Comacchio had been recommended to us, but we found Al Ponticello on the internet. Both exceeded expectations. Despite arriving on the last day of the 'Sagra della Anguilla' (Festival of the Eels), with most of the historic centre banned for cars, a local policeman jumped in our car to accompany us through the maze of tiny streets to get to...

Riccardo and Sarah (owners) were so helpful, fun and inclusive. Comacchio is truly unspoiled and unique and the hotel is located next to one of the canals in the center. Riccardo's tour of the salter was one for the memory bank. They could not have done more to make us feel welcomed.

Staying like at home. Very clean and cozy! Modern, free parking! Super nice owners. Good free wifi. Simple but testy breakfasts. Nice location in the city center of Comacchio. Not far from beach ~ 7-10 mins by car.

We were there to run the marathon the next morning and Sarah prepared an early breakfast for us and on our request we were allowed to have...

We arrived at Al Ponticello a couple of days ago. Riccardo received us in a friendly way overwhelming us with information. Comacchio is a charming little town in the middle of misterious nature and well equipped beaches. Cities of historical importance as Ferrara and Ravenna are nearby. Te b&b is very clean, the breakfast is a small buffet but there...

Husband leads a great bird watching tour in the lagoon. The breakfast was well above average, room was very nice with a well equipped kitchen. Very nice bathroom. Private semi secure parking. Ricardo, the host, was extremly friendly and helped us to find our bike itinerary for the next day, to check out several B+B for the next night, called there while offering juice to the thirsty cyclists. Thank you very much. And the room was big and great, the location is perfect.
