Booked this place because it was within striking distance of Bastia airport. It was exactly one hours drive along the main coastal road. It's located in a very small but very busy town opposite a huge supermarket, handy for last minute presents to take home. It doesn't look that much from the outside but as you pass through the door...

August in this island can be difficult. sorry August here IS difficult. Utterly crowded, prices racked as a consequence, and areas of peace and calm in the mountains - heaving with bored day trippers looking for something to do. Some hotels which ought to be 60-70 euros, triple their prices in this month. Except here. Good sized rooms, very friendly...

We decided to stay in Algeria only by coincidence, just to eat something on the road and it was probably the best decision of the whole holiday. Absolutely great meals and nice service! Enjoy this place, it's surely worth the stop! We really recommend it.

Very happy with our stay at L'Empereur. One night when we were travelling around Corsica, I wouldn't say there's masses to do in Aleria but the room was lovely, the pool was super clean and great for a dip after a day on the road. Nice food in the restaurant too. Probably our favourite place of the whole holiday, and...

Restaurant meal delightful with excellent young staff. Air con not switched on yet but as we faced the pool, it was quiet at night with doors open. Comfortable room. Ideal location and easy to visit the Aleria relics etc.

I despair of the star rating system. This hotel is an example of why Trip Advisor is a more reliable guide. Modern, spacious rooms with big bathrooms equipped with showers, and very effective air conditioning look onto a small and very clean swimming pool equipped with comfortable loungers. Due to an air traffic control strike, we stayed here on two...

This is a practical choice for anyone wanting to explore the hillside villages and the flatter eastern coast. Our room was on the ground floor, with a small terrace outside, very plain and simple - no frills, but it was a good size. There was absolutely no view - only a greenish looking swimming pool enclosed by a fence. We...

We echo all other 4 star reviewers' comments. The outside restaurant for an al fresco evening meal *is* on the side of the main road, but ambience is still relaxed and the food good. The mussel dish was tremendous. In any case, breakfast is served at the rear restaurant by the pool, and there is also a restaurant room inside...

Family run hotel, 3rd generation and it feels they know what they are doing. Hotel was by the street but all the rooms were on swimming pool/garden side and none of them on street side. We were in room no 303 and we had balcony like all upper floor rooms, ground floor rooms had terrace. Looked like they had refurbished...

Very nice place to stay for a couple of nights. The rooms have been redecorated recently, which looks really nice. Rooms are clean and neat, sheets and towels are changed daily. Friendly staff and a nice swimmingpool. Big supermarket across the street. Great price, great quality.
