A beautiful B n B in the delightful town of Nardò. A building full of history and character renovated to a high standard. Great hosts who were a wealth of knowledge on where to visit for the best experience. Nothing was too much trouble. We had an amazing first taste of Italy and recommended to anyone thinking of visiting this area. We’ll be back. Thank you Debbie and Darryl.

We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of September 2019. The hosts were friendly, easy-going and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious; Darrell is a great baker! The rooms were interesting (we got to see them all during our stay) decorated beautifully with original artwork. It was pristine, both in our room and in the public areas. The B&B is within short walking distance of the main square and several good restaurants. If you're a soccer fan, it's only a 5 minute walk to the local stadium. We went to the Ionian coast regularly and loved the warm, quiet waters in the coves. These were about 15 minutes away. The open air market next to Hong Kong Market was extensive, but only a small part of it was devoted to produce, meats and cheeses. This was interesting. There seemed to be miles of shoes for sale! We will definitely return.

What kind words, thank you very much. We strive to provide a personal touch as its also our home which we are very proud of. We are always willing to show guests around the other rooms if unoccupied so they can get a feel for the individual style of each room. The town is indeed a great place to explore the local beaches and surrounding area with the convenience of the bars and restaurants nearby at night. We hope to see you back again when you next visit the Salento.

Our 2nd visit to Palazzo Caridda and again not disappointed, once again as I walked in to the court yard it took my breath away, the rooms are also amazing, the building has been sympathetically restored to a very high standard. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and sets you up for a day of exploring the area or chilling on the huge roof terrace with fantastic views of Nardò. The hosts Darrell and Debbie are lovely and can’t do enough for you, they also have an excellent knowledge of the surrounding area and are always happy to give advice on places to visit. Nardò is beautiful with plenty of places to eat and drink at very reasonable prices. The square is just two minutes walk away and there always seems to be something going on, ensuring a great night out. Will definitely be returning next year to do more exploring in this beautiful part of Italy.

It is always lovely to see people return and enjoy the pleasures of the palazzo. We are pleased you found the same high standards on your second visit as this is important for us. Nardò is an authentic town which is tranquil in the day but bustling during the evening which you were able to appreciate. We hope that you will continue to return.

Stopped in this fabulous B & B for 3 nights at the end of May. It is a stunning building located in the winding streets of Nardò and only a minutes walk from the main square. You enter the Palazzo through a small door in a much larger one and find yourself standing in a beautiful open courtyard with either a blue sky or the stars above you. There are steps from here that take you up to the roof terrace where you can relax and enjoy the sun with a glass of wine or gaze at the stars. Our room was huge with a comfy king-size bed which we could lie on and enjoy the decadence of the beautiful high original ceiling. The bathroom is well equipped with all the necessary toiletries and a double headed walk in shower. There is also an en-suite dressing room which is a woman’s delight! Lots of hanging space, full length mirror, chair and another well lit mirror for doing make-up and a proper hairdryer! There is a tea and coffee making tray with fresh milk in the little fridge which also contains water, soft drinks, wine etc. at very reasonable prices. Plenty of choice at breakfast with a selection of teas, coffe, juice, toast, ham, cheese, jams, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, cereal and biscuits but make sure you save room for the homemade cake - it is to die for and was still warm one morning! The owners, Darrell and Debbie, are an English couple who are fluent in Italian and cannot do enough for their guests. They are very knowledgeable about the area and happy to recommend places to visit, look up train times (Lecce is very easy to reach from Nardo) or lend you maps and guide books. They are very proud of the Palazzo and rightly so - it is a stunning building and has been lovingly restored with many of the original features maintained through their hard work. I can thoroughly recommend that you stay here and enjoy their hospitality in this stunning building.

After spending a fantastic seven days in Puglia, I can highly recommend Palazzo Cariddi. Darrell and Debbie have been great hosts. The Palazzo itself is stunning and finished to a very high standard and our room was beautiful. Nardo itself was a perfect base to explore the delights of Puglia. We hired a car and within 15 minutes you can find yourself on one of the areas beautiful beaches. If you dont fancy driving then there were plenty of restaurants just a short stroll from the Palazzo or you can catch the local train direct to the stunning city of Lecce for just €2.50 If you are considering staying in Puglia, then Palazzo Cariddi should be high up on your list.

My husband and I recently stayed for three nights at this wonderfully restored boutique B&B with our parents, what a beautiful place it is too!!! Spotlessly clean and luxurious, no expense has been spared either during the renovation or when dressing the rooms you really do have to see with your own eyes to appreciate the grandeur. The hosts Darrell and Debbie were extremely friendly and very helpful and had great knowledge of the area, the freshly baked cakes at breakfast were to die for ❤️ The location for the town was perfect only a couple of minutes walk to the centre with a good selection of restaurants and bars. It also makes a great base for travelling Southern Italy, we hired a car but also took the train to Leece, the station being only a short walk from the accommodation. Lastly the property has a huge roof terrace to sit and enjoy the sun and a glass of the local wine...perfect!
