This is a charming resort in beautiful Koh Samui, right on Chaweng Beach. There are about 32 independent units in the resort. Ours was a lovely bedroom with a large and high, old style, four-poster bed with a mosquito net around it. The room had a completely white decor, and was very luxurious, modern and stylish. The bathroom totally met my standards for cleanliness, comfort, design and style. I loved the oar hanging on one of the restroom walls, fitted with hooks for hanging clothes or towels. A safe, open closets, a fridge, hair dryer, coffee and tea tray, and the TV of course, are all available in the room. A small porch outside with a sofa and a clothesline has been thoughtfully put up to hang our wet clothes from the beach! I also loved the pathways with leaf patterns embedded into the cement. So, so beautiful.
You could walk out from one side of the resort to the Chaweng beach and swim in the ocean or watch the waves while you sip a beer or cocktail, from one of the several lovely seaside restaurants. From the other side of the resort you walk right into a very hip and happening street lined with restaurants, souvenir shops, Thai massage parlours, lots of other fun shops and street food vendors, perfect to get a taste of the local superlative flavours.
It's also quite close to some of the places of interest - a Buddhist temple, a mummified monk, a waterfall and a Magic garden.
Do take a mosquito spray along though!

We booked a two week stay at this charming little resort hotel because we wanted to be on Chaweng Beach but not too close to the main and very noisy area. The location is great - about 10 minutes’ walk from the Central Samui mall and on a particularly beautiful stretch of the beach, which is superior to the beach at many more expensive hotels.
Our room, in fact a chalet/bungalow about half way between the beach and the street, was very clean, bright and airy, with a spacious bathroom and a separate closet area. Loads of storage space for both clothes and suitcases! The room also had a separate sofa and coffee table, and another sofa on the small terrace outside the door. The air con was quiet and efficient and the room was clean throughly every day. We really were very pleased with everything.
The staff are welcoming and friendly, and we felt that the resort was very well run with great attention to important details.
The grounds are full of beautiful plants and were one of the things we most liked. There is no swimming pool, but as the resort is on such a beautiful part of the beach, this wasn’t an issue for us.
The breakfast was plentiful and varied, catering mainly to western tastes. Food is available through the day in the airy restaurant overlooking the beach, which included an open air terrace.
All in all, we couldn’t have been happier with King’s Garden and felt that we got extremely good value for money. A find!

I had originally booked a room for April 2020, but had to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although my reservation was "non-refundable", King's Garden allowed me to delay my trip at no additional cost. I did re-book and recently stayed in the Sea Front Bungalow #27 with my husband and small dog. Everyone did their very best to ensure that we were taken care of and that we enjoyed our stay. Khun Thip from reception was an ANGEL, and went out of her way to provide personalized service, to include having the kitchen prepare some foods that were not on the menu. Since everything in Chaweng is still mostly closed, having food service at the resort was important, and they extended their hours because of this.
The room was perfect, right on the beach, with a dedicated porch overlooking the ocean. Our Pomeranian dog was pampered by everyone, and he enjoyed having the large garden and green areas available for his needs. I can't say enough about this resort and the staff, we will definitely be staying here again in the future.

This is my 4th visit and this is still a top notch place to stay in Chaweng. Same friendly staff and chilled vibe, with a location that sits just on the edge of the busy part of Chaweng township but also enough out of it to not be caught up in the hubbub. It has great bungalows and offers access to the best part of Chaweng beach. Breakfast is varied (the Thai food is delicious) and should suit most tastes. Has definitely set a high standard for accommodation in samui. If I had to find something that could be improved I would say it's time for a refresh of the basics like pillows, towels, sheets etc. They are all OK and it shouldn't stop you staying here but could do with an update. The channel selection on the TV has also been minimised over the various visits I've been so there is virtually no English TV, which is no that big of a deal. I also noticed my linen wasnt changed the whole time (12 days) I was there - it could have been a mistake and I probably should have mentioned it. I would still choose to stay here.

For quite some time I had not come across a stay which motivated me this much to write a review. My Wife and I, along with our pup had a fantastic stay in Kings Garden for 8 nights over the new year. From the booking process to check-in, and to all the requests we made, were all managed so smoothly and with such ease by the two lovely ladies at the reception Khun Ponthip and Khun Niida, that they deserve a special mention. Nothing seemed to be too difficult for them, they put us at ease from the very beginning and throughout our stay. They even ensured that our pup was taken care of for a morning, so that we could go for dive trip without any worries.
All rooms are independent bungalows, we were in deluxe room, it was bright, spacious, with very comfortable bed and more importantly super clean and spotless, hats off to the cleaning lady who came every day with a big smile. The restaurant is right overlooking the beach and it’s a lovely and comfortable place to sit for any of the meals. The breakfast was made to order with both western and thai options, and I just couldn’t get enough of their Thai breakfast, it was superb. After having food in couple of places, I was convinced that their thai food was excellent. This little restaurant was our lifesaver, as we are lazy, most of the days we would either have lunch or dinner here as well, and not to mention many number of drinks over the stay. Here again everything was so effortlessly managed, even during the new year period when more people arrived. It was surprising that all this was managed by two service staff and Khun Ponthip and Khun Niida supporting from time to time. In many upscale properties with more number of staff, I never got such ease of service, this was clearly experience and skill over quantity.
The beach was spotless, wide, powdery, uncrowded and sea being clear with blue and turquoise shades depending on the sunlight, the landscape surely got a covid break. The hotel had large trees on the beach which provided enough shade in case the sun got too bright. It was extremely relaxing to be on the beach, lying on comfortable sunbeds, with cool breeze from the sea. Massage service was available under the sala right on the beach, and I was happy to utilize the service very often, it was pure relaxation. The well-manicured garden towards the beach gave it a sense of open space, and was a happy area for the pup to be in. The location of the hotel is very convenient as well, couple of minutes’ walk to Central mall, which could fulfill any purchase needs, or just a daily stroll for knickknacks like we did. This was really helpful as 90% of regular shops were not operational.
We found this place to be endlessly practical, where everything that it offers works flawlessly and effortlessly, I think that’s what made our stay so satisfying and positive. This place is not pretentious, not for social media junkies looking for show-off pictures, this is for people who genuinely would like to relax and unwind.

Lovely small boutique hotel. My bungalow was light, airy, spacious, very clean and nestled into a lovely garden setting with a large veranda that had comfortable seating. There is no pool but the beach is stunning. Ocean was quite wavy while I was there. Staff and service was good. Lovely beachfront area for food and drinks. The resort is on a main road so it’s very walkable for shopping and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Location is good many restaurants and bars, beach is right in front, bungalows need some investment. Breakfast is soo plain without any Thai experience .. The price should be 50% reduced for the service they provide overall. Not recommend

This is the second time I have stayed at Kings Garden,
And it's 100% my favourite place to stay in koh samui. The Deluxe bungalow is a perfect size and really comfortable. The staff are all amazing and polite, and the lush gardens are always kept to a high standard and pruned to give you privacy on your balcony.
This was the first time I optioned to have breakfast included, and it was really nice. There were not many Thai options and more Western, but I didn't mind too much. The beach and sun lounges are my favourite part. I would ralax and swim and get a massage every day till about 2 pm. The only negative I would love the hotel to consider changing is to have some English channels on the t.v in the bungalow. On my previous stay, they had HBO movie channel to watch while going to bed. This time there wasn't even an English channel at all. It's not a deal breaker for me as I would stay again but something I want to mention.
