Just returned from a 1 week stay at the Destino Blue Hotel in Sidari, where we celebrated our Silver Wedding, purely by chance, after our initial holiday was cancelled.
Firstly, when looking at hotel pictures on the online brochures, sometimes they don’t quite tell the true story, but this hotel certainly does. The pictures you see on the website are EXACTLY what you get, it is simply stunning.
The hotel staff are some of the hardest working people I’ve come across, they are on duty from breakfast right through the day and nothing is any bother for them. Very pleasant and a credit to the hotel.
Rhea and Dora on reception are very impressive, efficient and helpful at all times.
Leo the manager and owner is around everyday to make sure things are going well and takes time to chat to everyone.
The food was served, not buffet style due to Covid 19 and was fantastic. Three choices of main meal , starters and desserts, something for everyone from traditional Greek dishes to vegetarian options.
We arrived at midnight and after checking in, Rhea gave us two hot meals they had prepared for our late arrival, which was a fantastic gesture, have never experienced this level of service before, anywhere. Well done!
The rooms were again, some of the best I’ve ever stayed in, with massive waterfall showers, flatscreen TV which allowed you to use your Netflix account, fridge, safe box, air con, tea making facilities and comfortable beds. There were no charges for any of the facilities in the rooms, unlike other hotels. We had a late flight home and were able to keep a room on till 6pm which again was fantastic, it meant we could spend one last day at the beach before getting cleaned up for our journey home.
The pool is enormous and the sun beds are out of this world, plenty of sun beds for everyone so no need to run around placing towels down at the crack of dawn.
3 min walk to Sidari beach and main strip so location again scores bonus points.
There is one thing I’m going to say, which I’m sure I will be chastised for...but this hotel can comfortably increase their prices as to me it is too cheap for the excellent standard of accommodation and facilities.

I would like to thank all of the staff for making our stay so relaxing and hope that this hotel and the staff go from strength to strength.
Hope to see you all again.

Fourth time lucky due to covid we managed to get away in 2020 and boy did we drop on lucky with the destino blue. The hotel is brand new and whoever designed it deserves a medal. If you like small intimate hotels with the small details taken care of this is the place for you .
The only negative I could come up with when the manager Leo asked for any improvements was that he needed bacon on the breakfast menu .
The hotel only has 54 rooms at the moment with more planned when the covid situation become more clear . The rooms are very modern with all the facilities you expect of a great 4 star hotel which other reviews have highlighted. We had a room over the bar area with a massive balcony and the sound proofing is the best I've come across in a hotel abroad. You couldn't hear the neighbours and the noise from the bar was minimal.
The pool area is kept very clean with the best / most comfortable sunbeds I've had the pleasure to lay on .we are early risers and had breakfast at 8am and were the first around the pool at 9ish . There were sunbeds available at all times of the day .Around a third of the room were swim ups with varying sun levels at different times of the day so the pool was never crowded.
Certain facilities were unavailable due to covid .The gym and spa weren't open,no beach towels provided and the food was all off a menu ,no buffet.
The evening meal was a vegetable soup with a dip and fresh bread rolls . Never been a massive soup fan but had 10 plus different ones over the holiday and all were superb ,the onion one was my favourite.
The second course was generally two meat dishes and a vegetarian option followed by two or three deserts.
All the meals were well cooked and spiced ,presented with generous portions.
The lunch snack menu was a good mix of Greek dishes and typical holiday fare like burgers ,pasta and pizza at decent prices.
The bar prices matched the bars in the resort which I think is a smart move because some hotels tend to overcharge guests. The choice of beers ,ciders ,cocktails and spirits was also great . Not a wine drinker so can't comment on the wines .
The manager leo should be immensely proud of the team of staff he has assembled in the short time the hotel has been open . Every member of staff we met was very professional, knowledge and friendly.
From Dora and rhea on reception to the pool men and gardeners, cleaners to the guys in the restaurant and bars especially panos, arsensis and adonis thank you for making it a special holiday at a very trying time .
Leo you and your family and staff should be immensely proud of the hotel you have created. Can't wait to return and see the hotel once you complete your plans post covid .
This has got to be in the best three hotels I've stayed in and considering its not part of a big chain with the there experience and resources says how highly I rate this hotel

