We stayed here the night before our camino walk, very pleasant. Bit of a walk from the station with luggage, but all part of the experience. The owner even drove us back into town for have dinner and gave us a quick tour of the town with his local knowledge. Great info on the camino etc. Breakfast was very nice...

As a pre-Camino stop-over, Maison Garicoitz was ideal. Far enough out of town (10mins) to ensure a good night's sleep, very comfortable and lots of helpful advice from our host on what lay ahead. Even though we arranged an early breakfast, fresh croissants were provided along with orange juice, coffee and some delicious homemade yogurt. I would strongly recommend it.

This is an excellent guest house for the last stay after a long cycling journey. The view is lovely. It is close enough to walk to the old city and to reach the Village Centre. The hosts is friendly, and very helpful!

My wife and I stayed here the night before we began our Camino. We knew it was not inside SJPDP. We were able to find it okay, but it was a bit of a hike in terms of distance and up the hill. This required effort to hike there, check in/drop off our gear, then hike back to town for...

We stayed for one night at the Maison Garicoitz on the start of the Camino de Santiago. It is located some couple of kilometres from the walled city centre. The host, Monsieur Jean welcomed us and explained all there was to know about St Jean and the first stage of the Camino. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Had a great...

We followed our GPS and it was not difficult to find Maison Garicoitz. Benart was welcomed us to our room and we were impressed with the lovely view from our balcony. Benart told us that walking to town is less than 15 minutes. We had a little chat about a French revolutionary general and the Santiago de Compostella walk, and...

We stayed for two nights at this lovely spot just outside of Saint Jean. It is a nice walk into town and home afterwards albeit one hill up. The owners are very friendly and helped us to answer many questions. The breakfast was good and the room was nice.

We stayed here the nice before we started a week's walking on the camino. The family were extremely friendly and welcoming. There are 3 bedrooms for rent and we took all 3. They were very clean comfortable, in an authentic basque style. The house was about a 10 minute walk from the town centre- a good length to stretch our...
