The location of the hotel is great , walking distance to the beach and bars and restaurants. The rooms aren’t fantastic for the price , the first room we had needed a little tlc , and then we had to move half way through our stay due to really bad smells in the room , the room we moved to was a lot better for the price we paid .If you want to socialise and have a nice pool then it’s the place for you

The room was clean and pleasant with twin beds for my daughter and me, as requested. Breakfast was plentiful witha reasonable choice, although occasionally crowded. Pool was excellent with the pool bar providing a good place for a drink.

Only stayed here for one night in December 2017. We had a double room which was spacious and clean so no problems there. Good value for money i would say. The pool area looked nice and pretty big although i didn't get to use it as it was raining during the time i was there.

The breakfast was ok and location not bad - just a 10 minute walk to the beach and plenty of bars/restaurants nearby.

I have taken 2 stars off my review for one reason, the very cheeky/rude staff on reception. We had an evening flight from Koh Samui so wanted to extend our room to 6pm if possible. When we asked reception, they told us it would cost us 2500Baht to do so (approximately £65!!). We had only paid 1800Baht for the room in the first place so we went online and saw how much it would be to book a room for that night - it was 1800Baht.... We showed this to the reception staff and they just laughed at us, clearly amused by the fact that we had caught them trying to rip us off.

Shame the staff let down what is otherwise a good value budget-midrange hotel.

Myself and my partner stayed here for 3 nights in February. My partner was here for business as she works for a chain of mini marts. After much deliberation we decided upon this hotel based on location, price, amenities and service offered. I might add that I myself am in the hotel business and before posting this review had written to this hotel about my issues. Of course there response was just drivel and certainly not replied to by the person it was addressed too, The General Manager.

We arrived at reception where we greeted by what was the guts of 15 people who looked like they were trying to check in. (this was not the case I later discovered), after about 10 minutes waiting we were finally looked after. Check in was efficient but not friendly. We asked for a second card for our room, and we're told we couldn't have one as we must return the key to reception each time we left the hotel. (this by the way was the reason there was 15 people cued up at reception when we arrived, they were all trying to get keys for there rooms, absolutely ridiculous idea and procedure especially when there was only 1 receptionist on duty). Anyhow we were given directions to our room which were terrible, go to second floor turn left. That was it! She forgot to mention go to the end of corridor, scale 2 flights of stairs and you are there. It seems absurd to me that a hotel of this size has 2 elevators only servicing one building.

My complaints however really begin here. On your website it describes each room as having certain amenities such as minibar ( empty fridge in room is not a minibar), 24 hour room service ( a note left in the room saying "unfortunately, the race between food, no room service meals", what does that mean ? I'm Irish so my English is fairly good! But I have no idea what it means! Finally wifi! Yes it's available but at an additional cost which is ridiculous in this day and age, and certainly not mentioned upon booking I might add.

We hired a motorbike on the Saturday from the hotel. the politest I will be is by saying it went and just about. It constantly cut out and at one point we were driving down a hill and it cut out. Seriously this is a death trap. I might add that the gentlemen at the front who is in charge of the bikes needs a lesson in customer service and politeness. It's something he has no idea about. His attitude was appalling. We returned that afternoon approx 4.30pm to our room and discovered it hadn't even been cleaned. We had to ask for it to be done.

Finally a more disturbing note. We returned Saturday evening about 10.30pm from dinner. As we were entering the hotel and just about to get into the elevator a man(presumably) security shouted something at my fiancée, She is Thai I might add, when I asked her what he said she told me he wanted to know was she staying here and when she replied yes he wanted to know what room number. My fiancée was completely embarrassed as she knew what his insinuation was (that she was some kind of bar girl) , i too also knew what he was insinuating This is completely unacceptable behaviour from anyone and honestly he was lucky all i did was write to the hotel.

I concur with what a lot of people have also said about the site.....too much noise, yobs roaming the place and no one in control. The noise at night time was horrendous with people running and screaming up an down the corridor. The same for the pool, completely taken over by drunks al day long.

I wrote to the hotel about all these issues and the response i received was just a statement of excuses. Clearly 2 months later the same problems persist.

Of course I have noticed that the GM hasnt done the correct thing and taken to TripAdvisor and apologised to people for the poor service that his hotel provided. Hiding in the office i presume.

This place should be avoided like the plague. There are plenty of other hotel on Samui well worth paying money for, this however is not one of them.

We stayed here on New year eve because no choice as most of nice hotel is fully booked. The location is far from Chaweng center. Swimming pool is ok if compare from everything in this hotel. Hotel room is old facilities and dirty , towels is very bad smell and dirty exactly same with doormat. Breakfast very horrible and not value for money at all !!! Don't ask for service mind from staff because you will never have it!! They will give you tourist information only if they get the commission from their services. This hotel even 2 star they can't be!!

The place is prefect for what we wanted. Just some chill time in between travelling. Just do not leave anything out. The cleaners come in the rooms even if you put up a sign for them not too and over the course of two days. Myself and a friend in a different room had over 1000 baht stolen.

Firstly, let e preface these comments by stating the old adage "You get what you pay for"!.

The Samui Verticolor is at the cheaper end of the scale for obvious reasons. My wife and I travelled here for a 12 night stay and have found the entire experience pretty average.

We found the reception staff very rude and unhelpful, especially morning and afternoon shifts. Non managerial staff, such as cleaning, pool bar etc were definately better.

The balcony has very limited space to hang any wet clothes, towels etc. Two thin pieces of wire attached to the wall and that's it. No chairs to sit on to have a drink and chat.

It only has a small number of english speaking television channels (BBC World, Discovery, Star Sports and two movie channels). This is out of a total of 15 channels on offer. When my wife became ill and was confined to our room for two days, there were hardly any options to pass the time. Most hotels have many more channels, including the Australia Network.

You are only allocated one key card per room. If you want to do different things, you have to leave the card at reception so the other party can access the room. We asked for a second one and were met with a blunt negative response!. We have stayed in many hotels throughout Asia and have always been allocated two access cards. You can't charge your moblle phone unless you are in the room as the card acts as a electricity connector. Once the card is taken out of the bracket on the wall, you no longer have any electricity.

It is fairly close to the beach, but a solid 20 minute walk to the heart of Chaweng.

The bed is large but extremely HARD and UNCOMFORTABLE.

The bathroom is very small, but the shower is a good size.

Overall, we would definately NOT stay here again!.
