Located at the short drive distance from the nice small historical town, the chateau is a good place for a night stay or a more or less long family/romantic escape. Th adjoining forest is a nice place for a walk, the regular area around is an illustration for how modern people may adapt to and resuscitate the old ruin. Host is warm and supportive. Breakfast is good, with their own jam assortment.

After a hefty drive from Bath, via Euro Tunnel, we were greeted by Diana's two doggies and then Diana (the owner) herself. Having not practiced our French for a while, it was a relief she was English for our first night....and she;s fun with many extraordinary stories. Before dinner, we joined Diana for a cosy glass of wine in her parlor and we headed to Vernueuil for dinner at a restaurant she'd recommended, though decor had a reminiscent 90's feel, the food was reasonable, delicious and quick. Our accommodations were comfortable, the beds, with french cotton bed linen, comfy pillows were all we needed to make us quickly drift into a deep slumber. Breakfast was served in the charming, sun filled dining room where we joined in a relaxed conversation with the other guests and Diana. Thank you Diana, you made our first night so memorable.

Chateau de la Puisaye is a lovely place to stay in an interesting area. A real old French chateau, the building is beautiful with a great ambience. The rooms are spacious, airy and with incredibly comfortable beds, all decorated with lovely curtains and fabrics in what the French call 'Le Style Anglais". Hosts Diana and Bruno are warm, welcoming and provide delicious breakfasts., Lovely big grounds and woods to explore, and a swimming pool. Great to take dogs to. Thoroughly recommend.

Located just outside the beautiful Verneuil-sur-Avre this is an impressive chocolate-box Chateau with a really great host. Comfortable bed with white linen sheets in a spacious bedroom. The breakfast was excellent and Diana’s attention to detail made our stay very enjoyable. Would be happy to stay again.

A beautiful French house with incredible history. We stayed in the family room which was very comfortable. Our children (8. 9 and 11) were very welcome. A delicious evening meal after drinks by the open fire (weather necessitated in August!!) and similarly delicious breakfast. Host welcoming and happy to help with anything. Swimming pool heated - little work to do on pool surrounds but a great stay - will return again no doubt.

This beautiful B&B nestles in its own magnificent grounds complete with wooded walks and a wonderful swimming pool. Diana is a wonderful cook and breakfast is a delight, even offering bacon and eggs. She will also provide meals if booked ahead. A great place to just chill or tour as you desire

Delightful setting and host was most welcoming. Great to have a pool to cool off in after a long drive. Platter and breakfast excellent including cider and wine (with the platter I hasten to add). Our dog was made to feel at home and loved playing in the expansive grounds.

We only spent one night there on our way back to the UK from South of France. We booked it very much last minute so we were very happy to get a confirmation of our booking! Beautiful chateau, lovely location and very charming and welcoming owner. We stayed in a very spacious, clean room and Diana cooked us delicious breakfast! We had scrambled eggs from chateau chickens. This place is great for the families and dogs- our own dog loved the country walks nearby and the owners' dog was very friendly too! Highly recommended!