It is our last day today at Destino blue hotel. We travelled as a family of 4 for a week away with our children aged 6 and 11. Upon a arrival we were greeted by a member of staff who offered us fresh orange juice which was a lovely touch. Check in was smooth and they even helped us with our cases to our room.
We were in block 300, the rooms are very clean and modern, there are plenty of plug sockets and a USB port. However these rooms never got any sun a tall, we would get beds by the main pool instead which was disappointing as we had paid for a swim up suit and could not use the pool as it was absolutely freezing! This brings me on to the main pool, this was also freezing and would take your breath away when you got in. My children did use the pool in short bursts but my eldest would refuse the majority of the holiday, it was only when he made friends he would follow them into the pool but he would be shivering. It would be better if the pools were heated especially at the end of the season.
The staff were very good and friendly and worked very hard to keep the hotel clean and tidy, and the maids always did a good job of cleaning our room. The food was ok but nothing to rave about, I understand it is a limited menu due to COVID.
I feel this hotel is better suited to adults only and not for families with children, it is also probably better suited to family’s with teenagers. There is nothing for children to do here, if my children hadn’t made friends with other children at the resort they would of been very bored. If they wanted to keep the resort aimed for everyone I feel a play area should be built and a kids club added with children’s entertainment. The children would often play on the grassy area by the restaurant as this was the only place suitable for them to really run around.
The hotel is lovely and very modern for sidari but unfortunately we will not be returning due to it not really catering for children.

The staff treated the hotel guests as friends. We couldn’t have asked for nicer service! Special shoutout to Leo and Spiros for making our stay so amazing. Super quick to attend to our needs at any time and very fast breakfast/dinner service. They were amazing, can’t give them enough praise!! We didn’t want to leave, they made our week! They were the main reason we would come back to this hotel. They are so welcoming and make you feel at home/ part of their hotel family.

The rooms were absolutely spotless and very modern. The tv has 9 UK channels (eg sky news) along with YouTube and Netflix. Our balcony overlooked the pool and hotel which was very nice because we could sit on the balcony in the mornings and whilst getting ready for dinner at night. We also had lovely views of the sun setting behind the mountains! The shower and the bathroom itself were so clean. The shower had the choice of either a small head or big head. The cleaners came everyday with a set of fresh towels and bedding.

The food was amazing! Due to the COVID-19 guidelines they could not provide the buffet service. Instead they had a 3 course meal on the dinner menu with soup to start (this varied everyday) with bread rolls and a dip. For main there was an option of 3 different meals and for pudding there was a selection of puddings or a fruit salad. Maybe the hotel could do with more vegetarian options on the menu and perhaps another option for starter. Breakfast had the same menu every morning but overall a good selection.

Day time
The hotel provided luxury sun beds during the day. Very comfy and big. There was no need for us to wake up early to reserve a bed with our towels. There was plenty available. The pool bar has a big selection of drinks such as alcohol (sangria was nice), milkshakes, slush, soft drinks and they had Carte Dor ice cream. The atmosphere was peaceful but they also had some background music which wasn’t too loud during the day. It created a nice atmosphere.

I would definitely recommend this to couples who want a relaxing holiday but also like a sociable atmosphere. We’re 20 and enjoyed the night time entertainment and the atmosphere during the day. Also the receptionist (not sure on her name but the blonde one!!) was so lovely!! When we checked in we were served a welcome drink and had our suitcases taken up to our room.
Definitely the nicest hotel in Sidari by far ! Thankyou so much for making it so amazing😊.

