This was my first trip to Finland. I was there for the World Cup Women's Slalom Events. Levy was a winter wonderland with 2 feet of snow and cold cold cold. But I had a blast! The Hullu Poro Hotel is beautiful, old style & comfortable. Very nice breakfast with lots of variety ( vegetables, bread s, cheeses, meats) and a staff that is so kind, professional and helpful. I would like to mention in particular the front desk people Jesse, Henna, Iida. And the housekeeping lady Ada. They all made me feel at home. And their English was superb. I was alone much of the time so I appreciated their talking to me as I waited around for my appointments. Also the room was comfortable and warm. Nice hot shower. Good lighting for reading. And I used the sauna-- all very clean and enjoyable. t is my hope to return to the World Cup Event next year and stay at Hullu Poro again.

We were meant to take the train but a snow storm (in September !) slowed us down, so we spent the night there. It was very quiet and we got a nice room for a decent price. The breakfast buffet in the morning was also quite something ! Extremelly varied offering that filled us up for a second day of driving. Nothing negative to report at all.

We went for breakfast. Breakfast was on the top floor of the hotel in an atmospheric space. The food was fresh, but the selection was quite limited. The service was good. The price was €19 minus: Only oat milk and almond milk were available as vegan.

We stayed here 7 nights, 8 days on a HB holiday booked with inghams. 11-18 December Flying reindeer - main building room I chose this hotel on the basis of hotels positive reviews and location in Levi plus only a 20 minute transfer from Kittilä airport to hotel! Having read mixed reviews of this hotel prior to our stay and even up to the night before going (reports of a sickness bug discussed on social media) I was feeling so stressed and apprehensive but we finally arrived at hotel on a Sunday afternoon. Entering the hotels entrance, the heat hit us and the decor was to our liking then after a short wait to check in. (Staff pleasant) We headed to our room - 337 flying reindeer room. Attached to main building - chose this so could go without putting on layers. (Now I’d messaged hotel prior to our stay plus our travel agent had put in our request for a room on 2nd floor and overlooking forest and not by thoroughfare.) We got a forest view that we were delighted with (over the week, day or night I had to pinch myself it was a view of dreams) Now floor 3 I knew we were under gym, but we were lucky that it only affected us one day around 11am that we’d gone to warm up and have snack in room (someone sure was pounding away on treadmill) Restaurant is on floor 4! FLYING REINDEER ROOM 2 twin beds separately in room (see photo) and a sofa bed that was ready made up for child. Comfy beds and pillows. Tv on wall above sofa bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, fridge, floating shelf above beds, wooden storage box. Bathroom - large bath and shower over it with plentiful hot water and powerful flow of water. Underfloor heating - so useful to dry snowsuits or anything (a line suspend high above bath useful for dying swimwear etc) Balcony with incredible forest view had 2 chairs and a table JAZUZZI We only used this one night around 8pm, time just seemed to disappear in Lapland. We went down, didn’t need to book (take towel from room, ask for clean towels at reception after) and as we walked into use jazuzzi, 2 others were just leaving so had room to ourself. Good temperature. Cold dip small pool was also in there and if hadn’t already gone onto jacuzzi would have tried this first! Sauna also available after changing rooms (Male and female separate - naked sauna!) BREAKFAST 7-10.30am Buffet Choice of cereals, breads/bread rolls Actual proper toasters you press down juice station - orange, apple, blueberry juice, still water, sparkling water. Hot water, selection tea bags, soya milk, oat milk DINNER Buffet Wide selection available with children’s selection LOCATION Central to Levi, ideal location. Ski slopes walk there within less than 5 minutes. We loved our stay.

Great hotel right in the heart of Levi. Stayed in one of the apartments which were lovely and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were great - plenty of choice. Easy to walk to the slopes and shops etc within minutes

We are a family of 5 and we stayed in one of the separate buildings to the main hotel. It was was an annexe with an upstairs which was great. 1 double bed upstairs 2 singles and a chair bed downstairs, there was a table and chairs and a kitchen area to make coffee, we also had a fridge. The shower room was large and had a sauna too. There was a lovely large balcony which looked out onto the snow capped trees. We went for xmas so took some twinkly fairy lights to make it more festive in the room. The main building was a short walk away and offered a selection of buffet breakfast food and the same for dinner, there was something for everyone, they also had a selection of Gluten free foods, don’t forget your room key though as you need it to get in the lift and to get in the restaurant. The hotel is a 5 minute stroll to the bottom of the ski slopes and 10 mins to the town, there is a supermarket a 5 min stroll away where you can get essentials and wine and beer! There are always lots of sledges at the front of the hotel which we used and returned when going out, everyone seemed to do the same. A good hotel for a family holiday.

We have been to Levi with Inghams for the past 12 years and love it and also the Crazy Reindeer hotel. This year however, whilst the total was fine, the food in the evening was terrible being dry and just warm. The Inghams reps are brilliant ask asked for photos of the food as they no longer eat there...! They said we were not the first to complain either. We passed these on but have heard nothing. One evening when we went into the restaurant it was 7.15pm (they serve until 8pm) and there were only a few people in there and the restaurant manager and two waitresses were stood by the bar. They all looked at their watches and rolled their eyes....we felt we were a massive inconvenience! This hotel is fine but please improve your evening food and choices, it used to be really good. Maybe also have fried eggs in a morning rather than just scrambled egg made from dry power mix. Breakfast is really good other than this.

Lovely, welcoming hotel. The staff here were all lovely and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The bed put out for our daughter was questionable, it didn’t even stand up straight, but she’s only small so it didn’t affect her too much; any bigger child I feel would have been quite uncomfortable. The adult beds look really basic when you first enter the room, but were surprisingly comfortable, and I visited at 8 and a half months pregnant, so comfort is key! The food was very basic, but tasty enough and with enough variety that everybody should find something they like. The hotel is very warm inside, partly I suppose it feels hotter because the outside temperatures are so low, but I feel the hotel is trying to overcompensate and actually most of our party ended up ill, as did a lot of other people we spoke to, so I feel the temperature inside was maybe up a little high.

Myself and my family stayed at The Crazy Reindeer hotel last December 2022, we are a family of three and our stay here made it extra special for our 6year old son who throughly enjoyed the kids club as the TUI staff made it so much fun! Particularly elf twinkle T who made a lasting impression on my little boy - he went the extra mile of playing the role and was genuinely a caring person that put a smile on his face every time, and named him elf Michael :) We thought the hotel was nice and cosy, everything was nearby but as I mentioned my son loved the activities and games so much he wanted to stay in the hotel most of the time as couldn't wait to be part of them. To see him happy was what made it for us, therefore we got to kick back and relax when we were there. Just brilliant all round!!!

I had read awful reviews of this hotel and was worried about my trip but have to say I was really pleased. We had a duplex family room, it was large, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The reception wS welcoming and staff helpful. We checked in about 2pm and our room was ready. We didn't have our room serviced during the week but when we asked for fresh towels and toilet roll it was all delivered no issues within an hour or 2. We felt the food was ok, plenty of breakfast choice the evening was hit and miss but we all managed to eat every night. There was 1 evening they didn't have much food but after a polite email with feedback they hotel dealt with it really well and they were very generous and kind and we ended up having a beautiful additional meal I've stayed in levi before at the levi spa, and I have to say the crazy reindeer for me was probably better overall. It isn't a fancy 5 * hotel but for what it was and location it was more than enough. Personally I would stay here again and would recommend it
