After a long coach journey from Hamilton we were so pleased to arrive at the hotel and were greeted by such pleasant staff and handed our room keys straight away and found our room on the second floor. While the room was fairly small it was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had a lovely three course dinner served again by lovely staff at our table and the food was delicious. The breakfast is one of the best I have every had on a coach tour, bacon, sausages, fried, scrambled and poached eggs, potato scones, black pudding, tomatoes and beans and about half a dozen different cereals, fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. The tea and toast was brought to the table and we thoroughly enjoyed it. One of the evenings we were back late from our trip and there was a hot buffet of rice, chilli and chicken curry with naan bread and again fresh fruit salad. I cannot praise the hotel high enough and I would particularly mention Sandra, who is an absolute delight to meet and does a wonderful job from morning till night always with a lovely smile. She is a wonderful asset to the hotel.

All hotel staff should be trained here. Service 100%, excellent hospitality. Situated close to the estuary, wonderful views. Smallish room but had everything needed. Tea/ Coffee morning biscuits. Bathroom with shower. Beautiful view from room. We arrived on the late ferry . A hot buffet awaited which was just amazing. Three different curries plus vegee option then a dessert. Nice bar but most of us were far too tired and we had an early start next am. Fantastic breakfast, hot food freshly cooked( beautiful poached eggs I had). Staff SO friendly . Would love to return.

My mum and I stayed here as part of a Caledonian coach trip. The hotel is in a nice location, near a causeway/beach. The decor isn’t the most modern and the rooms fairly basic, but they still had everything we could need. The food was lovely, loads of choice at breakfast and everything freshly cooked. Evening meals were delicious as well. The staff were amazing. So friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. They could actually teach staff at top hotels how to excel in customer service as they really made our stay extra special. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

I have just returned this evening after a five day stay at this hotel with Caledonian travel. The hotel is clean, comfortable, wonderful food and fabulous staff led by Sandra. The team are an absolute joy to deal with, and work exceptionally hard to provide the high level of service to their customers. The wonderful staff and the high standard of food available certainly make this hotel. I would love to return sometime in the future.

