My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel in September, and I felt it pertinent to share my thoughts on the overall holiday, relating to the hotel specifically. First of all, I had emailed ahead of time a special request, for a bottle of Prosecco to be in our room upon arrival in celebration of our anniversary. The staff delivered on this, and it was a lovely opening to our stay. We had arrived quite hungry, with our flight being extremely early, but arriving after breakfast was finished, so ordered food at the pool bar. We had planned to eat by the pool but the wasp situation was too much for us, so we took our food to our room instead, to eat on our balcony. There's not a lot that can be done about this, so perhaps stock up on insect repellent. We were half board, and were supremely impressed with dinner that evening. The entire stay we made sure to dine at the hotel for evening meals, such was the quality of it. However, I feel breakfasts were a bit of a let-down, and after exploring the options available the following morning we opted to just not bother with them, instead eating out for breakfasts/lunches. It is entirely possible we just timed our arrival bad, but the selection available for half board breakfasts did not seem that plentiful. The rooms themselves were, for the most part, suitable to our needs. We paid for the air conditioning, which was a necessity in the heat and would encourage all to do, but I personally did not find the beds that comfortable, waking up with quite the sore back each morning. My partner had no such issues, so perhaps it is down to whether you like a firm mattress or not (I guess my back does not). Every time you shower it tends to flood the bathroom too, and we had a lot of extra guests in our room with ants all over the place. But despite these minor issues, I have no genuine complaints with the room and they were maintained quite regularly by the staff. Speaking of the staff, they must be commended for ensuring guests have an enjoyable time, and constantly are hosting activities to entertain everyone, every day, whether in the lounge or by the pool. We experienced a magnificent Greek barbecue night, which saw people dancing with professionals, smashing plates and enjoying a mighty fine feast, Greek style. The hotel is located a few minutes' walk from the beach, and despite the reputation Kavos has the hotel itself is at the bottom end of the strip, perhaps away from the apparent madness it is known for. This suited us perfectly as we were there for a relaxing time, rather than a crazy time! The area felt secluded and yet within easy reach of nearby bars and restaurants, If anyone is planning on going to Kavos I cannot recommend this hotel enough, purely because I feel the staff will genuinely bend over backwards to cater to your needs and deliver if they can. While I did list a couple of issues, these are minor ones, and should we end up returning to Kavos in the future we'll be coming back here.…