After arriving very late we were pleasantly greeted by a cold drink and a food box as we missed dinner.
During our stay as a group of 3 girls we had a lovely room with all the amenities we needed, although the fridge was turned off due to COVID. The room was very clean and fresh towels provided every day, the standard of the room is much higher than anything we have experienced in other Greek islands.
Breakfast was managed well and the quality of the food for both breakfast and dinner was exceptional. The waiters were attentive and personable, making us feel at home from the start.
One of the owners was very hands on and gave us so much advise on where to go and what to see (the most beautiful places even off the beaten track).
We also ate at one of the hotel owners restaurants (where you get a 15% discount), they went above and beyond to accommodate us even though it was very busy.
The hotel throughout our stay made sure we were safe with respect to COVID (sanitiser provided, cleaners constantly present and waiters in masks). The pool area is beautiful and the sun beds are luxurious and happy hour is a must with some amazing cocktails available.
All round a great trip, thoroughly recommend.

Destino Blue Hotel is stunning and very clean, however be careful when booking the swim up room, we only had Sun from 1:00pm till 3:30pm because the balcony pillers above us blocks the sun for the most of the day and if I’m honest they really wasn’t needed, they are there just for show, if I had knew this I would of just booked the normal room and saved the money. The food wasn’t for me. With covid-19 you have to order from a menu and the breakfast was the same every day, choice of fried or scrambled eggs, sausage, beans and toast or fruit, yogurt and granola or cereal. We would go for breakfast at 9:00am and wouldn’t receive our food until after 10:00am. For the main meal they gave you three options, which really isn’t much choice! They serve the main meal from 7:30pm till 10:30pm, however we went down at 9:00pm and they had ran out of the chicken dish for that day and the only other option was pork or stuffed peppers. As I don’t each pork and I don’t much care for peppers, I choose the pasta from the children’s menu, which actually came as a children’s size meal. I would of thought because it was an adult ordering it with no children at the table they would of served it as an adult portion. The starters which are soups are bang on couldn’t fault the soup, every main meal came with a pool of oil and salt and pepper at the bottom of the plate, was not impressed with the food. I have also order from the menu they serve at lunch and again not much choice and the food isn’t any better. We ordered dessert of the day one evening, which was the dessert from the previous night, but looking around on other tables, they different/fresh desserts. So I’m guessing the dessert of the day means anything they can put there hands on at the time of the order? The breakfast and evening meal service can be slow and this was without the hotel being busy. The Robbie Williams tribute act on the evening was FAB! We both really enjoyed it. The hotel again is stunning but the food left me very disappointed.

We visited Destino Blue in October with friends. When our holiday to Turkey was cancelled at short notice we decided to head back to Sidari where we had enjoyed a lovely holiday in August and we were familiar with the area. The Destino Blue Hotel & Spa was the only hotel which stood out to us as an equivalent to the hotel we had lost in Turkey and wow, we were not disappointed. This hotel really is the only establishment of it's standard in Sidari.

Having only been opened 12 weeks the hotel is doing an amazing job. Of course the facilities are brand new and modern and everything in this hotel is finished to a very high specification. The staff are wonderful. From the lovely ladies on reception to all the waiters and bar staff who genuinely can not do enough for you. The food is very good, we enjoyed all the options we tried and the drinks quality is comparable to the standard of drinks we enjoy in the UK- they serve the best red wine and Pornstar Martinis I have ever enjoyed on a European holiday! Prices are pretty much the same as we were paying in August at a much lower star hotel, so no price hikes here. The seem pretty much the same wherever you visit in town.

The rooms are very spacious, we had a pool view triple room. The sun loungers around the pool are the most comfy sun beds I have ever experienced ever!!! Even 5* hotels I have stayed in before have not had such luxurious beds. No expense has been spared with these and it shows.

