I booked four rooms, including the family room, as we were attending a family wedding nearby. The rooms were excellent and John went out of his way to arrange an evening meal on the day we arrived (not only were there 11 in my group but another 4 arrived from Scotland the same afternoon). The staff and management couldn't have...

Traveled here from Norwich for a family birthday meal. We were lucky to be fitted in as they were very busy as you cannot book unless you are a party of 8 or more. The food was excellent. 4 choices of meat unlimited stuffing and pigs in jackets and at least 8 vegetables. The staff are very friendly and helpful....

A last-minute decision to go out for lunch led is to visit the Swan at Gillingham for the first time. Although the restaurant was catering for a party, we were given a very warm welcome and seated immediately. The menu was comprehensive, with 3 additional 'specials' and our food arrived very promptly, served by two friendly and helpful waitresses. We...

I should have wrote this review last week and forgot. My apologies to John the proprietor. He'll be wondering where this review is. My husband Billy and myself visited The Swan for Sunday lunch probably the very last weekend in January. It's a carvery and is always packed. You should book. Good selection of roasts and plenty of veg with...

I have stayed here before. There have been a few changes..... it is not five star but the heart is in the right place. The staff are helpful and friendly. Relatively small menu, but I don't have any problem with that. The food is good. The room is outside, but no problem and clean / comfortable. It's not a lux...

I stayed here for one night. The room was well equipped, very comfortable especially the pillows and duvet. My colleagues and I ate there and the service and food was excellent, also very reasonably priced. The bar staff were also excellent. Very friendly, professional place, with a very relaxing atmosphere 😊

The rooms for this motel are to the rear of pub meaning that food and drinks are available during the day and evening. We stayed in a family room which was adequate although it was a little surprising that there was only one chair. The bed was very comfy with spotless white bedding and the room clean and tidy. During...

The staff were very friendly. The room was nice and warm on a very cold day. However the rooms must have very thin walls as we could hear the conversation of the people staying next door. The shower is small and the water pressure poor. The food was good but the service at breakfast was very slow despite there being...

Not our first visit but very consistent. The staff are always attentive and friendly. We have only ever eaten the Sunday Carvery which is an excellent home cooked style meal with lots of choice. We had one vegetarian who was very pleased with the range of (different to the norm) options she called ahead to pre order. The restaurant and...
