Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. On arrival, our rooms were not ready and we had to sit in reception for over an hour with our luggage. When our rooms should have been available the day before. If you want hygiene this hotel is not for you because the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and not clean. The toilets were filthy as they were not cleaned and it would not flush properly and when we told reception about our problem, we were told to put the used toilet tissue in the bin instead of the toilet. HOW DISGUSTING IS THAT!!! We were given fresh towels every 3 days and they were poor quality. The bedsheets were changed every 3 days. Our entire stay, we were given the same food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was cold at times and we had to queue for at least 30 minutes for lunch and dinner. There was no ice and we were given warm soft drinks all the time when it was very hot. The staff were unhelpful and not friendly and they did not speak English. The staff treated British people poorly compared to Russians and Germans. The other hotel guests were very rude and they would just stare at you. The only best thing about this place was the beach, it was absolutely beautiful. If you have a room in A block, you are lucky because it is closer to the beach and restaurant as B and C block guests would have to come to A block for food. This hotel does not offer any snacks. This hotel only caters for Europeans and I would really advise British people to stay away and not to book this hotel.

Travelled with a large family. Have to say the hotel staff were very accomodating especially reception staff. Hasan, in particular was a saving grace when we had an issue with transfer, Hasan went above and beyond to help us- a true Hero. Thank you Hasan. Hope the management recognise your costumer service skills 5*

So basically we are a couple in our mid 20's. Wanting to catch a bit of sun mid october and when kids where not off school we booked last minute.
I thought the reviews on trip advisor didn't really portray the hotel as a lot of them complain mainly about the guests and did really reflect about service ect.
BE WARNED!
Positives:
Last minute break for a bit of late autumn sun great!
Hotel staff like the cleaners and gardeners do take pride in there work
Some of the bar staff where ok. Some if them where about 12... Odd
Yeah now I'm struggling to find any more....
Negatives:
Food - it was just a horrific disaster! Hot food does not exist. Stews, meat ect cold!
Beach - if you like pebbles / stones and a walk across a busy main road go for it! There is a tunnel that goes underneath but I would not walk through it alone.
Staff - I don't know if it was because it was the end of the season or not but on general 90% could not give a flying.....
Drinks - drinking from a beaker meant for children in nursery is not the way forward. You would of needed to drink around 5 glasses for a pint! It's also very VERY watered down.
Pool - Freezing cold

Yes the hotel is mainly full of Russian guests. A lot of the staff speak Russian. I was frustrated because staff would speak English to them and the kids but would not speak to us!

Hotel is around a 3 hour drive from the airport. What ever you so don't book your transfers with A2B transfers!

We had 2 rooms booked. Upon arrival, we were given rooms in different blocks ir requested to pay extra €50 IN CASH to be placed in same block. When confronted about it next day by our tour guide, the staff denied it. Elevators always out of order. We had a baby in a pram so it made it very difficult for us. Once we got stuck in the elevator, emergency call button did not work. When confronted the staff, they rudely said that there is a phone in the elevator and everyone knows to press 0 to contact reception. No notices of such. Toilets didn't flush properly. No light in the toilet for 4 days, despite constant reminders to get is sorted. Water slide worked 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening, kids were very disappointed. Pool closed at 6 strictly. Food was terrible and always cold. If there was broccoli at dinner, there was a broccoli omelet
next morning. You get the point.... The whole hotel experience has ruined our holiday. Sheets were changed 3 times during our 2 week stay and they were not the cleanest. Toilet brush was available in only one of the rooms and a picture of it is attached.

