We came across this perfectly placed bar on the beach. We were attracted by the sun-loungers for rent and a dear little lady raking the sand, positioning the loungers and hammering in the sun shades with a large stone, her energy would put some of us to shame.’ Mumma’ was the icing on the cake for our last day in Kavos. We lay on the loungers listening to the sound of the waves, then had a cocktail ( pina colada in a pint glass it was lovely) a Greek salad husband had a burger and I had a bacon sandwich we just wanted a snack and they we delicious. Served in fresh rolls. We will definitely be back next year and spend a couple of days here on the beach and do some snorkelling between. There is a hotel also that you can find on booking.com that appears to be are of good quality by what we could see. We have a place we stay regular in Kavos but this would be exactly a place we would recommend ( sun-loungers are free to hotel guests and €2 each and €1 for sun shade, well worth it for the day).

We came across this seaside taverna whilst walking along the beach. From what we see and hear these apartments are beautifully kept and have retiring customers year after year. It is behind the quieter strip so good access to bars and restaurants. We hire a subbed for the day and this gives you free access to the pool area and toilets. The taverna looks out on the beach and you can enjoy bar snack like burgers, chips as well as traditional Greek salad (yum) and a daily special which was Greek stiffado when we visited. The bar sells quality beers, sprits and cocktails at good prices. I always have a pina colada and it is fantastic served in a pint glass and why not !!! So to mama Nicki, what an added bonus, she will ensure your subbed is sand free and facing the sun, she will hammer in umbrellas and rake the sand. What a lady. The sun beds are 6€ a day but worth the experience. Can’t wait to see you again next year and my pint of pina. Lovely views, seaside, sun beds, food and a drink a lovely day by the beach sunbathing, snorkelling, so relaxing.

I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. It is situated on the beautiful clean sandy beach on the southern tip of Corfu.
The modern rooms are spotlessly clean as is the bar and pool area.
The food is a good standard, make sure you try the 'Special of the day' You will not be disappointed, as a chef I am not easily pleased!
I may add also the owners themselves are extremely hospitable and nothing is too much trouble.
5 stars! Will definitely return.

From the moment we arrived till we left a week later, we had a great time at the hotel and it’s surroundings. All of the staff from Mumma who does not stop all day sorting out the areas and beach beds to the other staff in the bar etc who are all friendly.

The rooms are spacious and simple, with a decent balcony.

Situated a short walk from the busy strip and many small supermarkets, bars and restaurants is a bonus, but can get noisy at times with the young guys and girls coming back in the early hours of the morning to this hotel or to those hotels either side. However, the hotels is still far enough away so that it is relaxing and quiet most of the time. Pool is clean and lovely, but the 5 second walk to the beach is better. Soft sandy beach, and really shallow and warm water is ideal for everyone and especially those with kids.

All in all, a great weekend just relaxing in the sun.

Recommend getting up early to see the sunrise coming over the hills on the mainland to the east.

Another visit to this hotel was not disappointing. Again, fantastic service and beautiful friendly family who run the apartments. Plenty of space in the studios, just the showers need to be re-designed so you can get in them. Bar and food were excellent. Straight onto the beach from the bar, just a little disappointing that you stay there but have to pay to use the sunbeds on the beach. Pool lovely and clean and very inviting. By the end of a hot day it is like getting into a bath. The quiet stip is literally a few steps away, the very lively strip is about a 5 minute walk. There are amazing restaurants and bars along both strips. Would recommend and will definately be back again. Thank you

Don’t go unless you’re a wild teen. I was ashamed to be British. Gas cylinders, weed, you name it. Without the youth drug culture who partied right through the night and morning, it was paradise. The hotel brothers who owned the place were great, beach and excursions great, but I would rather have died than to have gone through this. The clueless young thugs run the place and they enjoy their time away from mummy and daddy to generally intimidate. Our bus was even late to leave for The airport as one of the brothers needed to resolve a dispute about the kids who smashed their room up! What a terrible shame, so let down

I discovered this property because of the business I am in - This is not a four or five star resort- BUT it is a ten star family run property where the guest return year after year- not too fine dine- not to go to high-class clubs- but to relax----and while Kavos has mad media coverage this may not be the place for everyone or travelling families- For me personally and the people I met on my trips there( one for five weeks) it was -for me like the BIG BROTHER HOUSE lol we met people we laughed- we tried to speak Greek lol we danced at the bar- BUT this is a place you have to either love or not----I have stayed in many many places and I love here- If it were owned by anyone else but the Master and his family -then I would not probably want to go to Kavos -Someone wrote it is a ten min drive to Corfu---that must be by helicopter - it's about 40 min - people see television and ask me WHY the hell are you in Kavos ? the answer is simple- I love the tranquillity ( even with the hum of the strip) I do not like the smells of the drains if it rains- I love the owners and always meet great people- While kavos is 90 per cent kids I mean mad crazy kids they DO keep themselves to themselves on the strip area- they are hammered at nights and rarely surface till I am going to bed lol lol lol This place can not be compared- so I can not judge it against cruising- America- m five star hotels etc---it is what it is and it is fantastic- Olympic holidays usually have great early season and late season and remember after last week September there is very very little to do - I have no problem with that because it lets me have 'Stavros ' family time- Big brother time- and time with the locals - My wife died some years ago- and my kids all Married with kids- and i can tell you THIS is the best place for me to go as a dolo traveller- i am always included -as are other single people-

Having previously lived on this beautiful island many years ago, and visiting Kavos on numerous occasions previously.... I will certainly say that Kavos certainly has a beautiful beach and is worthy of a holiday if you can avoid the hassle and noise of the strip. I first encountered the Stavros apartments when walking along the beach back in 2015 and enjoyed a pleasant beer at the bar before sunbathing on the beach outside, It seemed a perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun. At that time I was staying further up the resort at the Agnes [which were heaven compared to this, despite the noise from the drunken/drugged kids]. I decided to book a 2 week holiday in late September 2017 when I found a great price for this hotel and knowing it was out of season, expected to find a more relaxed experience without the noisy nightlife. Oh, how wrong was I !!

Arriving in the early hours, we had a long walk from the coach to the Stavros and then I was shocked to see my 2 bed apartment which can only be described as a joke. I know Greek accommodation is generally very basic, but in all my years this was by far the worst place I had set eyes on. The apartment was basically 2 rooms with a box kitchen and shared bathroom. It had 2 separate solo balconies. No communal area at all unless you counted the large bathroom !

Then it began..... at 3.00 am the noise above started. I was somewhat shocked as most people on the resort were over 60's at this time of year. I spent most of the night listening to shouts and glasses being thrown about and what appeared to sound like a couple fighting each-other. The next day I reported this to the Scottish Olympic tour rep, and requested a room change and warned him how unusual this behaviour sounded to me. He was rather arrogant and explained that I was in Kavos and should expect this, and it would not be possible to move rooms unless I paid 35 euros per night to relocate/change.

The bottom line is that 2 days later after further nights what appeared to sound like a woman being tortured and a head being banged on the floor above my room, a woman was taken to hospital and subsequently died.

The hotel played it down, the police never made an appearance and the rep was never seen again [preferring to hide out in the hotel next door for the remaining 9 days of our stay]

As for the pool - the music may not be to everyones taste and is extremely loud despite the lack of customers, but it seems that the sole purpose of this was to drown out the music coming from the hotel next door, which incidentally was very good and much more suitable for a beach bar..

Need I say more. I certainly do not recommend this place and my opinion of Olympic Holidays in general is poor due to this long term Reps attitude.
