Kids loved the Split level mezzanine floor in the room. Reasonable price. Clean room and friendly receptionist. Nice cosy cafe for breakfast. Quite a few food options in town, we drove cos of the kids but it's a short stroll to convenient store, pizzas shop, bakery.

A breakfast was served in a cafeteria and relatively good. The guest room is somewhat dark. It may be associated with a cloudy weather. The price of accommodation was not so high; so, it would be acceptable.

I stayed here one night. The room was quiet as requested and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is a little old, but perfectly acceptable. The breakfast was very good. The hotel was easy to find when driving.

Solstad Hotel is clean, comfortable and reasonably priced for B & B, in the centre of Gol. I stayed for one night on my way north. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, there is ample parking, free Wi Fi and the breakfast buffet offered something for every taste. I would certainly stay here again.

Hotel was nice, staff were friendly and helpful (they sorted the WiFi problem within an hour or so). Breakfast was nice, although limited to traditional Norwegian only. Very homey, wood panels, comfortable. I didn't like the fact there were no lifts and multiple steps to get to the room. Balcony was very nice and gave a nice fresh place to...

The Solstad Hotel is a comfortable, and miracle of miracles, reasonably priced hotel in a lovely part of Norway. A bit frayed around the edges, but the rooms were decently sized with a balcony. Definitely a good option for families and those on a budget--one saw mostly Norwegians staying at the hotel. Breakfast choices were fresh and good, if you...

The breakfast was good and the location of the hotel. The lady at the reception was very friendly. The beds and the pillows were too soft. As a result I could not sleep well. The room was spacious! A bit overprized in general!!

I chose this hotel as it had good parking, was in a useful location for travelling down through Norway and wasn't expensive and all these things were true. Not much more to say that other reviews haven't already said, so I'll leave it there.

Our extended family stayed here and the room we were in was considered a family room. We had our beds on the main floor and the kids LOVED the loft they were able to climb up into where 2 beds were waiting for them. This was perfect for our family. The rooms aren't fancy but neither is the town. It...
