Varied menu and well cooked and well presented evening meal - if a little over-priced for pub food. Staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Would be a good alternative to a formal restaurant for an informal special occasion.

The Star Inn has changed owners this year and the improvements have been immeasurable. The previous landlord was not welcoming and the food average. Not any more! We have eaten here on a few occasions and the food has been excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. The Chef/owner takes great pride in his food and it shows. Dogs...

Haven't been to this pub in 30 years so lovely surprise to see how they have renovated it. Food was excellent. The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. I went with 3 friends and they all said their dinner was brilliant. Didn't have starters, just as well as the meal was fairly large. Puds were good too. Not cheap, but...

Went here last night having pre booked. The member of our party who made the booking had a good chat with the owner/chef and said he had good vibes. They told us there was a table of 19 before us so we went fully prepared. Nice relaxing bar area to chill prior to going to the rear of the location...

This pub used to be a good venue some years ago. A change of ownership changed all that with a couple who kept running out of food . It has now changed hands again and the décor is fine but there still seems uncertainly about who will be running in the future, it will not be who served us as...

We were glad to see that this Pub/Restaurant had reopened but were disappointed when we went to try it for dinner. Half the main courses were not available. We would have stopped and had a drink but the barmaid was very curt when we aske for the heavy metal music to be turned down. Can't see us going back there.