I’ve visited and stayed at this beautiful, hearty and homey hotel with a bus tour group (Caledonian Travel) for four nights with my granny which all of this was my early birthday present from her this year which it’s was the absolute best present I ever had even though I’ve wanted to do a coach holiday to the Outer Hebrides for two years since the pandemic until this year where my wish had come true. When we arrived at the hotel at eleven o’clock at night on the first night staying there, Heidi the manager came out and opened up the hotel. He was accommodating during check-in and ensured that I, my granny and the rest of the coach party were settled into their rooms. We were allocated room six on the second floor. Our room was beautiful and we got the best views from the front and the side. The room was spotless and also our room was massive even though the ensuite bathroom was very roomy. Even some Tea, Coffee and biscuits were delivered to our room doorstep daily which was great. The free hotel wifi was excellent, comfortable and cosy beds and lots of storage especially the wardrobe for our clothes and shoes. We had a great night's sleep and great hot baths every night after going on our great adventures in The Outer Hebrides during our stay. From day one to the day we were leaving, The staff, especially Sandra had been outstanding with a huge passion for running such a lovely hotel like The Isle Of Benbecula House. Also, They were caring, loving and understanding about my hidden disability “Autism” and even they took some time out from their work duties to have a wee chat with me every evening during dinner when I go to the bar lounge to get my soda drink, especially on the final day when we were leaving the hotel to start the long journey home to Coatbridge. They asked me how I’m doing and how my adventures in The Outer Hebrides were and make sure that everything is okay with me. Even Sandra, Nicola and the rest of the fabulous hotel dream team had gone beyond the extra mile by arranging our meal times around our busy coach tour schedule that week without any trouble at all they’ve wanted to make sure that we all have got proper meals before we go on the excursions and after we get back to the hotel from our excursions on the coach, even they had put on a huge late evening buffet for us when we got back from a busy day in The Isle of Lewis on the last night staying there which it was brilliant. I can’t fault the lovely staff working in the hotel and they were the ones who made my dream holiday of a lifetime to The Outer Hebrides really special that I and my granny decided to brave the rain to the local Coop store to get some special thank you presents for the hotel staff which Sandra was over the moon with the gifts. It shows how we enjoyed our coach holiday to the Outer Hebrides and that it was the best hotel I had ever stayed in, in Scotland. Even though some of the passengers in our coach party kept on demanding the hotel staff for stuff all at once, especially on the final night staying there where some passengers were complaining about the buffet menu that they wanted different things to eat on that night even though a couple of passengers had a food allergy but the same time it wasn't nice for them to witness. At the same time, I felt sorry for Sandra and her great dream team had to put up with the passenger’s complaints towards them especially after they were being really generous to get up early and stayed late to cook our meals every day during our stay and I really appreciated all of their efforts and heart into making everybody’s coach holiday very special. The food was absolutely outstanding and modern. All of the meals we had at the hotel were all great quality products and homemade throughout and I loved every bit of it. Every morning the staff organised a breakfast buffet for us with lots of things laid out in a beautiful way with all of the cooked items on one side while hot porridge, cereals, fruit salad and yoghurts, fruit juices and milk on the other side. The Stornoway black pudding, the back bacon rashers and beef and pork sausages were absolutely the best I’ve ever tasted in my entire life that I had it every day. I love homemade porridge, fruit salad and honey nut flakes cereal. Two evenings during our stay, we had two fabulous three-course dinners with three choices in each course that my granny and I had fully enjoyed. The two three-course dinners were absolutely delicious in a very special Hebrides homemade way. My favourite dishes were roast beef, Sticky Toffee Pudding, North Atlantic fish pie and the Black pudding and ham hock terrine. It is absolutely the best Sticky Toffee Pudding I’ve ever tasted. On the last night, the hotel staff had put on a lovely late-night buffet for us when we had returned from the Isle Of Lewis with a very great choice of dishes inspired from other countries including Mexico, Italy, India and Thailand which it’s was brilliant, especially the Red Thai Beef Curry and The Chicken Korma curry, outstanding. Brilliant Customer Service all-round from start to finish with the first-class treatment of smiles, delicious food, lovely rooms, joys, love and care. I’m 100% recommend this lovely hotel if you’re heading to the Outer Hebrides on your holiday this year or you’re looking for a perfect place for your love ones with special needs, then The Isle Of Benbecula House Hotel is the right place for you and your love ones with special needs as long as you email directly to the hotel two weeks in advance to notify them what your child/adult needs to make sure the hotel staff are prepared to make your holiday enjoyable just like mine. If you would like to put in a special hotel request like food allergies, a special required room or anything you wish to have, the hotel is always more than happy to accommodate you with your special requirements before your holiday begins. A Big Thank You To Heidi, Sandra and Her Fabulous Team For All Of Their Hard Work To Make My Dream Outer Hebrides Coach Holiday Really Special. I’ll return to this wonderful hotel someday in the future.

Our tour (Caledonian Travel) booked this hotel for our 4 night stay in the Outer Hebrides. We arrived very late (11pm) on Day 1 after a very long trip from Glasgow. The hotel staff were on hand to ensure everyone was settled in their rooms. From that point on, the staff were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to accommodate us for meals around our rather busy schedule. Absolutely wonderful! The food was delicious, hot and plentiful. The rooms were spotlessly clean, if a bit dated, however, very comfortable with everything you will need.

Upon arrival at the hotel the staff were on hand to help assist my passengers with check on and with their cases. On the 1st morning we were treated to what I can only described as the best cooked breakfast I have had and as a coach tour driver that's a lot! Then to my complete surprised Sandra and Nicola agreed to make arrangements for me and my passengers to have the luxury of the full cooked breakfast early the following morning. This was not expected due to a very early departure. Talk about going the extra mile..... Well Sandra, Nicola and team the agreed to work late to ensure that we came back to a proper dinner that evening. AMAZING customer service 😊👍 And I can not fail to mention the fact that Sandra arranged to have my shirts washed, dried and returned to me with in hours... All in all, I don't think I have experienced such amazing customer service EVER! Well done and thank you very much for everything.
