Myself, husband and 2 children aged 15 and 12 visited ekati for a week on a bed and breakfast basis.
Currently on our last morning before leaving so thought I'd take a moment and write our review.

Pros: we had a family room which was fine for us with a double bed and single bed in one room and 1 bed in the kitchen area. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were cleaned daily and the cleaners did a fantastic job throughout the hotel. Balcony was big and the shower was powerful.
Poolside was spotless, someone would go around regularly collecting any rubbish etc.
Drinks were reasonably priced (around 8€ for a cocktail) beer was served in frozen glasses which was a nice touch. Plenty of sun loungers and day beds available even in he height of August.
The area was what concerned me at first obviously it being kavos strip however I needn't have worried at all. The hotel is set about 5-6 min walk away from the main strip and not once were we woken or heard any partying going on throughout the night. The strip doesn't get busy until 10pm+ which by this point we were heading back to the hotel anyway. Not once did we not feel safe
I recommend trying contessas for a posh dinner but we also ate at big max too which did a starter and main for €7 each! Really nice food.
Ekati is definitely one of the nicer hotels in the area and the chilled music by the pool made for a relaxing experience. The pool is quite deep. I'm 5ft 5 and it came up to my neck so just be aware with small children. There is however a smaller pool suitable for small ones.
Towels for the pool can be provided for a deposit of €10 each.
Breakfast was nice although a little samey and some days was cold but that really didn't bother us as it was hot! Average of 30' every day so the pool was a must.
We booked 3 excursions during our time here to corfu town, aqualand and paxos caves. Plenty of travel places around and one right outside.
The beach is literally a 2 minute walk away.

What I would have liked to make this an even better stay:
Cutlery in the room. We had saucepans and a cheese grater but no hob or cutlery. I'm sure this could have been sorted at reception but we didn't plan on cooking so no problem. Cups- there was only 4 of different sizes. Again this probably could have been sorted but it was fine
Easyjet holidays website stated there was evening entertainment and a pool table which there wasn't. There was music playing but no real entertainment as such which was slightly disappointing and a pool table would have been a nice touch to break up the day. Again, wasn't too fussed as we were out in the evenings.
The bbq night which is held on a Sunday was gorgeous. Really recommend booking (€20 a head includes unlimited grilled meats, veg, salads etc) however it was advertised as an evening of entertainment with singing etc but only greek music was played. We've been to other Greek islands where these type of evenings had plate smashing and dancing etc so that was slightly disappointing
Again, these are all little niggles and definitely haven't put us off. We have really enjoyed our stay and have already recommend to others at home. Staff can't do enough to please you and all are really friendly. Sad to be going home but we will be back!
I would recommend hiring a car or quad to explore further afield. Which can all be done at reception.
Yamas to all the staff at ekati mare

My boyfriend booked this trip for us and we stayed for a week in Kavos, I didn’t want it to end. The hotel is beautiful and so peaceful. The room is lovely and exactly like the pictures. Everyone who works here is incredibly hospitable and bends over backwards to ensure your needs are met. Facilities are great and so is the pool/ lounge area. Very clean and hygienic they were constantly cleaning behind us and ensuring everything was sanitized. The best part? By far the food and cocktails ( the drunken sailor is the best) and the mixologist (unfortunately didn’t get her name) is really kind and makes amazing drinks. The breakfast is delightful and offers a variety of foods from cold cut meats to bacon and sausages. There’s fresh fruit, eggs and fresh bread. The one thing you have to try are the pies. They’re different every morning (spinach is amazing) and are just a treat.
All in all I had an amazing holiday here for seven days, it’s a little walk to the strip of Kavos although we didn’t really go down there. Across the road is a lovely lady selling boat trips and excursions all over Corfu for good prices and many shops a short walk away. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone, couples and families alike.
Thank-you for a beautiful stay and a wonderful holiday