The hotel is centrally located, just a 5 minute stroll from the 'strip', canal d'mour and the beach. Also if you do wish to eat out the hotel offers guests 15% off food at the other establishments in town that they own. We enjoyed amazing food at The Greek Village and Calypso Beach and various nights out and tribute acts in Madisons. Just ask reception for a VIP card to access these offers.

I highly recommend the Destino Blue Hotel & Spa, yes you are paying a little more put you are paying for class and service. There are a few teething issues that need to be ironed out but this is to be expected somewhere so new. What a fabulous addition for the town. I would 100% return to this hotel in the future and encourage you to visit yourself.

The hotel is a credit to it's owners and the staff should recieve great praise for their dedication and service. Thank you Destino Blue for a wonderful and memorable week in the sun!

My husband and myself visited Destino Blue a month after opening, the place is clean, fresh, modern, gorgeous planting which looks great!

Set not far from Canal D’mour and the strip it’s placement is perfect.

We had a swim up suite which set back from the main pool area, we never used the main pool as our swim up was perfect and loved using our extra comfy loungers ( mattress 6inch thick) on our balcony patio .
We had room 102 and it got sun 90% of the day.

The rooms are clean, modern , minimalistic & large, with the bathroom to suit.
There is no usual cups/tea bags etc in the room because of covid but you can request them no problem.
The hotel when no covid is around will be buffet but for now it’s waiter service, the food is lovely and tasty. You can purchase food and drinks (cocktails are great) during the day from the pool bar.

We spoke to Leo the owner and he was telling us that there is a indoor pool, gym & spa for the future when covid is not around.

I wish Leo and all his hard working staff all the best for the future, you deserve it .

My background is Aviation and I've been fortunate to have stayed in luxury hotels all across the world, and Destino Blue now makes my list. This hotel was recommended to me by another crew friend and my goodness am I glad I listened.

Having arrived to the hotel at nearly 1am.. I was greeted with thee warmest welcome, but the little touch of the chef leaving food and a drink for me after travelling, certainly made me feel valued not as a customer but as a guest. The only other place I've seen this happen is in South Africa.

I had a swim up room, which was beautiful, the design and finishing was sleek and comfortable.

The pool area was beautiful, with not a plastic sunlounger in sight, bliss.
There is a pool bar, serving food, cocktails and music if you forget your head phones.

Breakfast and dinner in main dining area with spaced out tables and chairs. All food is freshly made, catering to both meat and vegetarian eaters.

From the reception staff (Dora) the waiting staff, the cleaners and the manager (Leo) nothing is too much trouble, especially in these weird covid times we find ourselves in. It truly was a "little gem" of a find. Well Done on your fantastic achievement especially opening just 4mths ago!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a week, we didn’t want to leave. The hotel is absolute gorgeous, facilities that were open such as pool, sun beds, restaurant and bar you could not fault. Staff are amazing, they make you feel very welcome and not one walks past without saying hello and making sure your okay. They genuinely care if your having a good time, and ready to sort anything if not. The manager of the hotel (Leo I think), was very friendly and cared about his guests. The food in the hotel was different every night; really good quality only downfall was the breakfast was the same every morning. But there are plenty of places to eat out around the hotel for lunch. The hotel is based in a fantastic location with lots of things to see and do, including going to the beach which is literally minutes away from the hotel, restaurants and bars that are also very lively of a night time and the food is amazing. We loved eating in the Greek village where you can get 15% off. The rooms are amazing I would recommend the swim up rooms if your looking for a more laid back and relaxing stay. Weather was faultless. Drinks/snacks in the hotel are at a decent price. Staff worked really hard to make this holiday amazing they did this with all there quests despite the current circumstances. Pool was clean, rooms were spotless (fridge and safe included), we couldn’t thank Destino Blue enough for making our first holiday so special. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a chill holiday. If you are visiting this hotel then definitely see the sunset memories it is gorgeous and picturesque. Lots of memories made and will be returning next year.
