Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely family run campsite. Really welcoming and friendly, loads for the children with some animals, a nice swimming pool and a stream running through. 5 mins from lovely town of Castellane and the nearby lake which is just stunning and has boats, paddle boards etc you can rent.

Very nice camping, bungalows are cozy, the small market offers interesting local products. Very good as a base to explore Gorges. Nice restaurants in the nearby villages. Personnel is friendly and available

A farm, a pond, clean public showers and toilets & an amazing location in the mountains. I stayed in a beautiful little chalet: very modern, comfortable & clean with all amenities for a cheap price. The receptionist Babette is awfully kind and helpful. I highly recommend this place!

Our family of four spent a weekend in this camping site. We had a cottage that was a bit further away from others, having only one other cottage in closer vicinity (that a family of our friends occupied). The cottage is very clean, modern and has everything necessary for cooking. We did have to cook there as due to COVID the restaurants were still closed in the nearby town, the shops and boulangeries were open. The beds in the cottage were good and the shower was excellent. The terrace of the cottage was perfect for sitting outside. The campsite has also a communal barbecue area that looked nice, but we did not use it. Here are many hiking options near the campsite or short drive away. The campsite also has kids playground, but no swimming pool. Castellane, the closest town is about 5 minutes drive away. About 15 minutes away is a nice lakeside village of St Julien du Verdon. The owners of the campsite are super friendly. We would definitely visit this place again for a nice hiking and nature weekend.

this was our second visit and once again the owners were extremely helpful and could not do enough to make sure everything was all right and we were comfortable. The cabin was nice and clean and so was the bedding. Everything necessary was provided. As we were on our second visit we were offered complimentary drinks. A variety of languages are spoken including very good English. Although no restaurant on site you can order from a takeaway menu and have hot fresh pizza delivered promptly. Peace and quiet during the night and very flexible early departure times. Having drinks and nibbles in the shop is also very helpful.

We stayed here in a mobile home for 2 nights. The owners spoke limited but good English, were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was basic but clean, warm and had a great shower. The site was quiet and we enjoyed evenings in the sun in the seating area. We were perfectly located for what we wanted to do around the Verdon Gauge and spent two days walking around the gorgeous area. The village with restaurants cash points etc is 5 mins away and the supermarket is also a further few minutes away. There was a £6 charge for the bed linen but we was more than happy to pay this. We would recommend this site and for the price was excellent and couldn’t have wished for more.

what a sweet, helpful people who run this campsite that is suitable for peace seekers. the authentic, camping is quiet and fortunately no swimming pool; you will find this just in front of the center in Castellane. large camping pitches in sun or shade. when it appeared that our tent was leaking, they offered to sleep in the TV room (chalet) because all the rent caravans and tents were fully booked. You could order sandwiches a day in advance and were delicious. the toilets and showers are always clean! any mini mini point of criticism is perhaps that you can put your car / motorcycle in front of your camping spot so that there is frequent driving back and forth, even at night. I would rather see the means of transport parked at the beginning of the campsite. from the campsite you can make beautiful walks. I would definitely go back here again.

We stayed in a roulotte (a little gypsy-style caravan) for three nights and it was absolutely perfect. As soon as we arrived we were greeted warmly by the owner and shown to our accommodation. It was lovely and had all the mod cons we needed, with a great little outdoor space where we'd sit enjoying local wine and peace and quiet! The most important thing for us was to be away from it all, and La Ferme fit the bill. It was peaceful and serene, but close enough to town that we could pop to the shops or put for a meal easily. It's perfect for exploring the Verdon Gorge and there are some reputable folks who offer rafting, kayaking etc in the centre of Castellane (though we didn't use them, they came highly recommended). A bonus is that the local pizza place delivers BRILLIANT pizzas to the site free of charge! Perfect after a day of kayaking and swimming 😊

We were very impressed with the Camping ground. The proprietor was extremely helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The area is very picturesque. Breakfast baskets available and a variety of accommodation for all types of travellers. My daughter and her partner enjoyed the adventure tent while we opted for more comfortable self contained bungalow. Great amenities. From NZ tourists.

We stayed in a large chalet - which was basic but lovely. We particularly enjoyed having the decking and table and chairs outside. Beware it's very hot in the day but gets very chilly at night - although all beds have blankets. Great location - short drive to the lovely old castellane town and a large supermarket shop. Very close to gorges which were beautiful! We booked canyoning which was a fantastic day!! The staff were lovely and very welcoming!! Loved being able to order fresh pastries and baguettes from the bakery to be collected T the campsite in the morning. The only downside was we didn't have wine glasses in our chalet!
