Pyrénées Cycling Lodge is in the beautiful medieval village of Saint Savin in the Hautes Pyrenees. We are open from April to November and provide accommodation for cyclists only (non cycling partners are welcome). We have 6 Tour de France climbs (Soulor/Aubisque, Borderes, Cambasque, Luz Ardiden, Tourmalet & Hautacam + many more) within 15 km of our guesthouse. Saint Savin is the perfect base to explore the central Pyrenees.

Our first trip to the Pyrenees was made easy by Niamh and Mark, due to their knowledge of the area and obvious enthusiasm for the area.The food for breakfast and the evening meal was delicious and wholesome, perfect for cycling. Fuel for the day ,bananas and cake was also laid out in the mornings The accommodation was very clean with everything a cyclist could want. Definitely a place to go back to.

If you are looking to have a fantastic experience biking in the Pyrenees this is the place. From the lodge you have access to the best rides, lots of bike storage, and the lodge has good relationships with the rental companies. The village of Saint-Savin has history and a great bistro for apres rides. Mark and Niamh are fantastic hosts. They do their best to ensure you have the greatest experience and the food is delicious.

Just back from our third trip to the superb Pyrenees Cycling Lodge in medieval Saint-Savin and immediately planning our fourth. From the banana porridge to the mountain views, everything is perfect for the rider eager to tick off classic Tour climbs like Tourmalet, Hautacam and Aubisque. Hosts Niamh and Mark make everything effortless. From providing delicious, nutritious food, to planning routes to booking a taxi back to Lourdes airport. The Bianchi hire bikes were waiting for us and the ancient Abbey bells were a charming alarm clock. A paradise for cyclists.

Mark and Niamh are wonderful hosts. We had the pleasure of staying at their lodge as a group of 18 friends and it was a trip of a lifetime. The location is perfect for cycling fanatics. The meals are served family style and are home cooked delicious. Mark’s morning and evening weather forecasts with Niamh’s bike route gems makes everyday a ride of a lifetime. The beds are very comfortable. We will be back.

I stayed here in Niamh and Marks’ first season. It was excellent then and it was even better this time. The food in the morning provides a great start to the day with plenty of choice. Route advice is backed up with paper or strava files plus verbal tweaks by Niamh. The rooms are clean with en suite facilities, the beds are comfortable and the house and area quiet. The evening meals are consistently freshly prepared and tasty and the chat around the table invariably interesting. Importantly the bike garage is secure and washing drying facilities easy to use. They are great hosts providing a lovely atmosphere for their constantly changing visitor groups. Can’t recommend this enough.

Everything about the Pyrenees Cycling lodge was perfect and I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in this region. We had 9 days of being totally spoilt, not having to think about food planning, shopping, route planning or even having to check the weather forecasts ourselves. Niamh and Mark set the tone from arrival with a big smiling welcome and a personal tour of the lodge. Rooms are comfy and every window has a stunning view. Cozy towels and endless hot water for sweaty cyclists. The basement has bike storage, tools, a work stand and cleaning products. There is a washing machine and drying space for clothes too which was well used. The family style table is the icing on the cake. The food was incredible and plentiful. Tales of climbs and epic descents filled the gaps between courses but there was always silence when food arrived :) Gluten Free adaptations were amazing - the cheesecake being a particular favourite. Highly recommended and we will be back!…

Brilliant spot surrounded by amazing cycling. Niamh and Mark, the owners and hosts are a fountain of knowledge on the area. The food they cook each night is spot on after a decent ride. Healthy, tasty and plenty of it. Cannot recommend this place and Niamh and Mark enough. If you're looking for a great place to stay in the Pyrenees to pick off some amazing rides, look no further.

Fantastic place to stay. Completely perfect for cyclists. Gourmet meals everyday and the hosts (Mark & Neve) were so accommodating to any requests. All meals were on a communal table so you got to meet a great mix of different nationalities- who all loved to cycle. Was definitely the best base for our planned cycling around the Pyrenees.

What a truly exceptional base for cycling in the Pyrenees. Mark and Niamh run a top class cycling lodge in all they offer with their attention to detail in everything from the breakfast, the weather forecast, the local knowledge and the outstanding evening meals. Nothing is left to chance and all you have to worry about is getting up and down the T de F Cols you choose to take on.

This is a perfect location for a cycling trip to the Pyrenees, its location means some of the great iconic climbs are within reach of any cycling level. The hosts Niamh and Mark make this a truly exceptional stay, the cyclists only have to worry about which climbs to take on. The food is exceptional morning and evening and their help with planning the days cycling makes a real difference. We are return guests and we are already planning our next return.
