The hotel staff were extremely helpful. The room was clean and we paid for the air conditioning which we needed. The fridge was very much appreciated. The shower in our bathroom was small and extremely basic but we managed. The breakfasts are adequate and we enjoyed them. The pool area was spacious with a very good pool bar. I would recommend rooms overlooking the countryside on the first floor not the road or car park. There were a number of guests that had stayed here before.

Don't believe the bad reviews. The breakfast was a good continental one. The shower was small and hand held but easily overcome. Plenty of hot water at anytime . The sheets were white and crisp and the towels white and fluffy changed regularly. All the staff were pleasant that includes the owners. Someone commented that staff should smile more at breakfast. The young girl was obviously very shy but very good at her job. The pool area was lovely and we saw the pools being checked every day. Good meals around the pool at reasonable prices. The walk into town the quick way had good lighting but had to be aware of oncoming traffic until you reached the pavement which wasn't very far. We would certainly go again

Just returned from a week at the Pericles Hotel. Staff were great, room comfortable, although shower very small. Sami is a great base, loads of nice restaurants and bars. Beautiful evening views over the harbour and nearest beach AntiSamos is lovely. Hire a car if you can to explore this fantastic island

Hotel very basic but the price was cheep. Went with little expectation. Rooms are outdated as is the hotel. Receptionist lady was lovely. Staff for breakfast could do with smiling. Breakfast was OK, just. Pool was great and friendly staff. Food at the pool bar was quick and generally fine. Long walk int town but we liked that. Now, the reason it only gets a review score of 3 is in the second week there were rats in some peoples bedrooms. Response from tui rep was, what do you expect, its the countryside. 4 days it took to get a rat trap. Would we go back no. However if your looking for a cheap holiday, they get rid of the rats and you don't have mobility issues it's a decent, cheap holiday.

just came back from staying here on first arrival seemed ok no good for anybody with mobility issues as there are no lifts and there are three floors we were on third floor the rooms were basic and very dated proper 80s décor as we expected from the photos the good points of the hotel were we had a fridge that was a god send and the pool area was clean plenty of beds cant imagine what it would be like high season the barman ANDREAS and the lady who used to all the cooking unfortunately didn't get her name were very friendly and polite and the food there was great specially the club sandwiches some of the beds were rigid plastic so all you could do was lie flat so not worth getting them there were only a few cushions to put on the beds the pool was cleaned most days the bad parts are its a bit out of the way you can walk it to the harbour but you have to walk on the road which is not good as there is coaches lorry's there is a back way ok in the day but they are country lanes don't know what its like at night the rooms were not cleaned they used to change the towels every other day not every day even though they used to come in every day to fold the sheet they gave you the bedding was changed three times as we were leaving my wife checked under the bed and said there was something under there turned out to be two plasters and they definitely were not ours so they hadn't cleaned it properly from the last people who stayed there i know it was under the bed but still just a quick check and it would have been sorted the cupboards were never cleaned as there were stains all over doors as if someone had opened a can and it had gone all over it the bathroom was useless the shower was no good as in it was the size of a kitchen tile every time you turned round the curtain used to catch you and go with you hence all water on the floor one day my wife said there something crawling on the floor i thought it was a leech but it turned out to be a drain worm as there was a drain on the floor to get rid of the water and the bathroom smelt damp and it was always hot in there the whole hotel could do with a re vamp to bring it up to date it looks really nice from the outside also the breakfasts was the same every day not very good not much choice i know its only 2* but i would struggle to give it 1* it was only the pool and the pool staff that saves it i know its only 2* and you pay for what you get but a few little things could have been rectified and there would have been less negative remarks last thing £10 pound a day for aircon bit of a rip off would not stay here again may be if it was updated and breakfast was updated but cost would go up

after staying at the Pericles hotel. I now realise how comfortable my cell was in Brixton prison where I was in solitary confinement. OK…room wasn’t clean it was like a cell..bath tiny couldn’t sit in it. Shower curtain stuck to you. Plaster coming off wall. Dingy. Maids banging on door 9.00 every morning…stained small table….really depressing! Breakfast so bad apart from toast!we ended up buying yogurt from local supermarket and eating in our room as everyone looked so miserable as well.

stopped here in August 2023 and the hotel is clean basic but not 5 star. the breakfast was OK, no complaints clean towels and rooms, the maids the bar staff and receptions were helpful, the beer is 5 euro a pint my tip is buy 1 euro cans from the supermarket put them in your fridge and drink them secretively from when in the bar, get a glass of course, if you are going to drink in the hotel, the walks to Sami are not to bad but a taxi should only be 5 euro, and you should not have to pay anymore. the kraken bar has some good music on, but Sami was a bit quite for me but still la nice town to drink in. so ignore the petty reviews from whinging 5 star snobs, treat the hotel as 3 star and if you don't like walking book else where or get a taxi simple.

I read a lot of reviews saying “you get what you pay for” I didn’t realise how literal they meant, generally this relates to the whole hotel, here it’s about individual rooms. We stayed in rm 102 which was downstairs, it was clean I think but so dated and tired it was hard to tell. I asked to be moved and was told Tui controls the booking so couldn’t change the room and in any case the hotel was at capacity. I heard another couple been told the same on our last day. They’d paid nearly twice we had. Just a few points I personally found Firstly all the people are friendly, the weather is usually beautiful and the sea was stunning so enjoy the holiday you saved for. Breakfast… Adequate, the usual continental stuff… toast, egg, boiled and omelette 2 cereals and cheese and ham. Yogurt and pastry. The pool and pool bar… Nice clean, bar and food were fine and the staff were really friendly. The food was served at lightning speed hot and tasty. The lobby bar didn’t open til later, and I didn’t use it but it looked busy when open. Sami Although Sami is a lovely harbour with a good selection of bars and restaurants the walk in is either along a fairly busy road with no pavement for the first part, lots of people did it so maybe it was fine or the other was was a lot quieter lane. It was more rural, complete with the hotel bins, feral kittens, rats and chickens. I have to say the rural walk was still the better option. It’s about a 20 minute walk! There’s a lot of dogs and cats roaming around it’s generally excepted and they are friendly, the bar staff shoo them away if they get over friendly. Personally I wouldn’t stay here again but many do so perhaps we were so disappointed with the room it spoilt the experience.

I got a late deal with TUI for the last week of the summer holidays for just me and my daughter (aged 11). I had read the reviews previously and hoped for the best and honestly there is nothing wrong with this place for the Mk who you pay. Rooms were clean, nice big balcony. We lasted without the air con (just) for a week but you get used to the heat. Pool was gorgeous with amazing views of the hills and mountains . Sami harbour is beautiful as was Antisamos beach. Well worth a visit. Able to walk to the nearest supermarket in about 10 mins and the port wirh restaurants in about 15 so not bad at all. My daughter absolutely loved it here and wants to return next year!

I think the hotel diffidently uses their best pictures for advertisement. the rooms are dead basic, As the title says, you get what you pay for. The showers in the rooms are as about much use as a chocolate teapot, they're about 500mm x 500mm. if you plan on spending as much time away from the hotel as possible then its perfect. Room was clean though. A kettle with tea and coffee wouldn't go a miss. the pool area is probably the best part. cant really fault it. plenty of sunbeds, pool is a good size and clean with a bar for snacks and drinks. The air conditioning for the rooms is a rip off, 10 euros per night and you have to pay for the amount of time you are there.
