Stayed at Stonehouse Farm B&B for a night while doing the Sandstone Trail, and it was just what we needed. A very nice welcome from the owners, with a cup of tea and cake, and the room was very comfortable. We had a delicious full English Breakfast before starting the next leg of our walk, and the packed lunch was more than enough to keep us going.
I popped in for something quick to eat whilst on a walk. My takeout was served very quickly and was of excellent quality. Lovely thick bacon, perfectly done. Reasonable price also. I would definitely recommend, especially if you need a pit stop whilst walking the sandstone trail.
Stopped off for food here a few times whilst walking the wonderful Sandstone Trail. The proprietors are lovely people, always willing to have a chat. Decent food at good prices and even some biscuits and water for our two white dogs! If you’re doing anything around the Manley part of the Sandstone Trail, this is a great place for a break.
Spacious and immaculate BnB. Comfy beds, nice bathrooms, peaceful lounge, huge and delicious breakfast and evening meal. The best bit was the welcome given by Whendie and Steve, they clearly wanted to make sure we had everything we needed and more, including gluten free breakfast and chocolates by the bed. A great start to our walking holiday.
Love this place. Whendie and Steve are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Great value, Clean and comfortable with good facilities including a shared lounge and several bathrooms, Close to lovely countryside and The Goshawk pub nearby. Will stay again.
We pass this little gem when we walk on the Sandstone Trail. Normally we stop for the delicious food from the outdoor café. This time we had a two night stay and we weren't disappointed. Whendie and Steve were great and they did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The food - breakfast and evening meal - was just amazing. Large portions and as Whendie said, we didn't go hungry. I must also mention the homemade scones. Never tasted any better.
Stayed here when we were visiting Manley, Whendie and Steve were extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. The room was great, and breakfast didn’t disappoint! Would absolutely stay here again next time we’re in the area!
Had a great stay here, felt very welcomed and looked after! Breakfast and dinner were both delicious and the B&B was in a great location, just off the sandstone trail. Would definitely go back. Thank you for the lovely stay.
We had a really enjoyable 3 night stay at Stonehouse Farm. Whendie and Steve are great hosts and their house is in a beautiful spot. The breakfast is first class! Unfortunately on our first morning a pipe burst and water came through the ceiling downstairs but it didn’t dampen any spirits. Steve was on hand straight away and a plumber called. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area. We will be back again!
This is without doubt the best place to stop on the Sandstone trail. Yes it was lockdown but still able to do take away, we stopped for bacon butties. We would have loved to have stopped and sat outside but of course this is not allowed. So we look forward to returning another day. Quickly served and really good service with a smile and a couple of dog biscuits for our dog, very happy.