At check at around 4am I was greeted with a young man who said straight away I was in an economy room but if I gave him 20euro he would give me a better room , so I payed it. Went up to room he left I just wanted to sleep lay on bed could feel like the base of bed mattress was so thin . Then all I could hear was drip drip drip from toilet went in and leaking toilet, I then looked at shower head and it was absolutely filthy I don't know what was on it but no way I shower in that . Down to him he came up moved me into another room , with smell and 2 little single beds , I said nope 3rd room was bigger no noise and I just wanted to sleep so stayed .
Next day looked round room , hadn't even been cleaned, couldn't get into fridge because it was so close to bed , there were black marks all over the units and hairs on bed 🙈
Disgusting, the food was as others have said was always same and cold , chips spaghetti potatoes everything and was same every night , staff were ignorant and would ignore you at reception by watching a film loudly on there phone as you stand there . Drinks were given in tiny plastic cups that you drank in one gulp and god forbid you asked for 2 straight away . Pool was ok but never seen it getting cleaned or roundabout it with hoses at night like every other place I have been too. Terrible terrible place stay clear people honestly, and I have never ever did anything like this before but I feel I have too . Only saving grace was the sun 🌞😎👌

We’re do I start first of all I was charged €50 for a room upgrade and it’s a con as it’s the night manager that keeps money as we didn’t get a receipt for the upgrade . Cleaners were terrible cleaned the room but didn’t brush floor or balcony .no hot water for shower always a cold shower which isn’t ideal. Staff are rude thought out stay pool bar gantry full but bottles empty only have vodka and beer on tap and when you order a beer it dosen’t get filled and won’t let you get more than 2 even if you are sitting with friends .food was awful and when you complained they tried to billy you to be quite can’t bully Scottish people lol to say it was a crap holiday was a understatement only all inclusive I’ve been to that you had to go to shops to get alcohol for the entertainment as they run out . I would avoid at all cost as it’s a hell hole and the staff are rude and very cheecky when you question that they don’t have drink

Everybody we spoke to had the same experience we had bug you yeh to make the best of a bad situation but you couldn’t make the best out of this hotel .

We stayed at this hotel for 11 days . On arrival, our airport shuttle didn,t come I have to find a taxi even I paid for shuttle and the reception are very rude they don,t speak English at all.If you want hygiene this hotel is not for you because the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and not clean. The toilets were filthy as they were not cleaned and it would not flush properly a toilet door was locked by itself and when we told reception about our problem, we were told to come and fix the door within 5 minute but they never come until the next morning so my children used water bottle for whole night which is unforgotbel time and me as a women I can,t use a bottle I have to weak my kids from sleep and travel a miles away to find a loo.HOW DISGUSTING IS THAT!!! I would say this hotel suppose to be 1 star not 4 star.

This is definitely not a five star hotel more like a two star entertainment is terrible. Kids disco go from nine till 10 and then you get one hour to 11 o’clock for the adults just basically crap music food is the worst food I’ve ever had in any hotel, the room is reasonable, the hotel is situated 8 km from the main town so not much to do in fact nothing really you will definitely need to rent the safe as I’ve heard many stories about things going missing from rooms I definitely would not recommend this hotel. I now know why it was very
cheap. I have given a true account of this hotel.

I was very disappointed in my stay here with my children, neice and friend. The cleanliness wasn't the best. We had to pay 30GBP to upgrade our room and 500 Lira to pay for WiFi for our room. There was minimal entertainment during our stay, nobody wants to bring the children on holiday and watch Tom and Jerry 🙈 this was 9pm-10pm and 1hour adult entertainment.
I would never recommend this hotel to family or friends and I would never return.
The food was a disgrace, no snack bar, no ice creams for the children and mimimul drink choice for all.
For an all inclusive holiday you expect to let your children eat and drink what they want, I had to use our spending money buying food for my children.
Don't waste your money!

I rested with my family on sun star beach in September of this year and I can say with confidence that we were satisfied, the territory has a beautiful view as well, a warm and comfortable pool, a private beach and a beautiful sea. As for them, there is a lot of it, especially desserts , you definitely won't be hungry. Every evening there is an entertainment program by the pool for both children and adults. The rooms are spacious with a balcony. And the most important thing is the incredibly nice staff, reception staff, restaurant staff, waiters, cooks, bar staff, animators, all of you are wonderful and friendly people. I want to give a special thanks to Faruk Sener, who has become my son's best friend and therefore my son too, be well Faruk.San star beach is a place where you want to return again and again💕
