The staff at the hotel are absolutely superb but special mention must be given to reception staff, well done. They helped to change our booking to go on the pirate ship, we lost track of days, the holiday was that good. We upgraded our room to a sea view as the initial room overlooked a cliff just slightly taller than...

If you're looking for something more lively, it is probably not the best place. However the service is excellent and the rooms are better than most I've seen. The area is quiet, but the residents are really friendly to tourists. The roof bar and pool make it an excellent place to relax.

Firstly, just want to say the staff were very helpful and provided excellent service, which is a real delight. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is very average, the rooms are not very well furbished so have an old 90s look to them and the self-catered kitchen didn't have certain necessary kitchen utensils. Other than that, there's not much in or around...

Impressed that our room was cleaned&towels changed everyday. The snacks at the bar were big portions. The pool is a deep paddling pool, but it's lovely seeing the sea in the pool. In October sun shined on the roof at 11am There is a big pool over by the beach, which has WiFi. And the restaurant attached to it does...

The hotel is very dated and it is literally the only hotel there. The 'resort' is absolutely minute. There is literally nothing to entertain yourself for more than a couple of hours. The tyre fitting bay opposite is noisy. We ended up booking an apartment in central Madeira for three days and leaving the room empty until the last night....

Good hotel and great location. Only problem was checking in, it was at 1400hrs and we arrived at 1130hrs. Left bags in hotel and explored the cafes nearby. Rooms OK but no AC and it was warm but floor fans were provided in the room and with the windows open it was not too bad. The rooms are a bit...

Avoid this place. Old rooms, dated with little space to open a suitcaise, tv of a size of laptop, sad yellowy walls, certainly not for a couple- check if you get a twin or double as we had a twin that couldnt be joined, not for a romantic stay or not for a holiday. The pool area is old and...

My only requirements when searching for a hotel on Madiera was a pool and a room with AC. Despite advertising at the time I booked that they had AC, they don't! The square pool in the pictures does not belong to the hotel. It's a free to use, public sea water pool. We had a "superior" room with a sea...

Hotel is in a lovely location. My room was at the side of hotel opposite garage and there was some noise but I was able to sleep with window open. The safety deposit box in the room cost €3 a day. I was room only so got breakfast things from supermarket and ate on the beach. For the beach I...
