of the place, which, in the end, is their own home also. It is perfect for families and whoever seeks relaxing and joyful vacations. It has a great restaurant and comfortable rooms, most of which have been remodeled recently. The hotel has a large green bordering the nearby wood. It is situated in an off-the-road area, a dozen of minutes walk away from the center of Campitello.
The prices are not especially cheap, but overall it is worth what it costs.

Our room was very pretty with lots of wooden detail, and a lovely shower with super strong water jets. The hotel is kept nice and warm so you can strip down to a T-shirt after a day in the snow. Excellent varied breakfast with freshly baked cakes and a good selection of savoury things. The first evening supper was a bit iffy (maybe the chef has Saturday nights off!) but it only got better . Delicious meals often with real local flavour and the kitchen was happy to cater for my vegetarian needs. The lady owner was always to hand both in the reception area and the dining room if she was needed. Pleasant reception rooms on ground floor where you can have a drink or do homework with kids. Very good children's entertainer in the afternoons/evening. The hotel is a pleasant 10/15 minute walk through village or along river to the cable car to the slopes. It's a good idea to rent a spot to store skis at cable car so you don't have to carry them . The wellness area is a bit small.

We visited Alpenhotel Panorama with our 3yr old daughter and we are definitely coming back next year.
Pros:
1) Hotel seemed like it was built yesterday. Everything was clean and in perfect condition and the attention to detail was seen everywhere. Rooms are very well decorated and I am sure that at the price we got it no other place offers anything similar.
2) Chef Marco offered us everyday excellent quality food also personalized for our 3yr old daughter and I am really sorry I did not have the chance to personally thank him for that.
3) Elena and Dumy were great at serving us and taking care of us.
4) hotel's location was perfect. Just in front of the training pitch were me and our daughter had skiing lessons. 5 minutes walk from the center of town and 5 min bus ride from the Col Rodella station (I actually walked to the station since it is only 600m away)
5) The Zanoner family offered us a warm welcome and the front desk girl was great at giving us everyday tips.
6) pricing
7) the great Phil who spend time with our daughter and the other children before and after dinner time.
Cons (more like constructive comments):
1) the wellness center is great but I found it a bit small. I can imagine that when the hotel is packed it can be hard to actually use it.

Keep on the good work.

This hotel is small, but so clean, so reasonable & the staff (especially Heidi) were wonderful! The views are unbelievable! We ate dinner there, which was superb, and they also had a great buffet breakfast! They have a very relaxing spa and an area with swings where you can relax & take in the magnificent views. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. They have a small bar in this hotel. The hotel is basically located at the end of a dead end road (due to the mountains). There is a waterfall & rushing creek nearby. If you're craving the city life, then this is not your place, but if you LOVE nature, breath taking scenery, good food, good prices, and clean & comfortable rooms, then you must stay here if you are in the area!

Making good on a promise to my adult son that I would take him and his brother skiing in the Dolomites, I spent considerable time on the internet researching the area for the 6,500 mile excursion from Washington State. Looking over the many mountain towns and villages, I somehow settled on Campitello de Fassa; and from the 50 or so hotels, I booked two rooms at half board for seven nights at the Hotel Alpen Panorama. This proved to be a case of extreme good luck and fortune for me and my family.

From the moment we were greeted by the friendly staff in the reception area to the arriverdici’s exchanged as we departed, Hotel Alpen Panorama and the Zaroner Family and staff exceeded our every expectation.

The building and public areas were well maintained, artfully decorated, spacious, and extremely pleasant. There is adequate parking and the lot is kept plowed and clear. Located a brief, exhilarating, third of a mile stroll from the town center, the hotel environs are open and free from congestion.

Our adequately sized, updated rooms were immaculate, from the plank hardwood floors to the hand crafted rustic wood decorations on the walls and cornices, to the modern electrical outlets, switches, and lamps. Adequate storage was available in the armoire and adjoining drawers. A comfortable couch was provided next to a useful fold down wooden table, just right for placing water bottles, snacks, purses, keys, wallets, and cameras. The mattresses were firm and the individual down comforters provided total warmth during the winter nights. The bathrooms were spotless with up to date fixtures, showers with jet spray arrays, and with unlimited hot water immediately on demand. Each room had a large balcony with impressive views of the Col Rodella and Sassolunga formations. The free WiFi was reliable and quick.

Breakfasts were hearty with typical assortments of fresh cold cuts, cheeses, pastries, breads, cereals, fruits, juices, and coffees. But the pièce de résistance was the gourmet dining experience offered every evening at 7:15 pm. The cuisine was varied, running the gamut from Ladin specialties (smoked pork loin with sauerkraut), to Tyrolean standards (sausage with polenta), to the exotic (ravioli with artichokes mousse and curry prawns ragout). Most meals were offered with choices for the “primo e secondo piatti” as well as scrumptious deserts. On two occasions, there were special treats; one a traditional Ladin feast complete with a local masked “carnivale” troupe performing dances and pranks; and the other, a candlelit romantic five course affair. All of the dinners were prefaced with a vegetable buffet that was fresh and varied. My family and I had only kudos for the chef after each and every meal. An excellent selection of local wine varieties was available at each sitting. Service was attentive and outstanding from Mrs. Zaroner, her son, and hired staff.

As good as it was, to be fair, there are only three areas that would have made the experience marginally better:

We never acclimated to the lateness of the dinners. After a day of skiing, we were ready to eat by 5:30 PM.

There was a slightly bothersome light in the room entry way that was activated by a motion sensor and shut off by a 10 second timer. This resulted in the light coming on when you didn’t want it on, such as on a trip to the WC in the middle of the night; or the light not staying on when you wanted it on, such as when looking through a clothes drawer.

Lastly, most of the other guests were Italians who did not seem to speak English and we spoke hardly any Italian. This limited our interaction with them to polite “Buon Giornos” or “Ciaos”. This was really our shortcoming as we should have spent more time learning some basic conversational Italian before the trip.

And I can not close without mentioning that skiing in the Dolomites was “funtastico”. The scenery is majestic and unsurpassed; and the variety of terrain and hundreds of kilometers of “pistes” is overwhelming. Our luck continued with having sunshine on five out of the seven days.

When speaking with Mr. Zaroner who asked me if this was my first trip to the area, I cheerfully replied, “Si, but it will not be my last.”

Two friends and I (plus our climbing guide) made the Hotel Panorama our "base camp" while on a rock climbing trip to the Dolomites. We were there right at the end of the summer season, before the Hotel closed until it would open again for ski season. We opted for the full plan and couldn't have been more delighted. Breakfasts and dinners were excellent, as was the wine. Our waitress spoke very good English (we were only English-speaking guests in the hotel, I think) and was friendly and helpful. The rooms were fairly roomy. The location put us in close proximity to the Sella Towers, but required longer drives to get us to areas like the Cinque Torri or the Falzarego pass. Although we were there for rock climbing, we met lots of folks who were hiking, cycling, or just touring. The off-season price was extremely reasonable. The weather in the Dolomites isn't ideal in September -- it can be cool and a bit unstable -- but the difference between on and off season makes it worthwhile to go then. Just bring some extra layers and enjoy some of the most beautiful views in the world!

There is nothing I would have liked different in this hotel. Quiet location, one minute from ski bus stop, cosy decorated. New but looks traditional. The room was big enough and the bed was just enermous. Bathroom bright and functional with a good water pressure and all appliances new. Cleaned every day according to the best German standards (I know, it is in Italy). Dinner was an adventure to look forward to every evening both for the food and service. The most friendly staff I have met in my trips. So, think no more, just book it now!
