Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've eaten and drank at The King's Head but never expected to stay there, living less than 5 miles away. I didn't bargain for the heavy rain, which flooded every approach to my village, so it was an overnighter. I was given room 306, top of the shop, which proved a little difficult with my restricted mobility but needs must. It's a big room overlooking the market place, well-equipped and quiet. After a comfortable sleep I had an eggs benedict and coffee breakfast before getting my lift home. Staff were friendly and helpful, recommended.

We stayed at the King's Head last week for seven nights as we wanted to visit lots of places in the lovely county of Suffolk. The hotel was brilliant and we had a lovely stay. My partner has mobility issues and it didn't occur to me to ask for a room on the first floor as I didn't realise that there isn't a lift. As we arrived late all the rooms were taken and so we had to accept a room on the second floor for our first night. However the following day we were given a room on the first floor that had a bath as well as a walk in shower which I was delighted about! The room was cleaned whenever we wanted it to be and like someone else mentioned the white towels are lovely and fluffy. Bottles of water are provided daily and biscuits replenished. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a really great week and thoroughly recommend staying here.

surprizingly lovely room, we got one with a bath (and walk in shower) as my wife had her arm in a sling, so was perfect. Excellent value and great location. All the staff encountered there were great. Ate and drank there in the evening and pleased both of us.

We stayed for 3 nights at The Kings Head. Had to move rooms on our 3rd night (we were a last minute booking and they were very busy). Comfortable, clean and very spacious rooms with good showers and big flat screen TV's . Rooms were serviced daily with clean towels provided (which were large and very soft and fluffy!) . Tea, coffee and biscuits provided and replenished. All the staff were very polite, pleasant, and very helpful. They even moved our luggage for us to our new room. Due to location, room 207 (family room) was a bit dark due to only having one window and could do with stronger lighting, especially over the mirrors.

Awful. Mattress was like a rock, the bar doesn't shut until midnight and then the cleaning staff are all shouting at eachother downstairs until the early hours. Got woken up at 6am by workers throwing thousands of glass bottles in thr bins outside, completely oblivious that they have hotel with guests. The food was either average or bad depending on what you got and the restaurant had flies hovering around while you ate.

However once found, Excellant.Big room, Super king bed, TV, WI.FI,tea/coffee station, large walk in shower, SUPER AIR CONDITIONING UNIT IN THE ROOM THAT WORKED ALL THE TIME and cooled the room superbly.Better than most five star hotels anywhere in the world. What a bargain at £78 a night.
