The location is amazing and Rosina serves a very tasty dinner with products of the island at 25 €.
Contractual conditions upon breakfast are not clear, as the website states: "Il pernottamento prevede la prima colazione...." but finally you pay 5 euros more for old bread, a bit of butter and one fico. Have breakfast downstairs in the village!
Staying at Rosina's place is a nice way to understand the daily life of people in the island, but if you expect confort you are in the wrong house.
400 stairs to get to destination (30 mins) make it hard to do a short trip to the bar or to the supermarket downstairs.
The rooms next to the dining room do not have windows and the door open directly to the restaurant, so it is difficult to have privacy and relax inside the room.
In conclusion, we recommend the place if you want to know the island's life.

I recently spent three woinderful days on Alicudi, my mother's birthplace, made more special by staying at Rosina's. The accommodation is simple, clean and comfortable, the atmosphere is calm and the views enthrall the spirit. Rosina is a gracious host who really just includes her guests in her daily routine. I enjoyed dinner with her and her son one evening and lunch with her and friends of hers the next day and the two of dined together and laughed as we watched a soap opera on TV together the second evening. The food is fresh, authentic Eolian and beautifully cooked. The location requires you to have a certain amount of stamina...don't take a suitcase and only the smallest backpack you can manage but it's worth it. Rosina doesn't have much English which wasn't an issue beacuse I speak Italian but she does have a phrase book which she uses to effect with non-Italian speaking guests. A truly memorable three days where I felt like a family member rather than a paying customer. More