I spent 2 weeks here on a solo holiday in July 2023 and it was an amazing holiday made even more special by Dina, Muhammed, Marina the chef and Poppy the owner who are all fantastic. The food was lovely, and the accommodation perfect. I was made to feel so welcome and all the staff are so lovely and helpful. Kavos itself is definitely aimed at the younger crowd, with all the bars and nightclubs but Ekati Mare is in the perfect location where it is just far enough away from all the loud music so it doesn't disturb you through the night. Kavos is a little run down due to the way that it is being treated by some younger holiday makers who throw their beer bottles and rubbish on the ground, how anyone can treat a beautiful place like that is beyond me. But that being said If you are up very early in the morning for a walk to the beach you see all the locals and bar owners cleaning and tidying up the previous nights mess so it is not left like that. There is still plenty to do and see for families and other travellers. I recommend booking any trips through the hotel as they are slightly cheaper, The Paxos- Anti Paxos trip is a definite must, as well as visiting Corfu old town. If you walk up to a sign that says 'Venus Beach' you get a lovely part of the beach that does belong to the hotel but anyone is welcome providing you don't take your own food and drink and buy from them which is fair enough. They come to your sunbed ( which are free to use) to take your order and deliver the food straight to you which is fab and the price is very reasonable. Overall I would definitely recommend the Ekati Mare to anyone that is looking for a relaxing holiday surrounded by lovely people and I would definitely visit again.

Can not fault the hotel or staff 😀
Clean.
Big 2 bed family room with 3 balcony’s.
Small kitchen area.
Bedding/towels changed 5 out of 6 days.
Clean well kept pool.
Food was nice.
Mainly couples and family’s staying.
Late check out option.
Lots of local and brand drinks , sadly no cider 😢

Great position at the end of the street where the nightlife was,so quiet on a night but near enough to walk to the bars and beach each day. In fact never did a taxi except to take us for a boat trip one day.

All staff very helpful. Especially the young girl and man who served drinks poolside throughout the day, they happily gave us tips on where to eat or visit.
Let us have late check out.

Had one problem , other than no cider ha cocktails made up for this tho, 4 of us stayed in one of the family 2 bedrooms across from main hotel.
After first night we did ask for the single bed replaced with a proper bed as it was more like a day/cot bed so not comfortable for a week like the others. They did one better, gave us another apartment as well as the one we were in. So no complaints!

Did have all cost taken from credit card on day of booking with booking.com Who stated just a deposit. So be aware of this. Was ok for Us This time though.

Make sure you do the boat trips to the other small quaint villages. True Greece.
Felt very mamma Mia!

The hotel is small but modern and well appointed. The rooms have double, twin or treble lay out and have walk in showers which are getting a little tired but with good powerful showers (be prepared it’s Greece and you can sometimes get a cold or hot shock!) The air con is excellent and beds comfortable with towels changed daily and pool towels offered at reception. The pool is beautiful but it is not cold and by the end of day in Corfu heat it’s almost like a bath by 5pm! There is a little competition for sun beds but I think if the hotel put out an extra 5-10 beds this would be quickly solved. Breakfast was ok some fruit, yoghurt and juices with cooked bacon eggs and toast.. not a huge selection but adequate. Kavos itself is still clinging to its 18-30 club days unfortunately so there are negatives about the resort itself, 20 year olds sucking on laughing gas balloons and being sick in the street is not my idea of fun! But go to some of the beach side restaurants and bars away from “The Strip” and you will find nice places to have a drink and some great restaurants (Roussos, Florida and Pure to name a few) I have to make a special mention to the staff, they never stop and are always smiling despite being run off their feet at times always helpful and eager, the hotel management really need to pay them more! If coming as a family I’d advise taking some day trips and even going to some of the nearby towns in the evening if you don’t want to run the gauntlet of the strip! Lefkimmi is lovely for the evening and 10€ in a taxi.

Just returned from a lovely short break taken by myself and my baby boy. I couldn’t fault anything about the hotel. Service was friendly, professional and personal by every single member of staff I encountered. Nothing was too much trouble, like helping me carry my pushchair up a flight of stairs in the rain one evening and often happily entertaining my youngster allowing me a moments peace, thoughtful yet effortless tailored service. I ate lunch twice at the hotel bar and dinner once, and meals were always served promptly, were delicious and well presented. Specific meals I requested for the baby which weren’t on the menu, were provided accurately and without complication. (I can’t comment on breakfast as we never used this service.) We stayed in a suite, (515) which was perfect for us- large, spotlessly clean and quiet room, comfy bed with full squishy pillows, fridge containing a couple of bottles of complimentary water on arrival, kettle, toaster, microwave, stylish decor, large shower, excellent WiFi signal and Netflix on the TV. All public areas including the pool appeared clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely book again for a similar trip, I can’t wait to go back. For Kavos, or anywhere, a marvellous hotel and worth every penny paid. Thanks everyone at Ekati, love Rory and Claire. :)

Staff  5/5
Very attentive staff, friendly and sincerely interested. Providing a lot of beautiful places to visit around Corfu and the islands near.

