This property goes by a few different names--Chez Edna, Pension Auira, Pension Edna, or some variation of those. It is a very basic and rough campground with very casual management. The camp sites are fine, you can probably chose to camp closer to the beach (cooling breezes but no fun in high wind) or under the trees (sheltered from wind...

Besides the HUGE, and I mean HUUUGEEE spider that was chilling in our shower curtain, this place is amazing. Very peaceful, clean, quite, beautiful. We were supposed to camp there, but we asked if we could get a bungalow instead. There is only 1 bed for 2, but we had our sleeping bags (we were 3), so we arranged with...

We stayed at Auira for one night only - the garden bungalow is just terrible. Like the french review below, we had issues with the fact that it is tiny, the bedroom is so small that it is impossible to open 2 suitcases and be able to walk around. We kept both of them in the bathroom. The bathroom has...

It's truly a paradise. We spent 50 days on south pacific spanning french polynesia, cook islands, fiji and Pension Auira was the best place we experienced. The service was very friendly and the location is very beautiful. The bungalow where we stayed was very beautiful with big windows to the lagoon and you can see the main island also. For snorkeling you...

Gilbert is kind, friendly and helpful...every dinner was truly amazing--gained weight for sure! The motu is very quiet with great snorkeling walking distance, and you can take a kayak or get a ride over to the main island and there's a good beach across the way. The garden bungalows was decent--not the cleanest or nicest, but the location, food and...

The Pension Auira is not a luxury resort, but if you want to have the real Polynesia with a taste of the original stuff, it is the place to go: small, bautifully placed at the beach, Edna and Guillaume host you as you would be members of the family, good kitchen, only Pension on a big motu (coral island), good...

Location is perfect, you are in paradise. The view on Maupiti is unforgettable and the Motu is gorgeous. The food is really great and you will not be starving! So what? Our bungalow was not really clean, and not charming at all. Many details upset us. We never really felt so welcome and just a client and the service was...
