What a lovely welcome Paul gave us. Nothing was too much effort for him. His mantra is that when you stay somewhere, you should have a comfy bed, a hot and powerful shower and a good breakfast. BenView B&B ticks all those boxes and Paul's friendly and helpful manner just seals the deal.

Like Paul our host says, a perfect stay is a comfortable bed, a hot and powerful shower and a good breakfast. Here you get all 3, accompanied by a very friendly host. Set back off the beaten track it’s in a lovely setting. Full choice of satellite tv channels to boot!

Excellent B&B with all the right priorities. Comfortable bed, good shower and breakfast, convivial host. Also lots of bits ‘n’ bobs like slippers and bath towels, fresh milk for coffee/tea, toiletries etc etc. In the middle of nowhere, but difficult not to be so up here, and a definite plus point for me. Dog friendly, if that’s your thing. Plenty of parking plus chickens and ducks. What’s not to like! Recommended.

Fantastic B&B. Very clean and Paul was very welcoming. Room was perfect and lounge had everything you could possibly want. Very large variety and choices for breakfast. Fry up was outstanding! Would definitely recommend to anyone and will be visiting again!

We stayed in the Lodge, a wonderful self catering accommodation with a hot tub. What an amazing place to get away from it all and just relax. Wonderful welcome from Paul and Lisa who were just lovely hosts and gave us all sort of tips from walking routes to shops and eating places. Overlooking a loch but not far from a beach, and surrounded by “the girls” - the ever entertaining chickens who of course provided the fresh eggs in the very full welcome hamper. Uist is a rugged place of calm, and BenView lodge is just perfect. Highly recommend! The Lodge has everything you need and is spotlessly clean.

First time staying at Ben View but a monthly visitor to the island . I have stayed in several hotels on the island . The accommodation and levels of comfort and relaxation offered by Paul and Lisa at Ben view, Sets a new standard which will be hard to beat. The room was spacious and comfortable with quality and up to date facilities in room . Shower was a quality shower with excellent pressure. The guest sitting room was extremely comfortable and welcoming where you could watch full sky Tv along with Sky in bedroom. A full cooked breakfast is available with good quality ingredients . This accommodation will not disappoint.

Wow Wow Wow!! After 1 weeks stay in Ben View Lodge - we didn’t ever want to come home! The view every morning was absolutely spectacular (even more amazing when we were greeted one morning by a group of Stags). The bed is an absolute slice of heaven that you quite literally could get lost in 😆 The log burner was fantastic and makes the cabin even more cosy if that is even possible! Great Shower and Kitchen facilities also. The coffee machine is an added bonus!! All in all we had the most amazing stay and could have quite simply stayed a lot longer! There is so many wonderful places to visit within the surrounding areas aswell. Thank you to Paul, Lisa and ofcourse the dogs, chickens and ducks for a wonderful stay! We felt so very welcome and we cannot wait to visit you again and hopefully this time we will find time for the hot tub haha 😆 PS- get booking!! This is a holiday experience not to be missed!!!…

Stopped in the timber lodge for 3 nights during an icy blast from the north. Excellent in all respects: great wood burner, awesome bed, well appointed fixtures and fittings, good shower and a beautiful large hot tub on the deck outside. Lovely welcome hamper of goodies. Our two dogs had a fantastic time too exploring N Uist with us. Paul and Lisa are perfect hosts. Would thoroughly recommend this place for short or long stays.

Fantastic B & B. Paul & Lisa are fantastic hosts. Great en-suite room, really clean. Comfy bed. Lovely evening Meal and breakfasts. Nothing too much trouble. Paul has a mini bar and soft drinks and chocolates area with honesty box. A lounge for clients use. Loved the chickens greeting us. Fantastic walk from property to large unspoilt white sand beach with no one on it. Will definitely be back. Faultless visit. Thank you to two amazing hosts
