The restaurant was already good but has improved much, the dishes have became more refined and are light and very tasty. Eg we had a starter of fresh pasta with a rucola sauce which was simply amazing, wouldn't be surprised if this became one of the young chef's signature dishes. Impeccable service too. The hotel on the other hand is... More

My girlfriend and i visited for a single Night, without having heard of the restaurant, and we didn't even bother to look inside the restaurant as we arrived, but the friendly host who welcomed us (who turned out to be the head chef) showed us to our room and asked if we would like to join them for dinner in... We have been staying in this hotel for 2 nights. Small , but very very clean. Staff of the hotel are extremely friendly. Looks like hotel belongs to the restaurant chef, as he was personally greeting us late night when we arrived and showed us our rooms. Surprisingly , continental breakfast was very rich and tasty. Gorge du Verdon is... More

My advice is check the pillows before going to bed. Ours were disgusting! Also the place stunk of fish. Would not go there again. The Restaurant was good but expensive. It was also used by many locals. They were lucky they only went for the food. There was also a Great Dane resident in the dining room.

Booked the hotel on our way home after a week in Provence mainly due to the restaurant reviews. No facility to book the room half board and we were extremely disappointed to find out the restaurant was fully booked for our night on arrival. Friendly staff on arrival were very informative. The room was pretty small to say the least... More

The Auberge du Teillon is a small hotel in a tiny village, but it's location is great for staying when exploring the Verdon Gorge. It was very easy to find the place, just on the Napoleon Route (D4085). We parked the car on the opposite side of the road and entered, to find ourselves in a restaurant. An way, the... More

This hotel is not at Castellane, but in La Garde, 5 km away on the route Napoleon. We had an excellent dinner: French cuisine at its best at reasonable prices. You cannot use your mobile phone, since the hotel is situated in a blind spot. Wifi available, but much too complicated to log in, therefore I cannot comment and recommend... More

Stayed here for 2 nights, attracted by the restaurant reviews but residents are not given priority, nor are they asked if they want to eat in the restaurant when booking, so unable to eat there the first night! The staff are very pleasant and helpful which as regards the accomodation is a huge plus. Breakfast was excellent, fresh and plentiful.... More

Stayed here for 2 nights at the end July. Room was simple but comfortable, although aircon at this time of year would be welcome. Staff were great, very friendly and helpful given my poor/non-existent french skills Restaurant is a must. Ate here both nights trying different dishes, one of the best restaurants we tried in regional France during our trip.

As a family of foodies we were delighted with the auberge du teillon having spent the day in the Gorges du verdon. The food kept coming and we enjoyed each course - in truth as much for the ambience as the great food. The plate of canapés was followed by the mise en bouche, the starter, the granita, the main,...
