Managed to by chance hop on a boat from Mbegani that was going out to Lazy Lagoon and thought in worst case we just have to go back directly with the boat. The manager Lewis met us as we arrived and feeling very well welcomed we decided to stay during the day. Best choice ever! We spend that day being...

I recently holidayed in Tanzania for the first time with my partner. We had booked the lazy lagoon island in hope that it would fulfil our holiday expectations, which I am pleased to say it did by a long stretch. The accommodation was absolutely fantastic, with equally as fantastic staff who went over and beyond expectations to make sure we...

Lazy Lagoon is the ideal place to go to after the rigours of safari trips. The best time to go is mid week when it is a lot quieter. Shoes and socks off to get into the boat to go to the island where you are met by Lewis the Manager and staff. Lewis is a perfect host, congenial, cheeky...

I can honestly not describe how much of an amazing place Lazy Lagoon is. Imagine a desert island get away, white sand, blue sea, lovely weather, and then add amazing food, drinks, activities and amazing staff. This has been hands down by favourite holiday to date. The manager Lewis is a real asset to the lodge. He was professional but...

Lazy Lagoon is the perfect little weekend getaway. The beach is gorgeous and secluded, so is the common area. The food / accommodation could do with some sprucing up; considering the price, but the overall experience is lovely

I feel privileged to have visited this paradise island. Lewis and the team made us feel like we were the only guests on the island by catering to our every need, and beyond, while treating us like long lost friends. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere, relaxed. A great place to escape the noise, and litter, of the mainland.

lazy lagoon was visited by me for the 2nd time and again it proved to be absolutely magic. astonishing chef in the kitchen, very kind staff and a breathtaking setting in the ocean with the beach 4 or 5 meters away from your porch and yet close to the Mainland (10 minutes boat). It absolutely beats Zanzibar, where we were...

We had a fantastic stay here being beautifully looked after by Lewis, the lodges excellent new manager, and wonderful staff. Lewis has recently started at Lazy Lagoon and he brought with it an outstanding energy to renovate, inspire and rejuvenate this lovely lodge. It's location is idyllic, reached via a short private boat ride, with the whole island to itself...

Quiet and beautiful. And 1 hour away from Dar. We loved it. Food could use a little improvement but overall we had a great time! Totally recommend it if you love the water, sand and sun. Kids friendly and staff are super helpful. Would go there again!

Nice housing with private huts with lots of space, running water and WC and showers. Great restaurant area! Typical for coast is corals, but great for snorkling for exotic fish where the boat enters the island. Local fishermen pass every day in their ngalawas and bring fresh fish and lobsters to the restaurant.
