We stayed in the hostel/hotel opposite Ark bar originally for 4 nights. Jack and the guys on reception could not do enough to help.
Clean rooms and reception area.
We went back for a second visit when back in Samui and again, couldn't have hoped for a better stay!
Highly recommend!

This hostel is situated right in the middle of Chaweng, just opposite ark bar which is one of the highlights of Samui! The hostels interior design is quirky and modern. The dorm rooms are spacious and all have their own en suite bathrooms with three showers and three toilets! The rooms are clean, lockers are provided and the air con is strong.

The staff allowed me to check in at 9am after a long haul overnight bus rather than wait till the stated 2pm check in time!

Overall a great hostel, just lacks a bit of atmosphere, but that may be due to it being low season on the island?!

Stayed here with my boyfriend and we loved it. Rooms are modern and clean, huge bed, shower was powerful, free wifi and air-con. All the staff were lovely and really helpful. The location is great, right in the middle of the main strip and close to the beach but can also be quite noisy from all the street noise. Wasn't a big problem for us though, if you have kids I would suggest a room away from the street. I would definitely stay again if in Koh Samui.

I stayed at Behind the scene in Ko Samui from 22 May to 24 May. I stayed with 2 of my friends on our way back from the full moon party on 21. We checked in on 22 May and went out to party and relax at the Ark bar and the beach. We came back to our rooms late in the night and had to go for the tour next morning. As we were running short of time the next morning we left our luggage unlocked and just locked the room. We were staying in a private room, room #403. On our return from the tour, we just took shower and again went to Ark bar on the night of 23. It never came to our mind to check our wallets which we had left in the hotel. We trusted them as the hotel is highly rated on all the sites. We checked out on 24 and left for Krabi airport.
On our arrival at Krabi Airport, we started accounting our expenses and this was the first time we checked our wallets after 21 May. We had been keeping account of our expenses after every hotel check out. We were shocked to see that all 3 of us were ROBBED!!
ROBBED!!
ROBBED!!
We had close to THB 30,000 in cash, and INR 20,000.
EVERY SINGLE PENNY was taken. They robbed us when we were out for tour on 23 May. I request you not to book this hotel.
There are other cases like this.
BEWARE.

The staff at behind the scenes went above and beyond! The hotel itself was situated in a lively part of Koh Samui where the music did go on til quite late so if your looking for a quiet time I wouldn’t recommend. But anyone looking to be greeted by a lovely dog named Lohr and have a good time and enjoy the night life should definitely consider this place!

I have been staying in the hotel for 4 days and have had the best time of my trip so far.

I would highly recommend this place to stay if you stopping in Chaweng for the night life or if travelling solo like me. When I first walked in it was so colourful really puts a smile on your face. I then went to reception on were I met Jack the manager of the hotel who was so happy and welcoming. He asked about my trip and what my thoughts were on thailand so far.

I was then shown to my room, I walked in and it was lovely and cold the air con had all ready been on and considering at this point I was head to toe in sweat this was a great touch.

After sorting myself out I went to explore, I asked Jack on some good places to visit and as a solo traveler how much I should be spending on travel as I got ripped off in Bangkok regularly. He suggested going to Ark bar at night as their is a beach party every night. I walked around Chaweng and found some nice shops and places to eat. I would recommend the backpackers for food, good price and tasty Thai or English and American food.

Soon after Jack recommend a tour and as it was quite late in the day that a afternoon tour would be best. I visited many different places around the island and including elephant trekking, cable rides, monkey shows, waterfalls, etc...

The minor downside here is that the hotel is situated right on the main road of Chaweng so music plays until 2am everyday and your in the centre of it.

I highly recommend this hotel as it’s clean, tidy and the staff are brilliant.

Thanks Jack for all of your help and organisation for me.

First of all, I don't understand why someone has wrote in a review below mine that it is not for couples? My boyfriend and I stayed here in a private room together for five nights and it was ideal!
Location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Chaweng, lots of bars and restaurants nearby (go to Khaosan restaurant!), 1 min from the beach and right opposite the Ark bar (best place to be at nighttime in Chaweng - look it up).
Rooms are massive and very comfortable, AC very strong, bathroom also good size and nicely decorated. Very clean, housekeeping must work hard!
All the staff seem dead on. Would definitely recommend this hostel, which seemed more like a hotel :)

Pros: Located at the central. Just bhind the Arc Bar. Happening beach party area. Easy to get public transport to move around. Nice frendly staff. Esp Jack! Rooms were good. Aircon were good. Wifi were ok. Lotsa restaurants. Highly reccomended for budget travellers. The hotel staff extended their help to pickup/send us to any location for better price than the taxi.

Cons: flooded in our bathroom.

This place is newly built so everything is fresh in there. Location is THE best if you want to stay in central chaweng. 50 m from ark bar, 200 m from green mango etc. Service level was high, really great people there. Some staff has minor language barriers, dont let that brother you just explain easier. The room was nice, AC, hot water, electronic safe and key cards for the doors. No fridge or balkony in the basic room i stayed in, but that wasnt what i was looking for either. always someone in the reception even night times. Jack the receptionist deserves a shout out too, really friendly guy. If you have question no matter what about, take it with him! Ive read the comments on this place, ask IF possible to get a room thats not in direct sun and or kinda in the middle. I got that and the room was silent as a sleeping baby and tbh not even needed for the AC to be on. Enjoy your stay (: PS. Its really cheap so you get big value for your money, go there before the reviews and mainstream hit the place becaouse after that it wont be cheap anymore!

Stayed here to recover from the full moon party in a group of 7. It's in a fantastic location to the bars and beach in chaweng (so little recovery but lots of fun). The rooms are clean, spacious and modern. All very minimalistic- could do with a couple of bins around.Showers are awesome, lockers available. Staff really friendly and happy to help- really accommodating to extend I our stay etc. Large communal area in foyer, although not much of a backpacker atmosphere (we were in a big group so no worries there- but if your travelling solo it doesn't generate a social atmosphere). Got a decent enough sleep, but it is close to the repetitive Cabaret show next door so bring some ear plugs if 'I am what I am' isn't your cup of tea!
