Thank you to Jon and Alex for their very warm hospitality during our stay at the Ferndale last week. We had a lovely break relaxing in and around their beautiful b&b ... amazing breakfast and dinner, very comfortable room and wonderful views from our room.

Stayed at Ferndale for one night in March 2017. It's a beautiful property, on a hill overlooking the town of Keel, the beach, and the mountain across the bay. The owners, Alex and John, were wonderful hosts; they clearly have a lot of passion for the business and for Achill. The rooms are all quite lovely and unique; definitely quirky,...

Booked this as a birthday treat and despite great reviews was a little concerned that B&B can be quite hit and miss. Arrived at app 8pm and was met by my hosts Jon and Alex, very friendly and after viewing my booked room was given the opportunity to upgrade. What a Fableous room and I accepted the upgrade - see...

Best nights accommodation ever! Bedrooms are unreal, hosts are delightful, their dogs are adorable & breakfast was delicious. Defo recommend it. We stayed in the Chinese room, bed was really comfy & the shower was out of this world.

The B&B, once you find it, has a great view, John and Alex were very friendly and helpful, the en-suite bathroom was clean and had good water pressure, coffee maker in the room, comfortable bed, so far all boxes checked... The room however is something else: A diwan, a custom-made kasbah around the TV, with colored-ambient lights, drapes everywhere, brand...

A birthday surprise for my partner and what a wonderful stay. Our hosts Jon and Alex were superb from the moment we stepped through the doors as we were made to feel so welcome. They both could not have done enough for us. The room based on an Ancient Rome theme was fabulous and everything was just perfect. The breakfast...

We would like to thank Jon and Alex - our fantastic hosts for a memorable experience. The rooms are unique, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is yummy. We also stayed here for dinner and the food was simply delicious. The food is prepared from the freshest ingredients and had a very particular mix of flavors from around the world. 1...

The B&B is located on the heights of the village but is still near the center. The hosts are really friendly and welcoming. They helped us booking a table in one restaurant and explained very well every single detail of the rooms. One host even spoke fluently french. The rooms are clean and modern, however a little bit kitsch. Breakfast...

Myself and my husband stayed in Ferndale on Saturday night. From the moment we arrived until we left this morning it was amazing. Jon, Alex and Daniel were so friendly. We stayed in the Mayan Suite and the views out over Keel Bay were spectacular. We booked dinner - I have to say I was a bit nervous as I...
