Great location. Tradional hotel and spa with lovely staff. Great beach front restaurant to while away the hours if you fancy a break off the beach. Overhanging paths guide you down to the beach. Great staff and beautiful simple rooms. We will return.

Resort is right on the beach with individual cabanas as well as a small building which guest stay. The pool was clean and steps from the beach. It is walking distance to restaurants, internet cafes, shops and travel agencies. They serve a nice breakfast buffet on the sea side patio. The staff was nice, we felt safe and had a... More

This is a bad choice, sadly. When I went there in 2005 it wasn't great but it was expensive for what it was. Very poor lighting, air conditioning hardly worked, s had to get a fan, food and service is poor.I hear it's in a pretty bad state.

I stayed at this resort in July 2007 and had an amazing time. The location is at the quieter end of Chaweng and the beach is virtually yours. The staff were always on hand to bring you drinks, and they couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was first class, as was the accommodation. I certainly didn't see any shabby... More

A travel agent booked this for us and it was terrible. Really run down. The pool was green. Every time you flushed the toilet an awful smell came out and was too scared to shower as it looked like it had never been clean. Felt sorry for the workers as we had to leave and I think we were the... More

They have worked harder on the outside of the hotel than the inside. What a disappointment it was to stay here. My wife and I stayed here for a total of four days! It was horrible. The cons: - Very plain /shabby rooms. Old Tv's (in all rooms), No DVD player/Cable. So essentially you cannot enjoy your time in the... More

We arrived in Samui with no booked accomodation and took a trip round 10 places on the strip in Cheweng before chosing this one. It was not only the cheapest but had its own pool, beach area and bungalow was very private (beats a hotel). We had our own bungalow which in fairness could have done with maybe a lick... More

We were in this realy nice resort 4 years ago, everything was so nice. It really was 'heaven on earth'. The best place in Chaweng! We deside to come back this year, how horrible is was now! Such a pity. It seems the owner is bankrupt, all the staff doesn't get payed anymore, so many left. The spa is closed,... More

We booked in with the Chaweng Cabana Resort for our honeymoon with our travel agent, who also put a message through to the hotel with the booking informing them it was our honeymoon. The place looked and sounded idillic from the pictures and discription, but this was so far from the truth. We arrived at the hotel to a shabby... More

We stayed for one night at the Cheweng Cabana resort. The lock didn't work on the first room we saw so we changed rooms. All staff were really not helpful and miserable. Found out later that we had been robbed of money that was hidden very well in our bags in our locked rooms. Obviously one of the staff had... More

“book yourself in for a night or two somewhere decent and then go walkies down Chaweng beach and look a the hotels before you choose one. Also, do you really need a pool? Most luxury hotels will let you use their pool and beach free! if you find one you want to be a regular at, buy a drink...you could save a fortune this way if you stay in a guest house where air conditioning actually works and have the best of both worlds!”