Food 5/5
I am pretty difficult eater as I don't eat a lot of fish and am quite picky. The included breakfast and dinner buffets always had more than enough choice for me to have a delicious meal every time. MUST try the burgers from the card menu, they are amazing!

Accomedation 5/5
By far the most polished and qualitative rooms available around Corfu. Recently completely renovated and in top shape. Nice and well maintained swimming pool.

Yamas Kavos!

Amazing 7 days at Ekati Mare! Beautiful design, renovated in 2020, clean modern rooms and the best staff ever! Very thoughtful and caring, they felt like family by the end of the visit. Ekati Mare is definitely a place to come back!

Want to say a few words separately about the cuisine. We chose for half board dinner and never regretted, every evening the team serves different meals and all of them are super delicious. The a la carte menu is top-notch, especially the goat cheese burger which is the best we ever tried and can definitely recommend.

The beach is very close-by, however you will definitely want to chill some time at the pool at the hotel which has a lot of cosy sitting places for a drink.

Overall, best experience ever ! Thanks to everyone at Ekati Mare who makes a vacation unforgettable!

First impressions of the hotel it looks nice, the food at lunch time was very nice, the breakfast wasnt too bad, however the pool was very cold and quite deep so might be really nice when its hot to jump in and out of but at this time of year it was too cold, the room was cleaned daily however bedding wasnt changed, we got bitten alot at night time so was blood marks on the sheets, the sheets are quite thin and was very cold at night so could maybe do with an extra blanket, our view from the balcony wasnt to bad however we were in the shade all day but it wasnt too bad would just have been nice to have a bit of sunshine, we were given fresh towels and pool towels were provided, no kettle in the rooms asit states, we did have a fridge. pool area is nice, alot of wasps around. We ate dinner 1 night and it was nice, however when we went a second night we were left sat outside for 15 minutes as it was cooler we decided to go in the restaraunt and were sat for another good 30 minutes and werent acknowledged that we were there, it was late and cold so we just decided to leave and go back to the room, we wouldnt have minded if the restaraunt was full but there was about 5 people and 3 staff memebers just walking around looking busy it felt as though we were just being ignored however we let it slide and just decided we will go elsewhere for food, the staff didnt really acknowledge us much of our stay, i wouldnt mind if it was so busy but its out of season so was really quiet, and most times when asking for things ot felt like we were putting the staff out,the receptionist was pleasant and helpful. Location is good to get to other parts of kavos excursion place just outside so was handy, bus stops outside, 80 euros for a private taxi to airport so cant fault it too much, however using holiday taxis cost 11 euros but takes longer,

At Ekati Mare, I like the fact that everything is in its place. It is obvious that the materials, colors, and their fit were taken into account - but also, the place is unpretentious. Each part invites you to relax and enjoy your vacation without thinking too much about anything.

Our apartment was spacious, with two bedrooms, a living area, a bathroom, two terraces overlooking the sea, a pool, and a garden. The beds were so comfy - something that's at the top of my list of requirements when I travel and stay someplace. The second thing is cleanliness, and everything there was flawless. The entire hotel was completely renovated (2020) using boho-style and minimalistic features, accents, and finishes.

You get a buffet for breakfast and lunch, and the food selection is quite good. The kitchen is open during the day, so you can order a snack or lunch from the daily menu. The bar is open 24/7.

Hotel pool amenities: a wide garden with an outdoor bar, a large pool, a small pool (which I secretly think is something like a party hot tub during high season), a covered sofa area by the pool, deck chairs, and of course baldachin beds, which are the best locations for sunbathing and lazy napping.

The hotel has its own parking lot, located on the main promenade at the beginning of Kavos, 2 minutes from the sea and 5 minutes from the ferry port. The local beach is about 15 minutes from the hotel if you walk there, but my recommendation is that when you go to Corfu, enjoy its more famous beaches, and leave Kavos for a crazy party (because this city is famous for that).

Everyone at Ekati Mare is super kind and available 24/7. And yes, if you are going on a romantic trip, be sure to check out their beachfront villa, which is right by the sea.
